Suzy, you come talk all you want about your Mom. I know the talking is a good thing, it was for me, and I am enjoying learning about your mom. she sounds a wonderful person. I agree, the town where she lives appreciates her, knows her, it is a good place to lay her to rest.

Tricia that was exactly what I was going to say to Suzy about her mum. It sounds as if she found herself a wonderful community when she moved there.
It is a fitting place for her last resting place, and will allow more people who loved and appreciated her to pay there respects.
((HUGS)) Suzy.

I'm off to our local Lions Club meeting in a few. I slept most of the day since I was feeling quite dizzy today. I don't know why.

Yes, the town she adopted really accepted her as one of their own, that can be a tough gig in some country towns. The joke around here is that twenty five years and you are no longer considered a newcomer!

I am back. Dylan was not feeling well, so we stayed home. He is mildly lactose intolerant. Not sure if that is what is bothering him but decided to play safe.

Morning all,
Hard day ahead today starting to go through mum's things.

I'm starting with the less personal stuff, but a scrap of paper with stuff about emus on it really got to me! Mum is called the emu lady here.

Back from the meeting. I volunteered to help out at a Lions Club kids camp on Derby weekend. It sounds like it will be fun.

So Tami.... how did the breathing test go for Mamacita? I don't know if you tried to call me earlier to tell me, because I slept all afternoon.

I thought that maybe she could, but it was difficult.... that's why they're waiting until Wednesday.

I figured that if it was an emergency, they'd do it today instead of 2 days from now.

I really don't know more than that. All her daughter told me was that she decided to have the trach surgery and it would be wednesday. I wish I could give you a better answer.

Hi, Everyone!

Thinking of all of you, but no time to mention you individually. I don't really know where the hours of the day are going - only that they seem to disappear more quickly each day. I guess that's good, as it keeps me out of trouble.

{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}, prayers, positive thoughts, healing vibes, peace and understanding for all of you. I hope to get more organized and develop a schedule that will help me get more accomplished in the days to come. Take care, Everyone!

Logan, Vicki, but they pay me travel allowance and it should only be 30hrs or so, should only be 4 to 5 days work and then the end of the tax quarter so should get extra hours. All adds up for taking holidays!

Sounds good Broni, hope you enjoy the work.
I've just posted a new photo of Pip, the new puppy, who we will be bringing home on Sunday.
Thoughts are with Mama and her family.
((HUGS)) Suzy, hopefully your brother and his wife will help sorting your mum's stuff. I know it is hard and can take a while, as you come across something you had forgotten about and it brings up memories.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Suzy, continued hugs to you and your family.

Broni, glad you are getting the hours you want. Hope one of the holidays you are planning is topside.

Brenda, Pip is adorable. We will have to Skype one day so that I can meet him. I am sure Harley would like to meet him to.

Suzy - please come here and talk to us about anything. I'm sure we've all done it as we dealt with our grief. It sounds like a wonderful town she made her final home in and that she was treasured by the residents. What a wonderful tribute. I'll be thinking of you over the next days and will finally be home and back to normal on Thursday evening.
Much love and hugs!!

The farm tour is a week from today, and I am not close to being ready. Between the rain and my health, the work has not gotten done. Oh well, they'll get to see work-in-progress.

Robert just showed up while I was mowing the lawn, and took over the job. I was getting dizzy.

Just had another bull calf born. That's 22 bull calves and 6 heifer calves. That means only 6 cows to go, but they could be spread out.

I didn't tell you about something that my fellow Lion, Tammy, and I decided last night. We're going to march in the Lincoln's Day parade this year dressed as pirates. We plan on taking every Lincoln impersonator we meet hostage. We're trying to find others to join us in the fun.

Have I scared everyone off?

After Robert finished the mowing, we loaded some cattle panels on the pallet forks of the tractor, and drove down to the roadside to work on the fence. I stopped halfway down. The little bull calf that I'd just tagged had gone through 2 high tensile fences (the ones that I'm replacing) and was asleep by himself in the unoccupied horse pasture. We grabbed him and got him back where he belonged, but he didn't want to be there. His mama finally convinced him to stay.

Morning all,
Paul, my brother, was coming over yesterday to help get things started and then meet with the celebrant at 2. He showed up right on 2, they cooked me dinner because they were worried about me being out here on my own, everyone except the driver got drunk (neighbours too) and they left telling me that Paul needs a day off so won't be back today. Basically that means nothing got done except for the cupboard I went through. I've decided I'm glad they aren't coming today because I can just get stuck into it all.

Heidi, when is the Lion's parade? I would love to come help you take hostages. That sounds like it will be fun.

Suzy, if I lived closer, I would come help. It is not easy. I remember helping my mom clean my grandmother's place.

Hi everyone. :)
Have been at Mum's place for a couple of days, and came back to see Suzy's news - thinking of you a lot Suzy. ♥♥♥
Well we've actually started moving stuff from Mum's place to ours. Didn't help that I had a really bad night - you know the kind, where you keep checking the clock to see if you've been asleep at all - but 6 bags are now in our spare room, plus we took more bags to St Vinnie's, and they said they can come and collect stuff, so suddenly things are really moving along! It was a horror trip home (sleepless night, plus unfamiliar road) but I made it to sister's place, then Rob caught the train and came to meet me, plus bought take-away, so that was ok! Now I have to go to the doctor's to have a "spot" checked out, THEN I might put on a movie or something ...
Take care, folks! Thinking of you all. :)
