Greetings to everyone! I just had a few minutes to read a handful of comments.

Theresa, I'm so glad you could pop in for a quick post. We miss you and are concerned about you and your family.{{{{HUGS}}}}! I hope all is well!

Heidi, be careful with that infection! So glad that the epidural worked, but concerned about ramifications of an infection. Be extra careful and keep an eye on things! I hope you soon feel better!

Suzy, thinking of you and your Mum and hoping all is well. Get lots of pictures and spend as much quality time as possible. {{{{HUGS}}}} and prayers for pain-free days and nights!

Rolanda, thinking of you and hoping that all is going well in your life!

June, I'll go with the new name Heidi gave you: Wonder Woman. It's amazing how you always find time to help others! Remember to do things for yourself!

Broni, I know it's a bittersweet time, but glad you won't have all of the boat work hanging over you. Maybe you''ll have time to enjoy something for yourself.

My mind has gone blank, and I really must get to some of the ffuts I'm determined to accomplish.

Oops, just remembered that I wanted to tell Tricia that I hope she's feeling better. Take each day as you can and get as much accomplished as possible.

Hoping Viv is feeling better after her injections!

Sending lots of love, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, prayers, positive thoughts and healing vibes for all, and especially to those I have forgotten to mention. Take care, All.

Ooops. I have no one to blame for neglecting to keep track of the number of posts. Remember that each day is a new chance to show others how you love them. I saw a great quote today, but have forgotten it, so just know that you are all loved and appreciated more than you know.

Morning all,
Bit sad this morning. Don and the girls have left for home. My brother's family have left too. We are staying for as long as we can, but so is mum's most annoying friend!

All 3 beds stripped and sheets washed, toilet cleaned tonnes of dusting done. Time to get to the hospital. I'm on night shift tonight so I'll see you all tomorrow..

heidi, I think it is that 100% humidity that is causing your sweat. Same was happening here, but I now have the doors shut and the AC on low to wring water out of the air.

It's great to have a good internet connection here in Launceston but tomorrow we head for the NE coast near Bicheno and Freycinet - don't know how good the connection will be there.
Heidi - hope the antibiotics work!
Love and hugs to all!

Heidi, be well

Cyn, I have been following your exploits with a bit of envy. It sounds like a fantastic trip! I think it must be doing your heart good.

MizT, I hope you are feeling a bit better. It sounds like you may have overdone it a little, or a lot

Home again but very tired.
Suzy, take care and know your are in our thoughts and prayers.
Heidi, I do not like the sound of that infection. I hope the antibiotics work quickly.
Cyn, sounds like you are having a wonderful time. You deserve it.
I hope the garage sale is a huge success tricia. You have put in a lot of work.

Hugs to you all. I have a busy day doing some cooking. Ken estimated catering for about 200 but the family had said they thought 175. Now they think at least 200. Ken had most things ordered and organised and others have done a lot of work as well so everyone contacted, some more food ordered etc. This person was a former judge, Ex president of both Bowling and Probus club, ex councillor etc etc so you can see why it will be a big funeral.

Suzy my thoughts are with you as is my heart.
In some ways it only seems like yesterday that I was in your place. In fact it will be 5 years this anniversary.

I think my mum waited until I was with her to let go of the fight. I don't think I have ever felt so helpless... or such love for my mum. The last words she spoke to me were "I love you.." As difficult and heart wrenching as that midnight shift was it was probably one of the most precious moments of my life. Big hugs & love

June, I do hope you have time to rest some today between your chores. Too many busy days in a row for you, it sounds like.

Suzy, I probably have overdone it some, but one of those "have to" things. I did sleep last night, best sleep in days, so that helped. That my 2 busy days were separated by a thunderstorm and cold front really added to the achies. Seems better today, both weather and me hehehe.

Goodness, Cyn, you are really traveling about, seeing all the sites, visiting many different areas. Did you schedule any "down days" where you just rest up for the next leg of the trip? Hope you are taking lots of photos and will share when you get home.

Time for a rice sock and my recliner, read a bit while I wait for coffee time. Only 30 minutes to go .

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

June can i book you for when my time comes? LOL
Glad you are on antibiotics Heidi.. not an area to take chances with.
Julie i hope you know that you are loved and appreciated here.. could never keep up otherwise..
Cyn I am so envious of you spending time at Bicheno..we drove through and didn't spend much time there. Lachie was very young and hiking at Freycinet wasn't his thing.. easy when he was small enough to throw on our back!
Hope you get every thing done before the garage sale Tricia.. can you take a couple of photo's for us before the hoards descend and clean you out... I really should have one myself.

