Text from Dana:
Just wondering. What are the basic household bills, electricity, car stuff etc and what do they cost and how often do they have to be paid?

Hi Broni and Gail. No getting up to mischief you two!
Suzy, Maybe Dana is growing up and realisation is starting to set in.
Still going through old photos. Two more I would like to find! They were taken about 62/63 so could be anywhere.

I think it's a lot more simple that that, I think she had a fight with someone she's living with...

Good Evening, Everyone!

Gail, you had a long and eventful day! You must be exhausted! I hope Jed's surgery went well and his healing is quick and complete!

Gail, I understand the frequent blood work. Hubby's is now every 8 weeks. For a couple of years his hemoglobin continually ran low. He then needed injections to bring it up, but it has been years since he has needed them. Sometimes the seemingly slightest think can affect the values. We've learned, as you have, to go with the flow.

Tricia, it sounds like you have found the perfect safe place for Al's ring. You, your sister and Roger got a lot accomplished today. Just remember to take care of yourself! You missed a lot of sleep and must be exhausted.

Suzy, I'm glad you went to Alie's school to request notification of pertinent school events! Those are some important events, and you need advance notice to make plans. I don't understand why high schools feel they can rely on students to notify their parents of important scheduled events. It really doesn't seem to work.

Heidi, I'm sure Gunner is so cute to watch! And that's a great name for him! Thanks for sharing the pictures of Whimsey and Sere in one post. They're both gorgeous. It almost seems that their markings are similar, but the photos are quite small!

Brenda, I'm glad you had a cooler, breezy day, and a chance to rest up a bit while Susan stayed at home in case of a phone call about her daughter.

Heidi and MizT, thank you for the link to the funeral home.

Suzy, missed you by || that much.

Tami, a great TOPP for today! Thanks!

MizT, I also like Al's photo in the obituary! I also liked the idea of black robins, though the black ribbons make more sense, I guess!

Broni, I'm glad you had a safe trip to "Chez Cockatoo." Enjoy your visit and stay out of trouble!

Suzy, Dana still has a lot of growing up to do! At least she now has heard of bills, though apparently she doesn't realize they're monthly. I notice that she didn't mention rent. She has a lot to learn. Hopefully she will continue to have a place to live, especially after the baby comes.

Well, the hands of the clock just keep creeping and have passed midnight, so I need to call it a night. Thinking of everyone and sending along positive thoughts, , prayers and {{{{{HUGS}}}}}! I hope you all have a good afternoon/evening/night/morning, Everyone!

I'm waiting for a visitor who wants to see the puppies, and possibly buy one. She's late. (No pup leaves here before 8 weeks old.)

She purchased a puppy.... the male. I have no problem keeping the 3 females, so if I don't sell any of them, it won't bother me. Gunner won't leave here until New Year's Eve.

Oh well done on selling Gunner and for keeping him until he is old enough. Too many people let puppies leave when they are to young. I never doubted you would be one of the best and doing what is right for the pups. A new years eve date is lovely, a celebration gift for the coming year.
Suzy , please tell me Dana hasn't had a tattoo, in her condition she doesn't need anything which might give her an infection. Hope everything is going well with the pregnancy.
We are nearing the end of our holiday, today we are sorting Susan out to go to see her daughter in Ohio. We will have to take her to Fort Lauderdale airport this afternoon as she flies out at 4:30. Her daughter is in hospital and isn't very well at all so she needs to be there asap, plus the up coming Thanksgiving makes travelling more difficult as everyone wants to be somewhere else.
Hope the get together in Melbourne goes well, wish I could be there, but it will happen someday.
We will get a taxi to Miami airport tomorrow when we leave.

Getting ready to go to Alabama tomorrow. Cows and horses have plenty of hay and IH has instructions, made as simple as possible. I still need to wash my hair and pack. I'll be leaving here around 7 am.

BTW.... MizTricias internet connection is down today. That's why she hasn't been on here.

I have just been on the site for Al's obituary and didn't have a problem. It was free. Maybe you could copy and paste then remove the space between al and vin.

Safe travels Heidi and give Tricia an extra large hug from all of us.

Thanks all, I was finally able to get to the site and it was very easy...don't quite know what I was doing wrong, but am glad you all helped me to be able to sign the guest book..I too thought the picture was a great choice...it reflected my view of him from Tricia's stories very well.

Do all kids think that once we get past 30 our memory goes. I know I would remember something like being shown a Tattoo, even though my memory is bad.

Starting to pack cases for our return home. Flight leaves Miami at 7:15pm tomorrow (Sunday) and we should arrive in Heathrow at 9am Monday. It will take a couple of hours to get through customs and get home. Looking forward to my own bed, even though the one we have here is very comfortable.

I just had a nice phone convo with MizTricia. We're planning on having a good time celebrating Al's life and memory. I need to finish packing, fill all the bird waterers and feeders, and take a shower before getting a full night's sleep.

Hi, Good Friends! Gosh, it's already midnight! We went to a 40th anniversary party for friends tonight and didn't realize it was this late.

Heidi, I'm so pleased that Gunner will start the new year in his new home! Has anyone else expressed an interest in a puppy?

Thinking of tattoos, the daughter/hostess for the party tonight (about 34 or 35 years old and mother of three little ones) has a tattoo near her shoulder blade (visible in her party dress) that's about 3 inches by 3 inches. I remember when I was growing up how so many moms (mine included) were against piercing ears. They said we'd regret it and it would make us look "cheap." Young girls now have multiple piercings and not always their ear lobes. Some even have multiple tattoos. As far as I know, our D's do not have tattoos, thankfully. As far as I know, most states require a person to be 18 or have a written parent's permission to get a tattoo.

Brenda, thinking of Richard's cousin Susan and her D. Positive vibes for all to be well for them. Good luck getting the packing done and under weight limits! Have a safe trip home!

Heidi, you sound very organized and ready for your trip to AL. Please drive safely and give MizT lots of warm, gentle {{{{{HUGS}}}}} when you see her! Thank you for being our representative!

Gail and Broni, enjoy the Sudoku gathering. Our spirits will be divided between you and MizT!

Oh, Suzy, if Dana is visiting because she's bored, she needs to be given some things to do! She certainly won't be bored in a couple of months! I'm so sorry she talks your ear off, but maybe in all of her talking, you might hear an occasional bit of information that she wouldn't necessarily share with you - that just slipped out in her incessant chatter.

Rolanda, so sorry to hear the news about Oom Piet, may he rest in peace! Does your Mum know? I hope she's beginning to be comfortable in her new "abode." I hope you enjoy lunch with Boy#1 and his gal!
