Checking in now Suzy, we left about 30 minutes late as the flight in from London was delayed because of the fog. We eventually landed 10minutes early, but by the time we got through passport control and got the luggage it was nearly 10am. We had booked an executive limousine (posh taxi) before we went away so the driver was waiting for us. We had a good journey home and arrived at 10.45am. Trying not to go to sleep just yet as we will not sleep tonight if we do. Poor Richard has to go to work in the morning.

Welcome home Brenda. How is Susan's daughter doing?
My Dr. says take a mild sleeping tablet on the plane and then another the first night of your destination. It gets your body clock back to the time much quicker (though I still find I use the loo at odd times!)

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

I am off all week, but have a lot of krow to do at home. Today is errand day. Tomorrow, today down under, is Dylan's birthday. He is going to be 11. I can't believe how big he is getting. Tomorrow night we are taking him and some friends out for dinner to a pizza place. Both sets of grandparents will be joining us. Tonight we might meet a friend for dessert and start his celebration early.

Good Morning. Looks a bit damp outside and we have bowls today. I offered to be umpire so I do not have to play. I will take my Christmas cards again and should get most of them finished.
This is a busy week as I will then be out to lunch for the next three days.
Hope everything is going well for Tricia. It should be all over now.

Good mAen everyone!
Gloomy day here, weather wise. Had a clumsy morning. Cleaned out the drainboard (from dishes last night) and broke one of my favorite wine glasses. Glass only cost 25 cents at D.I. (thrift store)....THEN the stupid coffee pot (Cuisinart version of Keurig one-cup pot) decided it wasn't going to work!! ARRRGH! Got my $30 General Electric percolator (from Wal-Mart) and had my coffee.
OK, I feel better! Getting off the soapbox now!
Hope all is well for everyone!
Love & Hugs with EXTRAS!!

By the way, I told Darrell HE had to call Cuisinart about the coffeepot. We only bought it December last year. Fortunately, there is a 3 year limited warranty. So, it is being replaced...just have to pay to ship it back.

Hi all. Just stopping in for a minute. Been running errands all day. Had to get Dylan a new backpack. His broke but it was also under warranty. Brought it to store and walked out with a new one. Also took Dylan for his yearly check up. Thought he was getting shots but they are delaying until next year. He was happy about that. Doctor compared chart to Mitchell. Dylan is 6 inches taller than Mitchell was at same age. Mitchell may be the older brother but it looks like Dylan will be the "big" brother. Doctor agrees with that Meeting a friend of hubby's later for dessert. He wanted to see Dylan for his birthday but had plans for tomorrow so we are meeting tonight. Dylan gets to start celebrating the night before.

Dylan for your three day Birthday!!!
Hot, overcast and humid today but at least I am not cold and have the pool to jump in if it gets too muggy.
OK Girls Celabration time!
I was the only one called backed for a second interview and have got the job. Working for a bookkeeping firm (so variety with different customers/businesses) will be 3 to 4 days a week but will not really kicking off until after Chrissy which suits me fine.
Love and Hugs to all, especially MizT and Heidi.

Just got back from ice cream. Harley enjoyed his. Monday is doggie night. Doggies eat free when accompanied by a human. He gets a small cup of vanilla with a dog biscuit on top.

Just put my third batch of brownies in the oven. Hubby is having an office party tomorrow and my brownies were requested. I will cut them in the morning.

Afternoon all,
Had coffee with Dana today. Told her that it wasn't paying for the coffee that bothered me, it was asking me to do her a favour and offering coffee so long as I paid... She was going to pay today but I had a free coffee on my 'you drink too much coffee' card and she couldn't eftpos for just one ...

Tami, the packet mix you use would make it over here

Gail, fantastic news about Hannah! I'm so pleased for her. I'm also very glad Alie is talented artistically and musically because if she was relying on her results in other subjects to get her anywhere she'd be up the creek without a paddle. Don't get me wrong she's a smart girl, just no interest in anything that isn't musical or artistic.

Dylan! I hope he has a great multi-day birthday.

Your comments about going to be bigger than his older brother remind me of friends of mine. He is 6'4", she is 5'0". They have a boy and a girl and so far it looks like she is going to be tall and he is going to be short. It's early days yet, but...

June, it sprinkled last night and I didn't hear a thing during the night so was very surprised to wake up to big puddles in the yard! I hope your bowls umpiring wasn't too wet.

Broni, congratulations on your new job! It sounds like the kind of job that can lead to full time some day, though 3 or 4 days a week sounds better if it pays well.

HALO none and all.
Broni...great news....enjoy!
Suzy...Hang on girl.... one day this will be in the past...not sugar coating, but when the time comes, you will be able to enjoy many things that now seem impossible challenges.
Brenda, glad your trip home was uneventful.
Happy Birthday Dylan....have a blast as you continue to rise with the stars...
Tami...the brownies can hold up traveling to my hose...hint,hint

Suzanne...mnow that you have had your caffine fix, I hope you have a better, less clumsy day... no more broken stuff...lol.
See you folks later...do your best to make it a great day...peace.

