Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Brenda, I won't be seeing Suzanne this trip. She will be staying with her parents on the west coast of Florida, about a 5 hour drive from me. With school, I won't be able to get over there.

Tami, Suzanne will be so close, yet so far. To bad you will not see her this time. People forget that there can be some great distances in Florida. It "hangs down" so far.

Just checking in for a short visit, I must get my morning chores out of the way for the cleaning lady arrives.

Weather has changed, We have cool crisp temps today, very low humidity. Going down to near cold tonight, into the 40's (7C) is the forecast a high today of low 70's (22C). I am sure Al will want the heat on tonight. Yesterday was summer!!

Hugs to each of you, with extras. Till later.

I didn't know where Suzanne was going to be in Florida. It would have been nice to have caught up with her sometime.

The carriage is as clean as it's gonna get. Looks gooooood. I still need to clean Challenger's harness. Tomorrow morning, I'll braid his mane and tail, then head off to the parade.

Have a great time at the parade Heidi.....but do be careful please....
To all of you, may your joys be greater than your challenges, but may you be able to meet either with the best you have within you. Peace

Wow, only 4 posts in the 12 hours between my visits.

Today was a good day at school. It was Friday I am taking off on Monday. I was called for jury duty. I hope I don't get put on a trial, at least not a long trial. Oh well, must do my civic duty.

I tuckered out and didn't get the harness cleaned yet. I tend to have energy at night, so I might go out at midnight and do it then. It won't take much time.

Morning all,

Julie, next time you drop in I'd like to hear some more about your trip - even if it means you don't comment on all of our posts!

Tami, it doesn't matter how many recipes I get, I rarely cook them.

Rolanda, wish I had my shopping started! Oh for the years when I had most of it done by now...

June, it was nice to hear that Laura was able to have a little cry. I hope she doesn't feel like she has to be strong like the adults as she sometimes seems like a little adult.. You've still been busy, but at least it's doing stuff you want to do rather than have to do.

Tami, no matter how smart a kid is, I'm not sure that workload is a good thing. Do kids burn out on academics like they do sports and music? Regardless, I think he is amazing!!

Heidi, glad your tractor is fixed. Have you made the supplier of the diesel come back and clean out your tank???
I'm going to post this before I lose it again!

Suzy, I try to make sure Mitchell gets a balance. That is why I sometimes help him with assignments. I am not that thrilled with the music class or teacher. I don't do the work, but I will type for him and help him with research. I also proof read and check for errors. He is a lot like my brother, very smart and gets bored easy. If he was in any other program, I think he would be in trouble a lot.

Tami, is your hubby being good and doing what the doctor ordered? I hope his hand is improving.

Tami, he'd probably be one of those kids in class who disrupt everyone else, which is fine for them because they 'got' it instantly, but sucks for everyone else. Doing past papers doesn't seem like an appropriate way to learn class material, boring as.., so I agree about the teacher of that class.

Suzanne, I know you're excited (with reason) but will you please stop YELLING at me, you're giving me a headache!

Suzy, the music class is an AP class and the papers are the teachers way of making sure the kids have the knowledge to pass the AP exam at the end of the year. He does "get it" quickly and that is the problem. My older brother was like that and always in trouble.

Hubby is being a good boy about his finger. Of course, since he has a big booboo, that is always the hand he hits.

Hi, Friends! It's nearly 10 p.m. here, so I better get reading on page 229!

Suzy, your TOPP is full of wisdom! Thanks for sharing!

Brenda, I hope your cold and cold sore have both improved!

Cyn, I'm so glad Lachlan is home and safe! Did he enjoy his trip to Japan?

Viv, I am so impressed that you can keep your Avon going successfully with the problems you have with your back! Good for you!

Heidi, I'm glad to hear that IH is "on board" or at least semi-interested in what the doctor will have to say in December!

Suzy, I hope all goes well with Forever Archie!

MizT, I'm glad to hear that meds seem to be hellping and Al is a bit more relaxed and cooperative!

Broni, I hope the job interview went well!

Mama, I hope all of your "pooter" woes have been straightened out!

Here I am on page 230. Rolanda, have I told you yet how impressed I m with your organization!

So glad you are back safely, Vicki! Sorry to hear that S#2's arm isn't healing as well as hoped!

MizT, I hope all of the paperwork got completed and you can rest easy for a while before the next round!

