I don't like shopping either. But I prefer catalogs to websites for picking stuff out. The I order on-line.

We are pretty well supplied with Chinese Take-aways in and around aren't we? I am very partial to Chinese food but often wonder how authentic it is. Our next door neighbour is Chinese, he is the Executive Chef at the Burswood and his food is nothing like what I think of as Chinese.

Rola, if you ever do, you might like it! I have bought a slipcover for Al's recliner at a great savings, and I buy quilt fabric a lot, and some clothing , and powdered milk, office supplies, Al buys parts for computers

Linda, most of what you get in Chinese restaurants is supposedly Cantonese food. China is so big and so isolated in spots that there are many types of Chinese quisine. They are so far flung that some speakers of one dialect can't understand another.

MizTricia I find that loads of things are really inexpensive online in the US but the postage to here is very high and cancels the savings.

Ruby that is true. Some of our local take-aways have adapted their food for Western tastes though.

Rby, Angie made it for me.
My head is throbbing something fierce, so I think I shall have to rest my eyes which will undoubtedly wind up with me asleep!
Hopefully, I'll catch you all tomorrow (which is in about 2 minutes); it's been nice chatting.

Hello, MizT, Stella, & anyone else here. I just popped in to see what was happening. MizT you're right, not much time for pooter today. We went to the French Embassy for Bastille Day today. Drank some French champagne & wine, talked to some friends, & ate a bit of uninteresting (supposedly French food). We had to stand outside & it was pretty cold, but got to chat to some interesting people. Hope everyone else has had a good day (& about to start one)

Afterwards we went to buy a new pooter chair - I will probably have to spend more time here studying so need to be more comfortable. I start Uni on Monday, but will be at my work for the rest of the week, so not into full Uni stuff till the week after.

HI Stella and Jenni, sorry I missed you, was catching u on posts on EASY! got a chuckle or 2 there today.
Stella, maybe we can ccatch up later. No, kitties were good, and I had slept all night, so after 6 am is late for me to get up, usually I am out and making coffee by 6. Only sleep in if I had a wakeful night .
Jenni, that sounds like an interesting day, visiting the embassy. Can just anyone drop in for the celebration? Or only invited cause your hubby is French? isn't he? I mean, I do not know anyone who 'goes to the French Embassy' you know, heheheh.

Besides, I can't type - I keep turning all my words around & have to keep changing them. I can barely type one word without making a mistake.
