Broni

It's so nice and quiet here this morning, hubby and son left early for the GP (son picks hubby up then they train it in to the city), Beth left early for work, and Hannah is still in bed. The only noise at the moment is the dryer in the next room, and the clacking of my fingers on this keyboard! This morning I have managed to go through several baskets of clean hsaw that have been squirreled away whilst doing the kitchen...who knew we had so many undies and socks?!
Today I plan on tackling my wardrobe that has got completely out of hand lately, for reasons that escape me, but it seems to me that I cannot need a full wardrobe plus several unsorted baskets of clothes, when I have been only wearing a rotation of about 1/2 dozen skirts, a dozen or so tops of various kinds (singlets, t-shirts etc) and three pairs of leggings! Time for a massive clean out methinks.

Weekend coming up. Joy and I are planning lunch out tomorrow. I hope the BBQ shack I remember is still open, it has the best BBQ, was in the top 10 best in Birmingham, and it is a long way from that city. It has to be good to capture their attention from that distance. Name is Tin Top, and it is not too far from here. We have not gone out to eat this year! We were going out Christmas Eve, but could not find anything staying open for dinner, Joy brought down take out

Tricia, if this is the right restaurant, here is the number 668-1409. It said they won "best ribs in BBQ in Birmingham. It did not give the area code but you probably know that.

Made 4 small Family Size ones (also in the freezer) : [1 normal size family quiche made into 2 small family size ~ doubled the ingredients to make 4]

Anecdote of the day: I finally got to have coffee with my coffee friends - feels like it has been forever! One of them gave me flowers to cheer me up and they all gave me hugs. One of the topics that came up was Dana's mess. I said that since I'd left a note when I left early to work on the coffee van - pick up your rubbish from the floor eewww! - she now kept it all on her table. Tell her to clean it up they said. I told them it's like magic though - I ask for help, Natahlia starts fussing... Anyway I came home and asked her to clear the little table she is using beside her chair - all of a sudden Natahlia needed feeding!! I didn't hear a whimper!!! It's magic!

Hi all, wet here. I decided to go to the pictures and saw "The Artist" I enjoyed it until he set some old film alight which resulted in a small fire. That old film (made out of nitrocellulose) was highly combustible and the whole scene was so false it really spoilt the film for me.
Anyway it was nice to go and and relax.
Suzy, Hope things sort out with babies appearing to conveniently needing attention.

Greetings, one and all!

Brenda, thanks for your high tea definition!

June, how nice that you could enjoy the Picasso exhibit with your sister!

Suzy, thinking of your Mum and hoping she has someone with her - or dropping by on a regular basis for company and health watch! Sounds like Natahlia is doing what babies do. I hope being on opposite sides of the house is making it easier for you to sleep!

MizT, your sorting and sifting of things will be a big help when the time comes for you to move. Just remember to take it easy! It's a difficult procedure, but can help with the transition.

Rolanda, thinking of you and your siblings as you do the sort and clean routine as well. Have goals, but don't beat yourselves up if you don't reach them as quickly as you'd like.

Heidi, I hope you will soon be feeling better!

I must agree with many/most of you. I much prefer having something over me as I sleep, if it's only a light sheet.

Nice segue/TOPP, Tami! In case your Mom doesn't read comments on a regular basis, please let her know that we're thinking of her and wish her a wonderfully fantastic day for her birthday! Happy Birthday, Bobbi! Enjoy your special day!

Broni, fingers crossed! Toes, too! I hope it's not too late. It's time for things to go well, I hope!

Rolanda, you got much accomplished with your quiche-making. Sounds yummy! I wish there were some in my freezer!

Heidi, time for the rain to stop and for you to feel better!

All of you feeding the sloshy thing are reminding me of what I should have done today, but need to do tomorrow!

Suzy, perhaps Dana is psychic and just knows when Natahlia needs feeding or something else to conveniently prevent her from doing what you've asked.

It's closing in on 1 a.m. and I need to get up and to an acupuncture appointment in the morning. Time to call it a night. Lots of {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, , positive thoughts, healing vibes, and prayers for all who have posted recently, as well as those we haven't heard from in a while. Thinking of all of you!

Well they spent over an hour on the boat, looked in every nook and cranny, took heaps of photos and hope they are interested. Getting to me trying to upkeep the boat and the house. Need to send an email with further details...really hope they are not tyre kickers. Weather is still rainy so no more work on the boat yet.
Spent the arvo with my cous who is going thru major personal dramas.
Will be doing the garage sale thingy with cous and friend Teresa soonish. Oh! for joy!
Dag was looking at the pics when we spent time with you and travelled up to Sydney and stayed with June, put a smile on my face.
Love and hugs to you all.
Bobbie hope you are having a great birthday.

The "22 years" comment was in response, I think, to my question to Suzy. I asked her how long Dana was going to use this excuse.

I slept through the morning again. My body is really putting up a fight to heal, thank goodness. A large part of all this is that my back is in such pain, and my tummy doesn't like a lot of pain killers. Fortunately, in 48 hours, I'll be home after my epidural pain block. They make me feel like I have a fresh start in life.

Good evening friends, what a lovely visit Joy and I had. the BBQ joint was still there, we ate out on the screen porch, the only "dining room" available. Most of their business is take out. Temp today was perfect, warm, low humidity a nice breeze. could not ask for better. Food was fab, even the lemonade was good.. Huge amount of food, enough for dinner tonight.

There was a written message on the one menu on the counter, "Open Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00 am till the meat runs out." hehehe. I am glad we got there before it did!

We did a couple of chores late afternoon. I had misplaced a set of stainless steel utensils, service for 12 that I had bought some time ago. Roger had told me that we moved it Thanksgiving when rearranging things to make room for the larger table we needed. I did not remember where we put it. Joy remembered. We cleaned out the drawer, washed them and put them away. My old, after only 35 years of service, had begun to tarnish. It was time to let them go. We also found some christms ornaments I had made years ago, ceramic snowfalkes. Teresa, oldest daughter, had mentioned she would like those, Joy also wanted them. I had 2 dozen, so divided them. Have teresa's ready to mail, hopefully this wek.

Now, I need to warm my BBQ chicken, make something to drink, and have my dinner. I might just make a BBQ sandwich tonight, not a lot hungry, but would be before morning.

Hugs to each of you, with extras. Till later.

It is lovely that you are able to share your things fairly Tricia, while you are able ♥

So far, I have had a minor productive morning. Stayed in bed till hubby and son left for the GP, got up about 10ish. Oldest daughter was going to cook some brekky for D#2, something that might help cure a hangover! Eggs was the answer, although she said at the time that my fridge needs a cleanout. She was going to do it, but I saw when I got up that she hadn't yet, so I got stuck into it. It was really time...
While we have been doing the kitchen, gourmet feasts have taken a back seat, so there was a lot of stuff we had bought but not used, eg veg, cream etc. My criteria was anything open was out, plus the veg, and all the bits of leftovers that had collected. The fridge now gleams and echoes!
After that I opened my 'bags' drawer, where garbags and freezer bags are kept, so I could put a fresh bag in the bin, decided it was a mess, so went through that too! Seeing as we apparently have three brand new lots of freezer bags of all sizes, plus multiple garbage bags, again, of all sizes, we don't need to buy any for probably a year!
Wow, I'm exhausted