Rolanda, a floor lamp sounds like a great Chrissy pressie idea! We were always trying to find more lighting for MIL, as her room in assisted living seemed dark.

June, your day in Sydney sounds marvelous! Good luck convincing your hubby that he needs to learn how to use the new vacuum!

Mama, I loved the way you reminded all of us that we have great kids and can be proud of them! It is such fun getting to know each others' families! It really feels like one big extended family here! Thank you, Everyone, for contributing to that warm feeling!

Broni, you have set some high goals for getting your house ready to be sold. I hope it isn't so far off that you have too much time to rethink after completing work. Don't overdo, my friend!

Heidi, I'm glad you and Challenger had an opportunity for a good ride finally! I hope all goes well tomorrow in the parade! Hurray for the return of your tractor!

MizT, while we all hope that you won't need to fully consider your "plan B" for a long time, I fully understand that it is something you need to consider. The thought has occurred to me as well, that my hubby might precede me. I think we are better off realizing the possibility and thinking of alternatives than sticking our heads in the sand and pretending that nothing will ever happen. Who knows - by the time you need to act on a plan B, there may be other alternatives available.

Heidi, can any action be taken against the company that provided the contaminated diesel fuel?

Steve, we are sending positive vibes your way for the writing to get easier!

Rolanda, sounds like a very productive morning!

Suzy, so sorry you lost a long post! That is SO frustrating! I know I am trying to remember to SAVE before I submit!

Woo Hoo, it's on to page 231 for me!

Great TOPP(s), Broni - and thanks to Theresa, as well!

Too bad Suzanne and Brenda won't be able to meet up with our Florida girl! But, wait, I'm not sure the Brenda-Tami visit won't work. It's just that Suzanne's parents are too far away from Tami.

Enjoy the cooler, drier weather, MizT!

Heidi, I'm glad to hear that you're ready for the parade! I hope the weather is beautiful and you and Challenger both have a great time! Enjoy!

Tami, good luck with jury duty, if you're chosen! Hubby was called to report several days before we were to leave for our trip. It was a murder trial. Fortunately, he wasn't chosen!

Heidi, don't over-do when cleaning Challenger's harness tonight! We want you to be able to enjoy the parade! By the way, your dinner sounds delicious!

I agree with Suzy! I'm glad Laura was able to cry and miss her mummy. Being a stoic isn't all that wonderful. While she is mature for her age, she is still a 6-year-old girl.

Rolanda, a busy weekend ahead, but 2 Christmas presents already taken care of! Good for you!

Tami, I understand about keeping Mitchell challenged. Researching and writing a paper can be more effective for some students than being "lectured at", and I hope that's the case with Mitchell!

Suzy, how nice to find that comment, and very observant of the commenter, though I find it amazing that she's still considered "American"! Alie is awesome!

Rolanda, so sorry the car yard wasn't willing to pay a respectable price for the car. No wonder so many people sell a car by themselves! What a shame that the shed-packing isn't going well - hopefully he's helping you!

I should have been in bed an hour ago, as we need to be up by 5 a.m. and have a LONG day ahead of us. With luck I'll be able to fill you in tomorrow. In the meantime, please put the positive thoughts, prayers, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to use wherever they're needed! Good Night!

Nobody about!
Julie you do such a wonderful job commenting on all our posts but ignore our questions about Ireland.
Went to shops this morning (bread etc0. Came home and procrastinated on ironing, pantry or fridge. Went and had a Nana nap instead!
However I have cleaned out all the fridge, throwing out a lot of out of date items etc. Also have a big pot of steak and kidney cooking (will do a few meals). Does feel I have achieved something!

Evening all,

Julie, Ireland!! Please tell us about Ireland!!

Home again. I had to go alone as hubby ended up having to work today. It was easy to find the place, but parking is always a problem in Wollongong.

The girls did really well and had suggestions for people who might be interested in having them play and how to get famous etc etc as per usual.

The bands on with them couldn't have been more different! Lost in Verona are heavy rock - they make me feel old as I've known the boys since they were around 6 or 7! Now they're young men. Then was The Ganaschz. They were just as loud, but there was some amazing stuff going on under the banging and clashing...

I called that one right. Couldn't sleep... my brain kept going over details that I don't want to forget, such as packing water for Challenger, bringing something to attach the number to the carriage, and cleaning his hooves out before the parade.
Now for breakfast, then to air up the trailer tires. Challenger is a BIG horse, and can flatten low tires.
