I am having a blast watching the lovebirds. A couple of other pairs are starting to build nests. They make them inside wooden nest boxes using various grasses and willow branches I leave on the floor of their cages. To carry the material to the box, they tuck it under the feathers on their backs and fly to the nest that way. It's fascinating to watch.

I'm doing another good deed. A friend of mine is making a special dress for her daughter, and she wants to incorporate peacock feathers on it. I told her that I have a couple of hundred peacock feathers, and she can help herself to as many as she needs.

Hi all. Just back from Dylan's baseball game. His team won 16-10. He played good and got on base both at bats. First he got hit by pitch and next he walked. He played first base and did a good job there, making several outs.

Time for me to go to bed. See you all in the morning.

Hi All,
Been tied up most of the day with phone calls back and forth...seems grand daughter who is expecting in December was having what she thought were contractions....scary this early....but things have seemingly settled down and they sent her home. I do hope they're right!
Hugs to all and extra healing vibes to those who can use them...safe travel to those who are going away...enjoy! Peace.

Got a couple of new smilies approved, after I discovered that I didn't have a good picture of a Peach Faced Pied lovebird. So, here is what 2 of the new babies will look like:

Good Evening, Everyone! I'm getting a late start here tonight.

Cyn, I've not heard of a shoulder going fibrous before. I guess that's better than a frozen shoulder. I hope the pain meds give him some relief!

Hi, Broni! Hope you're having a good day! Have you heard from Bruce yet?

Gail, I hope your D is feeling better!

Suzanne, safe travels to you! Enjoy the visit with your parents! Happy Birthday! Here's a cake that will hopefully remain fresh until your birthday. (I think it's coming up rather soon.)

June, I hope you finally were able to sleep and woke up refreshed! How was the train ride? Enjoy your visit with your Sis and her grandies!

Improved health to all who have not been feeling well!

Heidi, will you be posting a picture of your new corner cupboard? I can understand your need for vigilance to keep all diseases away from your birds!

Heidi, it must be fascinating to watch the love birds build their nests. I've never seen a bird tuck something under its feathers on its back in order to carry it. I hope you will post a picture of the dress incorporating peacock feathers! Wow, I can't believe you have a couple hundred of them (compared to my 3).

Broni, I hope your mouth is more comfortable and less numb by now! The dentist is not fun!

Heidi, I think the corner cabinet looks quite pretty, but it's a bit small, don't you think?

Tami, congrats to Dylan and his team on another win!

Rolanda, the days are sneaking by! Good luck with all of the packing!

Mama, prayers for your granddaughter that all is well for her and the baby! I assume the hospital staff or doctor who saw her know what they're talking about! Thinking positive thoughts!

Nice new smilies, Heidi! That's a very attractive bird!

I'm going to get ready for bed. We have an early morning tomorrow. Thinking positive thoughts, and sending prayers, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for all! Good Night!

What an amazing international wedding, Broni! Love and best wishes to the newly married (soon) couple ♥

Beth is alright I think, today was a busy day so I have yet to send her a message. Chloe slept over there the night before last, and insisted Beth call in sick, she said she needed at least one more day of rest. Thankfully (!) this happened on Beth's two days off, apart from the day she called in sick. Chloe said she was freezing, and kept cuddling up to Beth to try and steal some fever heat!

June, I have learned to cherish every 'I love you Mum' moment xoxo

Hope you haven't got too much more packing to do Rolanda. will you have to un pack it all in the rental or can you manage to leave some things packed until your new place is built?
Broni, hope the dentist didn't hurt you or your bank account too much. Hope you find the job you really want to do soon.
June hope you have a good time with your sister and her two grandies, plus of course Laura.

Mama, hugs and good thoughts winging their way ....

Just got back from doctor's appointment - he was very pleased with me not smoking - he has been bugging me for years!! I have gained way too much weight since quitting smoking, so hopefully next week I will start a walking program. He wants me to stay on all medications for now, have more blood work and an ECG done in late December or early January, and then we'll see about the abnormal ECG's. He says the abnormal finding could be "normal" for me.

I don't have the little computer very often any more - grandie wants to use it most of the time. It does belong to her so I can't really complain.

Theresa..... no 2 people are alike, so I don't understand how they come up with what is "normal". Instead, they should have a range based on the mean, and determine what is healthy and what is clinically dangerous. Obviously, your heart is perfectly healthy. That is "normal" for you. They should never tell people that they are "abnormal" when within the healthy range.

Greetings friends. The nasty test is over and done. Nothing major found, but several minor things. I still do not have my head around all of them, but seems the addition of 2 more pills will fix me up. I hate pills!

AND once again, they could not do a complete colonoscopy, I will have to go for a barium enema in about 6 weeks, another YUCK test, to visulaize the part they could not get. The prep is not as bad, but that table, metal trough really, is horrid!

I came in today to find house hot as a tater, no one had turned on the AC unit or opened the doors and windows, just had AC blowing fan, not cooling. MEN! I see there is no danger of loosing my job, their ineptness grants me job security. BIL just said "OH, I never did change that dressing on his neck" Uh, what is wrong with NOW???

I had just got home when I got a call to schedule the BE, and the lady on phone asked, can someone stop by here to pick up your instruction sheet? WEll NO, it is not a stop by for us, to be gone that long I would have to get a sitter for my sick husband, can you just mail it to me. "We do not have that ability here". WHAT??? She tried to get my doc office on the phone to have them mail it to me, but no one would answer the phone for her. so it is not just me hehehe I can never get a real live person, just voice mail. She dictated it for me, I took notes I hope I can read later.

I think I will climb back in bed and pull the covers over my head, it has been that kind of day.

Heidi, I do hope your back got better as today went on. You are really having problems now. If I had a magic wand, you would be first for good healing wishes.

Theresa, the walking program sounds good, wish I could join you. I did so much better when I could walk daily. I would have to start with that 5 minutes at a time inside to build up endurance again. But with cooler weather, maybe i can get out and walk a bit.

Mama, hope the granddaughter and the bebe are doing well, they shall remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Brenda, what are you knitting? I saw the photo of the jumper you made earlier, really pretty pattern.

Heidi, I too am looking forward to seeing photos of the dress with peacock feathers, that will be something original. Nice "good deed" there. What is the occasion for the special dress??

Hugs to each of you, with extras all around. Till later.

Good Morning everyone!
MizT, could they have emailed you the instructions? I've never heard of anywhere that can't post something (or maybe that should be can't be bothered).
Overcast here today with rain due over the next few days. I was woken this morning by the rain - it was so heavy. I had to leave early to drop my car off for it's final service under warranty.
I can't believe I've owned it for nearly 3 years - where has that time gone?
Oh well, I must away and do some work - that's what I'm paid for anyway.
Have a great day all.

Heard from Suzanne. Her plane landed and she is safely in Tampa with her hubby and parents. Plane took off a few minutes late but no big deal. I won't see her this trip, but there is always next time.

Morning all,
I've read, but have to comment on MizT's post before I go back to try to remember what everyone else said... Alie had a barium enema and xrays when she was about 15 days old. It was cruel! I'm so sorry you need to have that done... will be thinking of you and sending soft, warm thoughts.

Packing... most of the packing was done before the house went on the market..
the boxes are stored at a friend place in their spare room.
So what is left.. the 'things' I had to leave out for 'Show House' selling are now packed and will not see the light of day for at least 12 months.
So what is left.. office, our bedroom, kitchen, Family Room.. and that has been sorted and decluttered previously...
Our Lounge Room Chairs are going to young Cousin down south, he and his wife could do with some noice chairs. If Boy had remained here in Perth, and not gone to Melb....