Hello everybody. I am back and tired. I'm really glad i went to the visitation yesterday and the funeral today. MizTricia and her whole family are wonderful people. I made sure that I gave MizT a hug from each and every one of you.

My back was on it's best behavior the entire time. MizT offered me a bed to sleep on, but her couch was so easy on my back that I slept there instead. With a cat on my face all night. I'll fill everybody in on the details tomorrow. MizT's modem (only 2 months old) bit the dust. She's hoping to get a replacement tomorrow. She's having serious internet withdrawal symptoms.

Everybody!

I hope all those who attended the Melbourne Sudoku gathering arrived home safely and had a restful sleep!

I'm suspect Brenda and Richard were exhausted by the time they got home. Hopefully, you didn't suffer much jet lag, Brenda!

I hope there will be a positive post from Broni pn page 273! (I'm still reading page 272.) I think today was her second interview!

Gail, all indicators certainly seem to be positive for Hannah (unless "Sue" was flirting with you )! It's so reassuring that her artwork is better than what you saw on display! Keeping fingers, toes and everything else crossed for her! How many weeks do you think it will be before she is notified?

I have been thinking of MIzT today and of the celebration of Al's life! {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, Tricia!

Heidi, I hope you have had a safe trip home! I hope you can sleep in tomorrow morning and get lots of rest for your back. I don't imagine the driving was good for it.

I've turned the page and see that Brenda is, indeed, home again. I hope you sleep REALLY WELL tonight, and Richard, too! Hopefully he doesn't have any big important meetings tomorrow!

June, I hadn't heard that advice for the mild sleeping tablet on the plane and another your first night home. Does it work for you? I find that I get very little, if any, sleep on flights between the U.S. and Europe - just can't get comfortable. I'm sure there's some trick to it, but I haven't flown enough to know what it is.

Tami, enjoy your week away from school! I hope you get lots of ffuts done! Happy Birthday tomorrow, Dylan! Here are 2 cakes, 1 for tonight and one for tomorrow !

June, I hope you were able to finish your Christmas cards today at bowls without getting too damp! Enjoy the upcoming lunches with friends!

Suzanne, what a shame that your favorite wine glass broke, followed by your coffee maker! I'm glad Darrell called to get a replacement! Free is good, but such aggravation to send back the defective one!

Tami, I'm glad Dylan's backpack was replaced! Can you convince him that it's part of his birthday present? Good news that he didn't need shots at his yearly checkup! I bet he's excited that it looks like he may be taller than Mitchell!

Broni, what wonderful news that you got the job! There should be some variety at the bookkeeping firm! I imagine you will enjoy the customer contact - and how nice that it will start out as 3-4 days per week. I hope it will be as perfect as it sounds! Congratulations! You go, Girl!

Happy Birthday, , Dylan! I hope you get cake or maybe brownies on your actual birthday, though the ice cream tonight sounds like fun! What a great place to give a cup of ice cream topped by a dog biscuit to dogs! That's a nice promotion!

Tami, please remind us again of the brownie mix you use - and any secrets ingredients that improve upon it ! Thanks!

Good to see you, Mama! Hope all is well!

Hurray! Heidi made it home safely! I'm so glad to hear that your back didn't bother you tremendously so that you could do all of that hugging! Heidi, it was so good knowing that you were with Tricia and representing all of us! Thank you so much!

Dylan, hope you have/had a great time.
I can attest to how good Tami's brownies are, she brought a batch with her when she came to
Susan's house. I even think they were better than the one's she gave me two years ago (bragging a little that I have had two lots of brownies )
Congratulations Broni, I hope you enjoy your new job when it starts in the new year and that you are richly rewarded every month for your time and expertise.

Both Richard and I suffered from cramp in our right legs last night, so we are both hobbling a little. We slept well but are still tired. The weather here isn't helping, it is dark, foggy and wet. I've got the unpacking to do and sorting the house out and go shopping for food today.
We are not sure what is happening with Susan's daughter yet as she was having a biopsy yesterday.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Mamacita, I will bake brownies for you the next time you come visit your son. I will not ship them to you. YOU must come here for them.

Suzy, I would gladly send you a box of mix but without my special brownie pan it wouldn't matter.

Cyn, I am the same way with a book. I force myself to put it down for a few minutes. That is one reason I don't read during the school year. Get so involved in book I forget to grade papers. I will read the books the boys have to so I can talk to them about it and make sure they understand the book.

I use either Duncan Hines, Betty Crocker, Ghirardelli or Pillsbury brownie mix. Hope that helps.
