Hello everyone! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers of support for me when my mom died. I could never fully express how much that meant to me.
You probably already heard, but since I just found out, I wanted to come here and give my thoughts and prayers to Ouima. She was in a minor car accident last Sunday but took a turn for the worse in the hospital and has been on a respirator since last Wednesday. Michella wanted all of her friends to know so that they could pray for her. ♥

Oh Mamacita, Our thoughts and prayers going your way.You are so much part of us all here and we need your wonderful words and advice.
I cannot see myself getting much sleep. Suzy's Mum, a friend at bowls who has asked Ken to organise his wake (if he goes in the next couple of days Ken could be in India) and now Ouima in hospital. I have to bowl in the morning, weather permitting, (raining at the moment) so a bit late to look for a sleeping pill. (I have only taken about three in the last 12 months!)

Yesterday, our sunday, I had lots of people come by. Friend terry brought a co worker of his to shop pre garage sale. co worker bought a few items, Terry bought 3 times as much. The co worker said to me, he felt a bit uneasy looking through all the items, it was like tearing a mans life apart.

I sent the second mini van out for repairs, then I will sell it, I cannot drive 2 at a time, and have to keep buying car insurance and tags for it. I hope to put that, and what I get from the garage sale toward a newer vehicle for me. something this century hehehe. Cannot believe my vehicles are over 15 years old now, where did time go?

Friend Eddie drove up on his mower and cut the back yard for me. It was getting high, and feet got wet from early morning dew walking to the dome. he is such a good friend to do this for me. He might come back today for his shopping trip through the items, and help me sort a while.

While i was outside yesterday, I now know we had a tiny power flicker. did not know when I came in yesterday afternoon and found my computer screen blank. I was tired, being out in the dome standing around ( I need to get me a comfy chair out there) while the shopping took place. Not enough energy or ambition to trouble shoot the computer. Last night, I found one clock that was incorrect, figured power had flickered and hoped that was all wrong with computer, power flicker turned it off. YEP, that is what happened, I turned it back on this morning and it worked! sometimes it will not come back on once turned off and just did not feel like fooling with it last night.

Broni, such good news that the boat is sold. whatever will you do with all your spare time now? hehehe. I do understand about the emotional day. Having to let go of things from a happy past gets to you. We must learn to let go the item and keep the memories.

Gail, If you do hear from Suzy do let us know (from page 370) Yes, how did hubby and son enjoy the race?

Viv, I do hope the injections do all they are expected to do and more. thinking of you.

Suzy, safe travels, thoughts and prayers continue for you and family. do check in when you can, we care.

June, enjoy your lunch out,and I hope your hsaw has time to dry on the lines. I vote fro not cooking much any day.

Time to turn the page and read on.

OH NO, I just heard about Ouima, that is such a shock. I know she had some breathing problems previously. Perhaps the stress of the accident just escalated the Problem. How I hope and pray that with time and treatment, she can be weaned off the respirator and returned to her family and to us her cyber family. thoughts and prayers for Mamacieta an all her family.

I was thinking just this morning that it had been a while since we had heard from Mama, and was about to send out inquiries. get well soon, Ouima!

Stella, did you hear this on that other site? I do not think I am friends with her on FB. I hope her granddaughter is monitoring her e-mail for her so she can know how much we all really care.

morning all,
Quick drop in as I'm about to wake everyone up by having my shower and getting ready to go see mum. Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and wishes. The trip down took longer than it should have for 3 reasons - road closures due to floods, sharing the driving with a learner driver with an 80kph limit, and stopping more frequently and for longer to look after Natahlia. We couldn't really rock up to the hospital at midnight with a screaming baby so I haven't got to see mum yet.

So upset about Ouima too. Many thoughts to you and your family Ouima

Family is stirring, time to go..

love you all

Suzy, so glad you were able to check in. Where are you staying? and where is your Mum, hospital, hospice, a care facility or in her home? Just wondering the logistics of it all, if you do not mind sharing. I can imagine the trip was long and difficult with a baby. how did she do on the trip? I had forgotten roads were still affected by floods. detours are never fun.

