You are right, Theresa. There is no excuse for not stopping! I hope they catch the loser that hit him (best chance is an informant) and throw the book at him. It's bad enough that they hit him, but then knowingly leaving him so he might die is cold hearted and sick.

I didn't look at the number of posts. A TOPP shouldn't be so angry.

Great to hear from you, Nola, but please don't feel that you have to respond to all or any of our posts. You and Judy are going through the worst thing 2 loving sisters could ever go through, and all of our hearts ache for you both. I know I feel so helpless not being able to do anything to help you both. Nor do I have Mamacita's gift of words in which to comfort you. I just want you to know that we ALL care deeply about this nightmare you and Judy are suffering through, and we all wish for the best possible outcome, whatever that might be. ((((( HUGS )))))

For someone without 'Mamacita's gift of words' - that was great Heidi. And Nola that's how we all feel.
Theresa - both of those are very sad news indeed for your D's friends. I do hope they catch the low-life who would hit and run!

It's supposed to be 39c here today, and remembering how high our humidity gets, it's going to be a killer (probably literally for some of the elderly).
My sister and I are going to see 'The Intouchables' in a lovely air-conditioned theatre but I'm hoping I can just snag an undercover car park or I will expire just trying to get back home!

IH did it again. He said that he was going out of town this afternoon, and wouldn't be back until Friday. It's now Monday evening, and he just told me that he's not leaving until tomorrow afternoon now. I told him that since he said he wouldn't be here for supper, I planned nothing for him.

Thanks June - you have had a hard road. Thank goodness for your grandie. Heidi, I think your comments were perfect too. How glad I am I found this site.Hubby up your way Cyn - in Brisbane this week. Wish I was there too - we usually stay in Ascot. He works and I visit friends. Maybe next time. Had a reasonable night with the cycler last night so crossing fingers it will get better with time. At least I will be able to take the machine with me for short trips. My next goal is to go camping for a few days over Christmas in my caravan. It will not be far from home so I can get back if I can't handle it. Hubby hates camping and this has always been my salvation - we have worked together for the past 24 years and this is the only time (except for business trips) we have on our own. I love it!! My children will use the van heaps. It will be on the foreshore near Rye - a great family area.

Cyn - $15000+ for orthodontic work is ludicrous. For that amount of work a second opinion is warranted.

Hi, Everyone! I'm going to try again to read & comment. Here we are on page 554.

Cyn, good luck to Lachlan, if he really wants the job.

Heidi, hurray for no dental surprises, but sorry for the chipped tooth and the canceled appointment for the fractured root. I hope it will be rescheduled soon! Enjoy your night without IH!

MizT, no wonder you don't want to hear a siren! They're rarely associated with good things. I hope the fruit & vegetable man had what you wanted!

Gail, I hope you are having/have had a good visit! Too bad the hotel you wanted wasn't available!

MIdge, I hope your days are improving! {{{HUGS}}}

Theresa, I hope your hubby's visit with his father goes well, and the meals you sent are appreciated!

Theresa, so sorry the time with your grandies didn't go well! It would be so much easier if they showed some respect! Hopefully the sincere apology will come!

I have also not found any Christmas spirit this year. haven't done any shopping or writing of cards. I was interested before Thanksgiving, but didn't have the time or any suggestions or requests. Since Thanksgiving, both hubby and I have been sick, but now that I've started to feel a bit better, I'm just not interested in shopping. We can always give money or gift cards for the adults, but the 3 grandies (age 7 and under) wouldn't be impressed.

Moving on to page 555: great TOPP and avatar, Cyn.

Heidi, I hope everything went well with unloading hay, delivering calves to the sale barn, etc. It sounds like a very busy day.

Broni, congratulations to Pete on his win at the Ute Muster! Well done! Does it involve restoration of a classic ute?

Welcome back to SA, Bobbi! We're always glad to see a post from you!

Gail, I'm so glad the wedding was beautiful! I hope your trip home was uneventful!

MizT, I hope your hurties will soon be gone. PT in a warm pool could be most helpful, but too bad it requires a long walk!

Heidi, what exciting news about breeding Sere to Cushti Bok in the summer! It should be quite an adventure! We'll all be keeping fingers crossed that all goes well!

MIdge, you must have been beside yourself when the police called looking for your son. Quite a relief to know he was safe and sound! Hopefully there is little damage to his car! What an absolutely dreadful time for you cousin's family! It sure puts things in perspective, doesn't it? Hopefully her husband will be able to deal with the 2 young boys, which will be difficult without your cousin's Mum and brother as support and back-up! With luck, his family will step up as well! Thinking of you and hoping for better times in the weeks leading up to Christmas! Hopefully the testing for evidence on/in your son's car can be done quickly, and he'll be able to get it back in good condition!

Heidi, good news for your FIL! I've also never heard of cancer being isolated in one finger, but wonderful news for him!

Cyn, congratulations to Lachlan for getting the job! It's a

Here's more of that post:

Cyn, congratulations to Lachlan for getting the job! It's amazing how much his orthodontic work wlll cost!

