IH had been left very few things to do, and since the puppies survived, he did them.

Tami...You are on....I will give you plenty of notice when I plan on coming to Florida again...and will be ready for those brownies...
Heidi...seems as if I remember you sleeping on a couch in Florida too...you do seem to enjoy them! Glad you had a safe trip and wasn't annoyed with back problems after all of the driving. Animals just seem to know who they can warm up to and they let the world know that you were okay....Thanks for being our rep and delivering our hugs...looking forward to seeing MizT back online as soon as possible.
Hi and bye to everyone for now...Peace.

Just met my neighbor's new puppy, a 10 week old chocolate lab named Barpal. He is being raised to be a seeing-eye dog and they will only have him for a year or so. He was named after the vet that donated money for the puppy. The girl in charge of Barpal is 13 and wants to be a vet so this should be good training for her also.

Good Morning my friends.
Day at home today, don't have to go anywhere, lots to do around here but my cous Maz is coming over so a good excuse to not swear.

Yeah, Mama, I did sleep on the couch in Florida, too. They both happened to be easy on my back. In the case of MizT's, I never bothered to try out the bed once I realized that the couch was so comfy on the back. I'm not fussy. I'll sleep anywhere as long as the back feels good.

Can someone tell me who Desmond Johnson is? He sent me a friend request on the other site and I don't recognize the name. We have 8 mutual friends, all from Sudoku. I am guessing he uses a nickname on here.

Afternoon all,
Missed the morning by 5 minutes! Drat.

Heidi, glad your back is in good condition, and that the puppies survived.

Tami, tell us your secret ingredients, we won't tell anyone and so they'll still be secret from some people Next door have labs and you know how they aren't supposed to bark, well they do!!! To be a vet out here you need to get almost perfect scores in your HSC and then do the hardest course the university offers... very few are good enough. To be a vet nurse you can drop out of school and do a one year TAFE course. There aren't many jobs available though.

Broni, when do you start at the new job or have you started already??

I will lost his if I go back to see what I forgot..

My news. Remember me grumping and groaning because Dana defaulted on her phone contract so we were having to pay for it as it was in hubby's name? Then remember me grumping and groaning because she was coming over showing off the great new phone she got on a contract that she was able to get because the one she defaulted on was in hubby's name and I was using a cheap throwaway phone? Well the contract on her old phone has expired!!!! We are $70 a month richer!!!!

Tami - no Des is not a Sudoku person. I worked with him for 20 years and his wife Linda (funniest person I ever met) plays all the games under several different names, including Des who probably wouldn't know how to turn a pooter on. Maybe you play a game that she needs neighbours for. She (under many of her guises) is friends with a lot of the Sudoku people. Just don't accept it if you don't want to, she won't turn a hair.

Suzy... no matter what, do NOT bail Dana out of this contract. She will never learn responsibility if she doesn't learn that signing a contract is a commitment. You will also give her a clean credit rating allowing her to sign contracts for more things.

I have about 7 pages to read. Our internet has been down.

Right now I am at D's place - they have brought their black lab to the animal hospital in Ottawa (about a 40 minute trip one way). She had blood dripping out of her mouth. There is a lot of blood on the kitchen and living room floors, stairs, upstairs hallway, the master bedroom. I have a really weak stomach and just cannot pick it up. Their dog (Dakota) is almost 12 years old.

Off to do some reading ...

Hello, Everyone! I hope you are having/have had a good day/afternoon/evening/night!

Tami, thanks SO much for the specific instructions for making your special brownies! I can't wait to try them! (Actually, hubby probably won't mind too much if I make 1 batch of each brand of brownies. I'll let him do a taste test! Of course, I still won't know your secret ingredients, but at least I'll know which brand he prefers!)

Thanks for the TOPP quotes, Tami! (BTW, I really didn't expect you'd be able to convince Dylan that the replacement backpack was part of his birthday present.)

