I'm heading down to check our PO box in the suburb where we used to live, 20 mins away. Kept it open because Mum's mail was all sent there. Once I can persuade the bank, hopefully on my 3rd attempt today, to change our address for statements, we'll finally be able to close the PO box. WooHoo!
Then I've got the last of the Christmas shopping to complete and we're done.

Col took Lachlan with him in the truck today. They're off to Hervey Bay about 3.5-4 hours north of Brisbane. Now he's a teenager he's a sarcastic little sod. I phoned before and he answered Col's phone, when I asked if Col was there he said 'no, I've been kidnapped by some random stranger, Poppy got left way back' (not really funny, Lach!!). At least they sound like they're having a great time and having company makes the day go faster for Col.

When I said 'not really funny' - it wasn't because they would have driven past the exact spot where Daniel Morcombe was taken 8years ago last week when he was Lachlan's age.

Mamacita, right now Mitchell is lucky he is alive. He had such a major attitude last week I was ready to kill him. He is a teenage, alright. I hope I survive his teenage years. I think I feel my hair turning grayer by the minute.

Just briefly before I go, we are going to do a gail today and after that we are going to Hannah's EX-school because they are having an exhibition of senior students art (might actually include all years art). Even though we have seen it several times, it was on display last Thursday night at the Valedictory dinner, it is always special to see her work in a exhibit.
Her work has also been accepted by a gallery not so far from here for display as of next year. The woman who rang was most enthusiastic in her message.

Hi, All!

Just popping in quickly for a quick read, but not much in the way of comments. Could anyone loan me an extra hour or two a day for the next week?

Happy Birthday , Suzy! Have a wonderful day and maybe even a bite of cake ! Do Dana is planning her own baby shower? My guess is that you won't just be expected to provide the venue, but also all of the preparation and work.

Happy Birthday , Mitchell! I hope your day is special and you celebrate with a big brownie/cake !

Rolanda, thinking of your Mum! {{{{{HUGS}}}}}!

Theresa, thinking of your MIL, your D, and your hubby's and SIL's work situations. Hopefully there have been no more layoffs! Sending positive thoughts and {{{{{HUGS}}}}}!

Heidi, you deserve far more than one day off, but be sure to at least give yourself that much! Rest, enjoy Sandy's company, and feel better soon!

June, I hope the party at the bowls club was a rousing success!

Gail, that's wonderful that Hannah's art will be hung in a gallery! What a coup!

MizT, I hope the doctor appointment is helpful! Loved thinking about your hops being better!

Cyn, a clever comment, but not much appreciated. Boys!

Sorry, folks, but I'm fading fast! , positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers and {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} for all! And to all, a good night!

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Julie, I understand about being too tired to comment but thank you for stopping in and saying hello.

Heidi, enjoy your day of rest.

Gail, enjoy the gail and the art exhibit. I know you are a proud mum. Are there any pictures of her work? I don't remember seeing any or did I just miss them?

Tricia, hope all goes well at the doctor and that the hips are better.

Hello to anyone else I may have missed. It is too early here for me to think clearly.

Evening all,
Thank you so much for all of the wonderful birthday wishes! It means so much, as you all know...

Cyn and Tami, got the teenage attitude going here too, except when she wants something... Hope yours improves.

Mitchell, hope it's a great one!

Vicki, loved your topps...

Gail, congratulations to Hannah! And you, I'm sure you haven't come down yet yourself. That is such fantastic news. Even though they can be total pains, it really feels good when they are good at something they love to do!

Julie, wish I could give you more hours...

I've had a really sucky birthday. The ratio is still up on good ones though...

Lachlan came home with Colin and is staying the night and lining up for a second day in the truck. Really enjoyed himself, he and Col are two peas in a pod and have had me laughing all evening! (love it!)
We made the Christmas cakes tonight, each having our turn stirring for good luck. They are now cooked and smell delicious. One big one for visitors, the smaller one for Col and I - can't wait!! I always used to make a second one and give it to our driver Will (when we owned the truck) as part of his Christmas bonus. Now we have it ourselves. Will doesn't know or he'd be on my doorstep for some, hehe.