June, thanks so much for the update on Nola and Judy! Judy's placement and care from nurses Nola knows should remove a bit of the worry from Nola's shoulders!

I hope all goes well for your SIL as she attempts to transport your MIL to her house. At least SIL is doing things the way she wants to, so should have no cause to complain.

Suzy, those students seem to be a bit confused by information they must only be hearing/reading bits of! I wonder how many of them think the earth is flat because what they see is essentially flat.

Theresa, how awful for your D's friend who lost her husband and for her other friend whose father was struck by a car. Thank goodness the neighbors spotted the dog and knew it wasn't usually left on its own, so went to investigate. How awful! I hope his injuries are not too severe. Hopefully the coward who hit him will be found and prosecuted.

Nola, it's always nice to read a post from you. We certainly understand that you have much on your hands and on your mind to take up your time. {{{{HUGS}}}} to you and Judy!

Judy, you have our support and understanding! So sorry you received some worrying and upsetting news! {{{HUGS}}}

Heidi, your comment to Nola is perfect. There certainly is no need to worry about conveying the way you feel to Nola! Those of us who don't have Mamacita's gift of words must just say it from our hearts, as you did so beautifully!

Nola, you and Judy are in our thoughts and in our hearts. Your precious time shouldn't be spent worrying about updating us or responding to our comments. Use the time you have to share with Judy and continue to make memories and share deep thoughts! Because we can't be there with you to offer physical support, we use our words to let you know how much we care! {{{HUGS}}}

MIdge, I hope it works out that you can get away for a while in the caravan! It sounds like you could really use some 'me' time!

Heidi, I hope IH leaves when he says he will - and stays away as long as he says he will!

Sending much and {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} to all! Feel free to share them and the positive thoughts, healing vibes and prayers being sent your way!

To those who haven't been able to post recently, you're still in our thoughts and prayers!

greetings friends, yesterday in the pol felt so good! I came home tuckered out, though and spent the afternoon and evening napping. Shhh, do not tell and jinx it, but I think I feel less ouchie today. I am waiting on time to leave for doc. He always runs behind on appointments, the thing to do is phone in at your appointment time and find out HOW FAR behind he is, and adjust your launch time accordingly. Still I know I will have a long wait. After we get the things done we are doing now, I shall start to look for a doc closer. It is an hour trip, most freeway, to get to him. First thing I shall ask in looking for a doc is how long do patients have to wait once in the office to see him.

I am in the Christmas spirit, and the spirit is willing, body just not able to get out and shop or do things I want to. I do wish I had a better place for my tree, it is pretty on the table where I have it, but always before, I could sit in my chair, look just to the right of TV and see my tree. Now, it is on same wall my chair is on, and i cannot see it from there, bummer.

Nola, you and Judy are in my thoughts and prayers. No need to worry about us here, just take care of her and yourself. Know we are here whenever you need to talk, we are good listeners, and know we do enjoy hearing from you. We just understand you cannot do everything now. Hugs to the both of you, with extras. when the going is hard, stop and think of each of us there with you, holding your hand. Cause we would if we could.

Heidi, Hope you are enjoying your quite time, hope Gil stays away as long as he said, and as he often does, even longer. You can use a break. I think you picked a good stallion for Sere, best of luck with that. How long will you have to stay in Ocalla with her to be sure it takes?

JUDY, sorry something upsetting has happened in your life, hope it is soon resolved and with the best possible outcome.

Julie, good to see a post from you, I alwaqys enjoy your summaries. need to know what is going on your life, you said you and hubby have been sick? Get well son, holidays not a good time for sick.

OK, time to launch, will chat again soon. Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Quick visit because I woke up early..

Congratulations Lachlan! It doesn't matter if it was 'just' McDonalds - he was probably competing with a LOT of kids so has done really well.

Midge, did your son get his car back? I hope you are feeling a bit better now...

Heidi, that does sound like a weird kind of cancer, but if he's clear now I'll take weird!

Theresa, how awful! So very young for one friend and so rotten for the other...

Brenda, I'm glad the 'new' car is okay to drive. It would be horrible if you hated it!

Cyn, I hope your really hot day was not too humid! Our weather has cooled off a lot, in fact it's cold this morning, but the humidity during the day is still knocking me around.

Heidi, well said. Both to Nola and to Gil!

Cyn, hubby and I always said our kids would have braces if they needed them, no matter what! We both have horrible teeth and didn't want that for them. Our insurance covers $250 for every year we are in the fund. We've been in it for 12 years now and neither of the kids need them! Alie is actually asked when she had hers taken off her teeth are so straight!

MizT, the tough thing about changing to a doc with shorter wait times is why are the wait times shorter. Do they schedule the appointments further apart? Do people leave because he/she is not a good doctor? Does he/she rush people out before they've finished what they came for???

We broke a 30 year old record today with our temp of 17.6C. Then over the next 24 hours the temp will drop by 25 degrees. Ouch. It's raining right now, but today people were out without jackets or sweaters. Nice.

