And Nola!!! I've missed you too!! My stars said it would be a good day. So glad to hear about Judy. As June says, many people beat the disease nowadays, I'm glad Judy is one of them. I was hoping that reduced stress knowing the cyst is benign might have helped Greg. I'm sorry to hear it isn't. Someone posted one time that people with severe migraines are being helped by meditation and breathing. Maybe new age is going to be the way he's going to have to go...

June, your harbour cruise sounds wonderful!

Sorry to hear about the foal. I hope they were able to do something for him. Please let us know.

Watch out meeting these axe murderers! They could be as evil as the rest of us...

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Nola, good to see you posting again. Glad you like the coffee and I would love to make you a real pot, if we ever get a chance to meet in person.

Theresa, glad you got a chance to post and let us know you are ok. Hope the dog is ok. That can be scary.

Hi to every one else I did not mention by name.

The three boys are playing video games. We had one neighbor for a sleepover. He is a very well behaved kid. Dad is strict and we are one of the only non-relatives that he trusts. I feel the same about him. Good neighbor to have.

MIL has been taken to hospital to have pacemaker put in (as we speak). She was taken last night by ambulance after a fall. Hubby is leaving shortly to go see her (an hour and a half drive minimum).

Dakota was kept overnight at the animal hospital. She has a huge cut on her tongue and we have no idea how that happened. Vet thinks she might have an infection and want to keep her for observation.

It took my SIL until 3:00 AM to clean all the blood at their place. I was thinking if the police had come to the door while I was babysitting, it would have looked like there had been a massacre.

I think this weekend we will be at MIL's place and move her bedroom downstairs. It is obvious she can no longer make the stairs. Heavens, when did life get so hectic????

D is doing a lot better. She is making the stairs again.

Woke up to a blanket of snow. Freezing rain predicted for this afternoon. I was really surprised the school busses weren't cancelled this morning.

Off to have a coffee. Take care all.

Theresa.... glad to hear that Dakota will be OK. I've been through the blood everywhere bit with Cole. Woolite Oxy cleans up blood quickly and easily.

I thought it was appropriate for the turkey to be the star of the Thanksgiving show.

Tami, still no definite news about Susan's daughter. She had a biopsy taken from her liver on Monday. Results should be back soon. She has had a load of other scans etc of the pelvic region nothing nasty showed up there. They may let her out of hospital for Thanksgiving. Susan is worried sick about her. Megan has an 18mth old daughter who is missing her mum and is very fretful. Need everyone to keep fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Brenda, I will be keeping both of them in my thoughts. At 18 months, the daughter is too young to understand why mommy is not there. I hope Megan gets better soon.

MIL's heart stopped this AM for a short while - she is now disoriented and confused. As soon as my son-in-law gets home from work, he and D will go visit her. I will stay with the grandies.

You're right Brenda, enough already. 2011, we've had it with you!!!

I agree. 2011 can't end to soon. I am hoping 2012 is a better year for all my sudoku family.

Theresa, keeping D's MIL in my thoughts. I hope the grandies behave for you tonight.

Sending SA vibes to Susan, Theresa's MIL and even Dakota. Big cyber hugs on their way to Susan's daughter...

2011 has had a lot of bad stuff happen, but it hasn't been all bad. Nola finished her nursing course, Dylan and Mitchell have accomplished some amazing things, Alie did some great stuff too, Hannah finished school and it looks like she has got in to the tertiary course of her choice, an amazing foal was born, and puppies, several wonderful holidays have been had, Broni got a job, and that's just what I can think of now. I'm sure there's lots more. Let's not forget them!!

I agree that 2011 hasn't been the best year for a lot of us but my hopes are that 2012 will be a year of good news and achievements for us all here on SA.
One thing we do know is that we will have an SA grandchild in 2012 - and Suzy, despite everything, I hope you get as much joy out of her as those of us here who are already grandparents have done.
I would put down being a Grandmother as my finest and proudest achievement!

June - enoy your meeting with Vicki and Amelia - both great ladies!
Nola - nice to see you here, great news about Judy, hope Greg's headaches can be sorted.
Theresa - not good news about your MIL, Hope the pacemaker op goes well.
There was more to say but it's slipped my mind.

Rolanda, you got the idea and I should have included those things in my list..

Have I got the right date? Is it Turkey day today?

Cyn, I'm gradually coming around. It took a while but I'm getting there. By the time the baby comes I'm sure I'll be all the way there and a doting grandmother.

Cheeking in without reading to let you know I have internet connection, yeah! My computer decided to quit, I am on Al's computer in living room, sitting at a makeshift table and keyboard, making typos every other word hehehe.

Thank you to each of you who sent cards and messages, they mean a lot to me! Many thanks to Heidi for being here. We did enjoy our meeting, and she did give a hug from each of you, individually and named, while we were standing in the restaurant after the service.

Al would have been proud of the send off we gave him, and he has an aisle seat for his resting place, the last grave site on a row, next to a walkaway. The cemetery is beautiful, neat in it's military precision. A friends daughter made photos of the flag ceremony and playing of taps and brought them to me today.

It is good to be back on the internet, but most uncomfortable to sit here. I shall start reading from here, later, and try to catch up with the posts I missed later.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Yeah Suzy, it sneaks up on you. I was surprised at how much I felt for Lachlan (our first) when he arrived. And what simple joy he could bring - just by seeing him smile in recognition..... oh, I could go on but you'll understand.
I'm so pleased that you're coming around to it. I'd give you a big hug if we were together.

Good Morning.
Tricia, so glad you have your internet, we missed you.
June, sure you will have a great chin wag with Vicki and Amelia.
Theresa, hope your D's MIL improves.
Cooler day here until the sun breaks through the clouds, then will be hot and humid. Queensland has had a ton of rain but here on the coast my poor garden is begging for water.
Thinking of you all.

Glad that you're back with us, MizT. It seems that there was a mechanical conspiracy to keep you off line.... first the modem, then your computer.
I really wish our meeting could have been under better circumstances. It amazes me that every Sudoku friend I've met feels like a life-long best friend. I felt so comfortable around you, Tanya, Joy, Roger, and the rest.

I just finished baking the pumpkin pie for tomorrow. The 13 lb turkey is defrosting in the fridge, and most of the fixings are ready to be cooked. I'll be serving turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh broccoli, cranberry salad and pumpkin pie with whipped cream. As well as non-alcoholic bubbly.