Happy Birthday to Mitchell & Suzy!! Hope you both enjoy your special day!
FINALLY got some good sleep last night. Air quality out here has been TERRIBLE! Looked like downtown Los Angeles with all the smog. Couldn't even see the mountains around my house!!! My allergies have been manageable, but my eyes are very itchy. Not much else happening here, have a great day/night everyone. Love, hugs & healing vibes to those in need. TTFN

By the sound of things there are some talented children in our group. Alie as a singer and now Hannah as an artist and having her work in a gallery. Both sets of parents should be proud.
Oh Suzy sorry to hear your birthday 'sucked' Wish I was closer and them maybe we could have painted the town red..... well maybe pink as staying power at my age has gone.
Good to hear that Dana has found some work even though it is only temporary.
I think my son and I are going to go out to dinner tonight. Richard is going to his works party, Elaine is taking one of the dogs to a party at one of the Agility clubs she attends (the other dog went to one last week.

Had a good day yesterday. Lost the bowls right at the end. The opposing skip is district champion. We played 25 ends and we were well in front until 22 end so was a good game. Nice lunch with ham, turkey and some yummy salads, the 'plum' pudding that I made then some Carols and our skit. "My Old Man's a Dustman. We danced around and produced the appropriate characters at the right time (played the Lonnie Donegan version). I have put a couple of photos on my page.

I'm off to our Cattlemen's Christmas dinner in an hour and a half. IH won't be going. He's off to pay that overdue mortgage for his plant.
Tomorrow morning, the puppies go to the Vet Clinic for their first shots. It's hard to believe that they're that old already.

Good morning everyone. :)
Going "to Town" in a little while - haven't done that lately - we mostly go to the big shopping centres round here, but we have to sort out Mum's financial options so we're heading to the city. Meeting up with my sister and might get a bit of Christmas-shopping done as well. It's supposed to be summer, but it's still quite cold ...
Hope you all have a lovely day. :)

Hi all. Just back from meeting my parents for dinner. We went for pizza for Mitchell's birthday. My parent's got him an electric razor. My dad always wanted to buy him his first razor and he will need it soon. He has a little mustache and some fuzz on his chin Have to type some work for Dylan. See you all in the morning.

I'm back from the Cattlemen's meeting and Christmas dinner. IH couldn't be bothered to come. He decided to drive to the plant this afternoon instead of tomorrow morning. So of course, when it was time to announce the annual award winners, IH won the President's Leadership Award. A beautiful jacket with the club's name embroidered on it. I had to go up and receive it and get my picture taken for the paper. I (jokingly) grumbled that IH was never going to see that jacket since he didn't see fit to come.

Good Night friends. I do think my hips are better after injection today. It took a while for them to get over the trauma of being stuck. I will know for sure once I go to bed, a good nights sleep would mean success to me.

Lovely drive cross country today about 25 mile trip and over half of it on a road I have not traveled in years, something new to see. Lovely pastures and woods, sunny day, past ponds and small lakes, sum gleaming on the water, just a all round nice day.

The doc's visit was not fun. X rays, and hard metal table and me left lying on sore hip while the tech goes to develop film, then see is they needed retaking. Of course they did. " there are not as clear as we would like". I do wonder if at their main office if X rays are digital, instant look-see if they are what is needed, no waiting around for developing. Then the doc comes to examine hips, pokes and prods till I cry out. OH, I found the spot hug?? Yep, doc, you sure did!

I must phone back tomorrow, a new medicine he prescribed is not in the formulary of my insurance, and I cannot afford to pay for it. It is something that i can take, cause I cannot take anti inflammatory drugs to treat arthritis, so it is possible we can challenge and they would pay, IF the doc is willing to have his office do the paperwork. I will ask tomorrow.

Falling asleep here, correcting more than i type, must be time for bed. I did read the post, thought of you, perhaps tomorrow i an catch up on comments.

Hugs to each of you with extras.

Just a quick visit to say Hello, read quickly and say a thing or two. Please forgive me for abbreviated comments. I really shouldn't even be here, and may not be for the next couple of weeks. No one has offered to donate an hour from their day, so I'm barely getting by.

I hope the birthday girl (Suzy) and birthday boy (Mitchell) each had an outstanding day!

June, sounds like a good "fight" nearly to the end! Pictures are great! I bet you were all a hit!

Cyn, so nice that Col and Lachlan are having bonding time!

Suzy, good for Dana for getting a job - even if it's only temporary!

Heidi, so glad the Cattlemen's Dinner was a success. Too bad IH had other things to do! You might know he's receive an award!

MizT, a tough day, but hopefully well worth it! I hope your hips are better tonight and tomorrow - and long term!

Broni, I'm sure the holiday dinner will be wonderful! I hope you can relax and enjoy!

I really must head to bed! Positive thoughts and prayers, and {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}! Good NIght!
