While at Tractor Supply today (getting the 1340 ft of woven wire fencing) Robert and I saw the perfect 4 wheeler. It seats 2, has a top, 4WD, a winch and a dump bed. I've been looking for just the right one, and I finally found it. I plan on picking it up next week after the tour.

One of the men from the men's shed here recorded Alie singing a few of her songs. One is called "Only 15". It's about her ex-boyfriend and his talk of marriage etc and that that is the reason he is her ex. It has swearing in it! Just S and A, but...

TAMI, do you think Mama could enjoy having get well cards? If so, could you ask for Mama's mailing address so we could send them? Maybe having a card read to her would bring a little cheer to her.

I am off to bed, it has been a sleepy day today. did i say I slept till 9:45 this morning? then had a nap after lunch, fell sleep in my recliner. did the same after dinner. Best rest up as much as I can, Friday and Saturday will be rough.

I did read, I thought of each of you, but my brain is not holding onto thoughts tonight. I will try again later.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Good Evening, Everyone!

MIzT, what a great idea to have cold drinks for your helpers, and extras for sale to your shoppers! I hope it makes a difference! Thinking positive thoughts for your sale this weekend! I'm so glad you slept well, but I know the need to have some movement while sleeping as well!

Suzanne, I'm glad to hear that you've been sleeping better! It can make such a difference in your day!

Suzanne and Tami, thank you for your tag-team update on Mamacita! I know we all appreciate the effort it takes to share the information!

It has been very interesting to read about the 2 Roberts, both of whom have apparently overcome some rather major odds and are continuing to deal with challenges. Heidi and Suzy, it takes some special people to be as understanding and accepting!

Heidi, the 4-wheeler sounds like it has much of what you need! Will you need to order one, or just buy the one at the store?

Tricia, I'm glad you're getting extra sleep before your busy garage sale days! What a great idea to suggest Get Well cards for Mama!

Broni, enjoy your visit with Teresa!

Some of our SA friends have been absent for too long. For all those we are missing, I hope you know that you are missed and our thoughts are with you. Please take care and be well!

For everyone, please feel free to share these positive thoughts, healing vibes, , prayers and {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}! Peace to all of you!

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Tricia, wonderful idea for cards. I have sent Michella a message. When I get a response, I will let people know. I also told her I would relay address via email and pm so that it would not be publicly posted. I may need help passing it along.

Hope all is well in the world. Keeping everyone in my thoughts, whether they post or not.

Up early, to go make the long trek to get more concrete. I could buy concrete closer, but I get special (lazy person's) concrete. It comes in 50 lb bags (most come in 80 lb bags) is quick setting (hard in 20 minutes) and does not have to be mixed (which is the hard part). Instead, we just pour it dry into the hole around the post and pour on water. It is wonderful stuff. I need another 15 bags.

Julie... The store has 2 of them... one on display that kids climb all over and play on, and an identical one in the back which hasn't been touched. I've asked them to hold that one for me.

Heidi, that is same "lazy man's" concrete Al used for setting poles and timbers for post and beam foundations for domes. You are right, so much easier. when I was younger, I helped to set posts, and I have watered many a hole.

Glad your fever is gone, heidi. How about the dizzy spells, are they gone too?

Tami, I love my puter too hehehe.

Julie, happy you got here to read and post. sometimes we can guage how busy your days are by how short your posts are hehehe. do tell us some of what is keeping you busy.

Well, I must get busy this morning, I have already cooked beans in pressure cooker for a bean soup tomorrow. It can go into crock pot to keep warm. helpers and I can come into house to eat when we can. we will not all be able to leave at once. This "serve yourself" meal will be just the thing.

I am off to wal mart this morning. Never made it yesterday, meds made me to dizzy to drive then. Must get the coals and ingredients for a second crock pot meal for Saturday.

Hugs to all with extras.

Robert and I are taking a much needed lunch break. We're gonna give those posts 24 hours to set hard before attaching the woven wire, so this afternoon will be spent mowing lawns (3 of them: around the house, around the lab and around IH's office) and general tidying to prepare for the tour. They'll be here in 5 days.

I love this concrete, MizT. So does Robert. It's more expensive than the regular stuff, but it saves so much backbreaking work that it saves you money in medical bills.

I have an address to mail cards to. I have emailed it to some people. If I did not email you it means either I did not have your email address or just overlooked it. Send me a personal message and I will send it. I don't want to post it publicly to protect her daughter's privacy.

I spoke to her daughter today. Surgery went well. She had a trach and feeding tube put in. They are lookin into moving her into a long-term care facility that specializes in breathing problems. The goal is to get her off the ventilator. This is not a nursing home, but an alternate to being in a hospital. Michella is grateful for all the prayers and really feels that that is helping. I am sure Mama would love to receive cards.

Good morning all
We are back home, and it was lovely to sleep in our own bed last night. We had a wonderful holiday but there comes a time you just want to go home.
Had dinner with saylz and his wife on Wed night. I've posted a pic on FB but will have to resize and post it here too. Tasmania is a wonderful place to visit - so diverse and all in one compact island. But I wouldn't want to live there - I guess I'm too much of a city girl.

Tami - thanks for the updates on Mama. I haven't checked my email for the address but am assuming that you had my email and sent it to me. It sounds like this may be a slow recovery process.
It has been hard being away and not able to just nip onto the pooter for news whenever I felt like it. So I constantly had Mama and Suzy on my mind.

Suzy I'll be thinking of you in the next few days, particularly tomorrow, and hoping that you are dealing with things in the best way you can. Remember, we are all with you in spirit. I found that a comfort last year, I really did!

I've written out a card to Mama and will mail it when I go down to the gallery later today.

Several times this week I've found myself thinking, 'What would Mamacita say?'. She is a comfort even when she isn't here. But I hope she can come back soon.

Mama update. They are trying to get her off the ventilator. Previously she was able to go 5.5 hours without it. Today she went 6 hours without being tired. A babystep, but I will take it.

Hi everyone. :)
Tami, good news about Mama's improvement, even babysteps are wonderful. We are all thinking of her. ♥♥♥
Welcome home CynB - it was lovely to meet you and Colin. :D
We have had a skip delivered and we're loading it with junk - stuff from unmaking old buildings, etc. There goes the kids' climbing-frame, parts fom an ancient vegetable-garden (concrete 18in thick), etc. etc! Seems to be going quite fast ... hope that's not a bad sign ...
We're going out tonight - meeting up with Gail and hubby, having a bit of dinner, then going
out to a concert together - really looking forward to it! :)
Take care everyone.