Hi all. Just a quick stop in. Have read the posts but don't remember what I have read. It is a busy week. I am chaperoning Dylan's field trip Friday. They are going to LegoLand in Orlando. About a 4 hour bus ride. Leaving at 6 am and won't be back until about 11 pm. I will try to post before then but if I don't, I will see you over the weekend.

Hi all and welcome Hawkmoon!
Have just had a long chat to Rolanda, she's having such communication problems that I gave up and phoned her.
She lost a big post to SA earlier. She wanted me to tell you that she's thinking of you all and sends love, hugs and prayers to those who need it - especially Nola, Midge and Judy.
All is going well with the house, unpacking is getting done and it all looks good. Her family will all be together for Christmas and then 3 weeks tomorrow she and Peter will be off on holidays. Weather has been hot and muggy there in Perth. Her communication problems could last until February!! But she's hoping her sons will be able to sort something better at Christmas.

Enjoy your small break Heidi - you deserve it. My dear eccentric aunt who passed last year at the grand age of 96 used to say when I went camping - 'I bet you feel like a dog off the leash' - how true. She lived in Borneo for many years after WWII and was so interesting. Son has just gone to pick up his car - they won't tell him how much damage has been done so assume it may be a fair bit. Good luck at the Dr. MizT. Maybe the staff where you are living can help with your choice of a local Dr. I also cannot get into the Christmas spirit - think my brother was right when he said we need Mum to organise us. No tree up yet but I do have my Santa out - actually I love him and he has been sitting in the loungeroom all year - just because! D will be using my car (Avensis) to go to Meredith this weekend - a 3 day music festival out in the bush with 4 of her friends. All of my kids have gone there for many years so you would think I would stop worrying.

MizT.... Midge has a good suggestion. Ask the staff where you live for a recommendation of a good, close, doctor. I like doctors that are good at planning and scheduling their time. I think an organized mind is better at diagnostics and non-conflicting prescriptions. Glad the water therapy seems to be helping (I added ''seems'' so as not to jinx it).
I will probably have to stay in Florida for 4 or 5 days to guarantee getting Sere bred. Her second heat after foaling will be 30 days after the previous foal is born (a lot of breeders prefer breeding on the foal heat (first heat after foaling) but I don't want to be transporting a newborn foal that far. So I need to have Serenade and baby in Ocala Florida on the 30th day after she gives birth so she's there when she comes in season. They will probably do several breedings, then take a blood test or ultrasound to see if it's taken. Modern technology can detect a pregnancy in horses 3 days after the breeding. The farm where Cushti Bok lives is only 12 minutes drive from my friend's house, and they've already invited us to stay with them. When I say ''us'', Anita is coming along, and her youngest daughter Belle wants to come, too. We may even drag her grandson Devon along (she has custody of him).

Heidi, I got 22222!!! I checked the top of the page...

Tami, have a great time at Legoland. (I enjoy theme parks as much as the kids do).

Suzy she was wonderful. When I was in my teens and there were a lot of train strikes in Melb. I used to stay with her and my uncle's chauffeur would drive me to business college. She used to dye streaks in my hair (much to my Mum's horror) and was always arranging blind dates with her son's friends for me. She was actually my great-aunt but like a second Mum and I could tell her anything. Son's car has to wait until tomorrow now as it is still being processed. Think the Zombie clothes were a problem....

Midge, staying with your great aunt sounds like fun (I deliberately separated those! She's was a great great-aunt!) I had the opposite kind of mum. She was always pushing me to get weird haircuts and wear short skirts etc. I wonder if your son turned up with photos of himself at the parade if it would speed things along at all? Probably not because they'd figure the fake blood could be hiding real blood...

You're forgiven Heidi. I was very proud of my achievement!! It's the little things...

Greetings, Everyone!

Judy, we support your decision, but most of all, we support YOU! We're here for you in any way we can help.

Heidi, how frustrating it must be for you with IH always changing his mind about departure dates and return dates. Hopefully you will get at least a few quiet days!

MizT, great news that the warm pool may have shown some benefits! I hope the doctor appointment went well! Good luck finding a doctor closer to your new home when you decide to search!

Suzy, I hope your school days go well! Congratulations on post #22222!

Theresa, I'm glad you had a pleasant weather day before the colder temperatures hit. We have had similar, actually reached about 68* F yesterday, but dropped to 50's today and continuing to fall, with snow possible by the end of the week.

Welcome to SA, Hawkmoon!

Tami, you have a busy week! Enjoy chaperoning the trip to Legoland! Good luck with preparations for Hannukah! (I forgot how you spell it.)

Hi, Rolanda! How frustrating to deal with less reliable internet service! Hopefully that will improved sooner, rather than later.

Cyn, thanks for sharing Rolanda's information!

Midge, I hope your S's car didn't sustain a lot of damage! So sorry the zombie clothes have delayed the return of the car! As for your D going to the music festival, of course you worry! Which of us wouldn't? Your aunt/great aunt/second Mum sounds like a wonderful and colorful woman! What a great experience to have stayed with her while you were in business college!

It's way past time for me to get to bed. Sending lots and lots of {{{{{{ H U G S }}}}}}, prayers, positive thoughts and healing vibes for all!
