My well-fed puppies are about to have their brekkies, then I need to finish wrapping pressies for relatives and ship them off today. The drive to town should be interesting. We're having freezing rain, tho' the meteorologists say that we're having light flurries.

Heidi, do be careful today on the icy roads. Hope you have an uneventful trip to town.

I refuse to go out until the roads are safe. I'd rather have the presents arrive late than to be hospitalized and unable to care for the puppies, birds and all the rest.

I just stepped outside to check the roads. I'm not going anywhere. It was sleeting nicely.

I think we are just a bit busy to be here.
The massage yesterday was fantastic. First my feet (a soak and a scrub and rub), then oil massaged into my body and I was wrapped up while the oil penetrated, then in to a hot spa for 15 minutes and then a body massage. The whole treatment was 2 hours. I felt very relaxed for the rest of the day and night.
Had a good time at the Christmas party and even won a half ham in our big yearly raffle. Every member gets $25 worth of tickets to sell with 30 hams, hampers, dinner vouchers (total 46 prises). I must say that between us Ken and I had bought more tickets than the value of the ham! But if we do not support the fund raising we will not have a club. Then most people put in that money and did not get a prize!

Laura's father was supposed to be dropping Laura here sometime this morning. He never showed up, nor did he phone. I am not very happy as I have been waiting around all day and if I had known there were other things I could have got done!

IH arrived home last night, quite tired, and went to bed a couple of hours later. By the time I got up this morning (sunny and dry, btw) he had left for the day to give a talk in Indiana. So besides the puppies screaming for their brekkies, it's peaceful here yet again.

I started on wrapping the last gifts yesterday, but my back screamed so about it that I had to quit and lie down for about 6 hours. The pain was so bad that I thought I was going to black out. So I have to finish the job today and get them sent off.

Heidi, how bout gift bags, instead of wraping? Not sure how those would pack to mail, but sure would be easier on the back. I do understand, have had to stop my wrapping to keep back from talking to me, never for 6 hours, and never to point of passing out, but I can understand how it can get that bad that quickly.

Today is Christmas, well, fore you panic, Christmas party, the best part of the hooidays for me. Will get to meet nephews wife for first time, they have been married over a year. Will get to meet Miranda, a niece's baby. Both these from the Georgia connections.

I must be off and get breakfast, dressed and steam broccoli, and be away in an hour and half. I will not be back till Sunday, day after tomorrow. Everyone behave yourself till I return.

I have a day of running errands with hubby. Shouldn't take more than a few hours. Beastie boys are staying home to clean their rooms. They are both a mess.

I tried to wrap presents again, and the back started screaming. Then I realized that I had forgotten to take my methadone this morning, So I'm sitting here waiting for it to kick in. What fun. I'm not enjoying this.

Hi Happy Saturday everyone......getting ready to use the hot swishy thing and the smaller hot sliddy thing for awhile then need to do some church stuff...All is well here hope the same can be said where you are...Peace and good tidings to all. Safe travel to those running about or going to different gatherings...Have fun but stay safe!

Errands done. Harley has had a good run at the dog park and a bath. Dinner is ready to be flung. My family is coming tomorrow to celebrate Chanukah. It is the easiest day to have all of us in the same house without a rush. My brother owns a jewelry store and it is busy this time of year

I got nothing done today. The back was still on the warpath, despite the meds.

First time ever I am not sending cards interstate.
Too busy, too sick etc. etc.
Learning to drive a laptop here as the computer is in for repair the second time this year.
NOT HAPPY JAN !!!
Then the laptop was a dud so had to take that back and get another one.
I am about to log an Avon order which will arrive to me on Thursday. I will be busy delivering Friday and Saturday.
A taxi clipped my right rear bumper and broke the tail light on the car, he just kept driving.

Hope to return later when I have finished logging this order to have a bit of a read back.

V Viv.... if you didn't have bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all.

No more gigs for 4 days!! Hopefully that means I will be able to catch up in here tomorrow, or the day after... turns out when there aren't gigs there are still boyfriends and shopping and cleaning and shopping...

(There is a chance, budget depending, that hubby and I will be down south in a couple of weeks....)

The puppies are getting the idea of housebreaking already. This morning, I took them outside as soon as I got up, and they all immediately did their business. Now they're all happily playing here in the study, accident free.

I wish housebreaking kids was as easy

We have had a few accidents, even tho' they've been out a few times. They're only 6 weeks old and can't hold it yet.

The Christmas pudding is cooking. I was hoping I would have Laura when I was making it so she could help me 'stir'.
A lot of controversy here with my sis/inlaw. It was my turn to have Christmas last year and she hijacked it and Sharon was so upset and I promised her I would not let it happen again this year. Now Sis/L refuses to come here, then phones and asks won't I go to her daughter's place. When I said they were supposed to come here I got accused of wanting to spoil her grand daughters Christmas, No thought that she had ruined Christmas for us, especially Laura. Then she rang yesterday and blamed us because her mother was sick worrying about what we were doing Christmas day. It completely unhinged me and all the pent up emotion I have been controlling over the last 6 months meant I keep breaking into tears. She has always been a b*tch to me and her Mother acknowledges that fact.
There will be 6 (instead of about 15)of us here for Christmas lunch and then we will take Laura and join my son and family till the New Year.

June.... it's FAR better to be surrounded by those you love on Christmas, and fewer people, than to spend the holidays stressed by the company you're with. Please avoid Sis/L psychopathic need to control you and make it look like you're the bad guy.

We had a lovey Christmas Day yesterday, 5 for Christmas Lunch with the Melbournian one on Skype.
After everyone had gone, P & I went to visit with Mum in the Hospital.
Dinner tonight ~ leftovers.

I have a busy day in front of me today.

Finish writing those 'Xcards' and get them Posted.
The car has had a recall on something or rather, so taking the Car in the PM to the Car Yard and waiting while it gets replaced
(should take a couple of hours.. will go with a book to read)
What I really want to do is go back to Bed and zzzz a wee bit longer..