Nite everybody.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

I am off to another busy day. Have Saturday school to teach. I hate having to get up early but the overtime helps. That is why I volunteered to open the computer lab after school. We are still trying to catch up from when hubby was out of work. He is working now, but the extra income helps.

I have received an email form one of my cousins. She is the closet one to me in age, 7 years older. She wants to arrange a "cousins" trip to her cabin in North Carolina. She made the comment that she does not have a sister. Her and I are both younger sisters of older brothers, the only boys on that generation. Our family was all girls. She has two boys and so do I. The only other child of ours is a girl adopted from China. My cousin has now "adopted" me as her younger sister. I can't be the little sister as I outgrew her when I was 12 (no more hand-me-downs). Next time she is in town we are going to toast the adoption. She also pointed out that M and D are now her nephews. Her brother has two boys also, my brother never had kids.

Hi everyone!
Suzy, thinking of you, sending love and hugs. ♥♥
Cyn, we did Bicheno and Freycinet - had a great time there.
Not much happening here - been reading a lot. Did move more stuff from the back yard and Rob has started looking into hiring a skip! Will have to find out about getting the fence fixed so Rachel can bring her dog in a few months ...
Going back to Mum's on Monday - still cleaning and packing, and we'll see if she's well enough for us to visit again. We seem to be always doing stuff now! We did go out the other day - went to see John Cleese. It was a really good night, but he's looking very old!
OK, that's all folks - talk to you next time. :)

Forgot to change my avatar after last night's basketball victory. The Commonwealth of Kentucky has two teams in the Elite Eight for the National Championship: Louisville and Kentucky. Louisville will play tonight, and Kentucky tomorrow, to try to get into the Final Four.

Rain has ended here, woke today to the bluest skies, and low humidity, lower temps. turned out to be a nice day. Pain levels best they have been in weeks, and I have got a lot done today, work and rest, work some more. since I had an empty closet in my bedroom now, and I had some of my summer lothes in boxes under the bed, I am putting summer in one closet, winter in another now. should make it easier to find what I want during transition season when I have to have some of both, because of the changeable weather.

I need to get some adds sent in for the sale, catch you all later.

forgot to say I now have my land line working once again. It was only out for 48 hours. during the repair, my DSL computer line also went out, boy I was fearful they would get one repaired and the other would be out. It was the phone co problem, and I do not know why they said they checked line and it was OK. Repairman said a lightning arrester (spell check likes NO spelling I can think of for this word) about 4 miles away was fried, and that took out my line.

Oh, yeah. Take it easy. I just got a call from IH and Don that they couldn't hook Don's bush hog up to Don's tractor, so they could remove a whole lot of 12 gauge wire that they had wrapped around the shaft. So I went over there and did the work for them. My hands are smaller, and I could get them up into the mechanism to work the wire free.

The wrestling match with the wire under the bush hog overdid it on my back. It doesn't feel comfy, and there are pains shooting down my leg. BUT, I got the job done, and IH and Don had been unable to do it. Smugness does feel good.

I AM taking it easy. I've been sitting here in front of the 'puter, listening to a couple of NCAA basketball games. Louisville beat Florida and Ohio State (my FIL's alma mater) beat Syracuse. Tomorrow Kentucky gets to humiliate Baylor and Kansas plays North Carolina for the other 2 spots in the Final Four.

I sent a couple of postcards to Tami, and haven't heard if she got them yet. One is the cabin at Abraham Lincoln's Birthplace. (Which I think is a joke because not only is there not a single log from the original cabin in it, but they got the size wrong, and it's smaller than the original.) The other is of a stalactite formation at Mammoth Cave.

BRONI, My dad taught me how to remember the which is which. If the MITES go up your leg, the TITES are gonna come down.

Heidi, do you think there is a chance Louisville will play Kentucky in the final? Did your back get better after a rest?

Joy came down again this afternoon. We worked on signs again. I laid them out, and she did the "coloring, gee I am back in kindergarten" hehehe. We had pan fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and greens for dinner. Yummy.

Was cool this morning, cool again tonight. Back has responded to pain meds better today, only bad just was right before I took my evening pain meds. I was a tad late taking it.

I had to check the calendar, yep, still March. It is a bit early for June bugs, but we have a LOT of them outside. I had the back door open and fan blowing to help with the fumes from the permanent markers we were using. I know I have caught and flushed 8 of them that made it inside. Twice they have buzzed me and got into my hair, where they latch on. they do not sting, but still, do not want the big things hung on me. I join Joy in saying YUCK to these bugs.

Good night all, hugs to each of you, with extras.

Very tired tonight but still have 4 date and nut loaves to make. I have cooked 14 k of chicken wings and done some craft work for Laura to sell on "peddlers day" at school next Friday. I took her home about 5 pm but also have quite a mess to clean up in the kitchen.
