MORNING SUDOKULAND
coffee and other warm beverages now available, come have a cup with me.
Today is going to be another beautiful fall day, starting out just a bit nippy, but sunny, clear and will warm to spring time temp of mid 70's today, lovely weather. I do need to get me outside today to enjoy this! Hope you are enjoying your weather and whatever you have left of this Sunday in November.

Good morning all! I've been too sick and miserable to read or post. Thanks for all of the suggestions for my horrible sore throat. Unfortunately, I couldn't use them. We don't really have alcohol here and I couldn't use any citric remedies that I would normally use because I didn't know if the sore throat was caused by the heartburn. Now, after a week of no sleep, the sore throat is gone, but I have a terrible cold and can't do anything because it is in my head and chest.
Now that I've got my whining out of the way... it is cold here this morning, 30F, but sunny with blue sky. News of the week, Brendan finally got a chance to play (in the quaterfinals of the Eastern College playoffs of all games) and he scored a goal! Yeah! The won the semifinals yesterday (he didn't get to play) and the finals are this afternoon. On the bright side, he has the highest percentage of playing time/goals scored and also the highest percentage for goals scored/shots on goal. Hopefully next year will be much better or I think he will transfer out of there. D#2 also scored a goal in her last game, her second goal! Unfortunately, I missed both. I hate missing anything! S#2 scored a goal in his indoor soccer tournament. He booted it from the edge of the field at the quarter mark as a pass for someone to head it and it went right into the upper 90. His team won the tournament. D#1 was accepted into the International Studies program at BC. The major only accepts 70 students (which I don't understand) Two of her friends did not get in. One had to be checked into a mental hospital because he was already depressed and the international program was the only thing he wanted to do. The other guy is not in great shape either because all of the courses he took as a freshman were in preparation of the international major. I don't know why they just don't let whoever wants to make that their major into the program.
Now that I have babled on, I need to go rest!
Have a great day!

Stella, what an awful cold. I hope you are on the mend now. The products of your soccer factory seem to be doing well, however. Congratulations to all! Colleges are offering more majors now, and many times they have to be limited because of the number of faculty who can teach upper level courses in that area. If the college were to expand that program by one more class (35), the whole university would have to expand exponentially to be able to maintain that major. It is one of those cold, cruel facts of life -- just like the fact about there being other colleges.
Nobody is going to say, "You should have..." and "...gone to the doctor." in the same sentence but me (because I'm bossy and I belabor the obvious often). You could have strep throat or worse. Nonetheless, rest, juice, rest and juice. A little chicken soup couldn't hurt -- if you can find a little chicken. Take care. We can't loose you. Who would drive?

ROLANDA, you need to check back in here, now that you are home. I know, another cold, boy are we passing those terrible things through cyber space?? Wash your hands, disenfect your keyboards and cover you r cough!
STELLA, I do hope you get better soon. with that cold going tohear and throat, I would say sore throat was from the cold, more than gastric reflux.

Although it will be celebrated here tomorrow, today is the real Veteran's Day. The sacrifices of those men and women who served have made them deserving of our honor every day.

Sorry to hear about all the colds and sore throats. I know I felt as though mine would never go away and when it got into my chest went to the doc ASAP. But it did go after all!May all that coughing and sneezing and rasping throats not only clear away but leave you feeling bright and clean inside and out.

MORNING SUDOKULAND
Coffee pot is on, other drinkies available, drop in for a cup!
A cool start to another beautiful warm day, this is a bit warm for November 12. today is veterans day parade in Birmingham. They have one of the oldest and largest parades for Vetrans day, I remember going as a child and taking my children also. Been standing there in heavy winter clothes and hunting the SUNNY side of the street too! Today should be a lovely 70 degrees for the parade, nice for those marching.

We didn't get one but Armadale did. I visited an old couple in the pm and they had their heater on! It turns out they couldn't read the small writing on the panel so they just hoped for the best. It was roasting.

Forgot to add, we sat outside whilst the house cooled down, there was a lovely cool breeze, this would have been quite late, around six.

It must be very uncomfortable for you especially with a head cold! How about taking the caravan down to just south of Freo? Laze on the beach.