Eddie and I got my riding mower running again today. It cranked once this year, and was driven into the dome, remember me saying? Well, it was left with key in it and I am thinking perhaps not in the totally OFF position, and drained the battery. Eddie charged the battery, gave it some fresh gas, did you know gas could go bad over winter?? Now it is again cranking first time, every time.

We moved some other large things outside, cause they were just in the way, making more room to move about. still so much to do, the more we remove, the more comes into view. I found some more large ticket items hidden, like a 200 amp electrical panel with breakers, small(well small enough to easily hide) but pricey.

Eddie found a few things he bought today also, it is adding up. I came in and took a nap, not sure why I was so tired, just from all the heat? Accumulation of bits of tired all weekend when i ws busy. Gee, just a year ago, I could do so much more than I am capable of now, it does make me angry. I want to do so much, but that pneumonia and associated illness this winter just has lingering effects. I am learning, do some, then rest, and take the pain meds, that is what they are for. I have recovered from todays, may have another day tomorrow, if sister comes down.

Heidi, I do hope you are in bed and resting today. wishing long lasting pain relief for you and for Viv after back injections.

June, like you, I keep checking in to see if there is more news. difference is, I get blabber fingered once I get here. Taking my meds, one of two things happen. I get very talkative, or I fall asleep. Typing here is better than talking to myself, eh?

Hugs to each of you, with extras. prayers for Suzy and family, Mama and family and any others needing them.

Good Evening, Fellow Sudokuaholics!

Heidi and Viv, I hope both of you benefit from your pain-killing shots!

Thank you, Stella, and others who have notified us about Mama and are trying to keep us up-to-date!

Tricia, sounds like you had a very busy and productive Sunday! Just remember to pace yourself! I'm so glad you take a nap when necessary, rather than pushing yourself to do more! So glad some things are selling!

Suzy, I'm glad you made it safely on your long journey, and with a little baby as a passenger! I'm sure your Mum will be so glad to see you, your family, and her new great grandie!

Almost 2 years ago when MIL was in hospital and not doing well, D came with her brand-new baby to see her grandma and let her grandma see the new great-grandie. The nurses had a fit and said the baby shouldn't even be on the floor. We did a quick visit into the room so MIL and baby could be introduced, then I took baby to an out-of-the-way and little used waiting room while hubby and our D visited with MIL. The visit did a world of good, but little more than a week later, MIL was gone.

Well, it's late here. (I know you're all shocked!) We need to be up early in the morning, so I need to call it a night. Lots and lots of {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}, , positive thoughts, healing vibes, and prayers for all those in need! Good Night, Everyone!

Wishing everyone a restful and good night's sleep when the time is right.

Hi all. Keep looking in for news. I did look at the other site and Suzy was taking the baby in to meet her great grandmother. I hope they took some photos and also one of the four generations.
Also keep thinking of Mama and hope she is doing well.

On a lighter note our team won our bowls game by 10 points but the other team lost by more than that so we only got one point out of a possible five. I started off playing like a champion, unfortunately that did not last!!
Hubby asked "how long to dinner" answer 10-15 minutes. What does he do?? Go and cut the lawns. @0 minutes later and he is still out there. Need cutting with all the rain we are having and he is off to India on Thursday.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. I also keep peeking in here, and on FB, looking for news. I got to spend time with Mamacita. Her son lives about 30 minutes 30 minutes from me. Last time she came down, we all went to lunch. Me and the boys, my parents, Mama, her son and granddaughter. We had a wonderful time. Even my husband had a great time. She is a great lady.

Following is a link to an incident that happened a few hours north of me. Racism is rearing its ugly head. The boy that was killed goes to a high school in the neighborhood I grew up in. This has been making me sick. If you follow the link, make sure you take out the spaces when you copy/paste.

Evening all,
First an update from here... Mum has bad pain, but in the hospital we are able to get her pain killers every 2 hours. Different ones each time of course. I almost laughed today because they offered her panadol - yeah right. There was almost a party in her room today there were so many of us. I don't think tomorrow will be much better, but we will work it better as we have all seen her now. She has chosen to go treatment free and straight to palliative care. Hard for us, but her choice.... I have no idea how much time she has.