Heidi, I'm so glad you were able to sleep in - AND that IH was at least able to take care of the puppies and see to it that they survived! Does he like them well enough that he might have held and petted them? Thanks again for being our representative to Tricia!

Tami, good for your young neighbor - both that she is willing to put in the caring, time and training to raise a puppy to be a seeing-eye dog!

Woo Hoo, Broni! Your cousin chose a great day to come for a visit so you wouldn't need to swear! Swearing can always be put off until a later date!

Heidi, the puppies sound so cute! Will you be taking pictures soon? I'm sure we'd all love to see them!

Suzy, I guess it's better that you now know how Dana got her new fancy phone. I hope she will be able to fulfill her part of the contract. (BTW, I hope I wasn't out of line the other day when I got up on my soapbox during the discussion about coffee!)

Theresa, we have missed you! It's no fun when the internet goes down. No worries about getting caught up - just read a few extra comments a day if you're motivated. Otherwise, ask questions about anything that doesn't make sense! I'm so sorry to hear about your D and SIL's dog Dakota. That doesn't sound very good, and I think 12 years is a good run for a lab.

Thinking of everyone, whether I've mentioned you or not! Sending , positive thoughts and vibes, prayers and {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} for everyone!

Just about 11:30 p.m. here and will try to get to bed soon. I have some aches that will hopefully disappear overnight!

Extra hugs for MizT! So sorry you've been left without access to the internet!

Hello everyone.
I feel so terrible being away for so long...and my problems aren't as bad as others.
Firstly. My sincere condolences Tricia on the passing of AL. What a tower of strength you have been in nursing him at home until the end. This takes a marathon effort on your behalf in spite of your own health problems.I really hope you are able to piece your life together again and that your Sudoku site here, that you instigated,is a tower of strength to you.
RIP Al.

Heidi..You are truly appreciated in being there for Tricia. Thank You.
Rolanda...hope Mum is going OK..have not read a few pages in between since Al passed, just a few comments before work and not the whole page.
Nice to hear Broni, that you had a great time in Melb.with Gail, and forgive me for not remembering who else attended.
Suzi..hang in there.Dana will always need you, she just does not know or appreciate that just yet.Says she, that is always a softie.
Dana will come to appreciate your help once she matures and loves her baby. She will realize a mothers love.If this doesn't eventuate after her baby,(it may never happen) your actions will show her how much she was loved by you.
June...thinking of you.
Theresa...how is your Daughter and post op achievement going? Hope the Grandies are doing well and you are coping with your health probs.
Cyn...it was unforgivable of your DIL to try and twist a comment to segregate your affection to your grandie. She must be very insecure and nasty to hurt her daughter.
Heidi...hope your health is OK.Back probs, and all your animals make it impossible to get a proper rest. Lovely to hear that you have some healthy puppies with one taken already.
So glad you were able to be with Tricia at the funeral.

We were on a Harbour cruise today with people Ken worked with for many years. A wet day but plenty of people to talk with and some nice food.
Tomorrow I am meeting up with Victoria and Amelia. I have not met either of them before.
Belinda's new foal has hurt his shoulder or something. He is in the University Vet Hospital for Xrays etc. That will cost a few Thousand dollars even if they cannot do anything. We cannot take a trick this year.

Just a few words about myself.
I am having a few work issues and finding another job is not what I really wanted to do. It is taking a toll on me mentally and loyalty wise.
Judy's cancer has all gone again after 3 out of 8 treatments prescribed. She has completed 7 treatments of chemo now.She is so very lucky that it does work for some.
Greg has another MRI tomorrow for the brain cyst just to rule out no further development or other problem to cause headaches. We both have the day off,as last time he became claustrophobic,so this time he will have an anesthetic and I have to drive him home.
Forgive me for not mentioning you all personally, but I do think of you all.

Theresa!!!! I've missed you! I hope the doggy is okay with not too big a hole in your D's wallet. How is your shoulder? I hope you are feeling some relief. I meant to tell you that I can crochet a little bit even though I can't knit. I hope you get to drop in again soon.
