Hi everyone. Been out of touch the last few days due to someone with sticky fingers. Last Thursday night someone actually came up our driveway and stole the spare tire off of my hubby's pickup.
Been spending my time talking to the police, insurance company, getting estimates for replacement and looking for a lock that will fit the bumper. We've given up on that and have decided to attach a steel cable to the undercarrage and put a channel lock on it. Got to admit I haven't had too many charitable thoughts about the thief. Oh well, such is life.

Sorry to hear so many of you are under the weather. Should I start wearing gloves and a mask? But then, you probably wouldn't recognize me.

Hot tea, hot chocolate, whatever your hearts desire, will be served up with the coffee, on the flip side.
Nighty night now.

Yesterday morning, I had a ringing in my ears and thought I was getting tinnitus.
Bent over to turn on the tv, instead of using the remote, and it got louder. So, started listening to the tv, muted, and the vcr that sits above the tv.
Unplugged the vcr, still ringing. Opened up the door to the entertainment unit and it was really loud. It was coming from our 2nd vcr that is real old (over 20 yrs.). Unplugged it and ringing gone.

I'd love to have a clothes line. I used to use the neighbor's, but quit because there's a brewery a couple miles up the road and the clothes come in smelling like hops on a hot day.

That'd be right. Missed you by () much! Don't start yawning everybody, I still have a few hours till bed time.
Starting to warm up here though not yet as HOT as Perth, thankfully. Was outside doing some gardening and when I came inside to show something to my girlfriend, I happened to look in the mirror and saw that I got sunburnt! It'll be a bit sore for a couple of days but luckily I have olive skin so when the stingoes, the tan comes! Normally I don't stay in the sun long enough to colour up these days and it didn't feel too hot or I wouldn't have been there so long today.

Good morning all! It's warmer this morning (44F) by about 14 degrees than it has been the last couple of mornings (30F). Wow, that is really warm in Perth for Spring! We don't even get that warm in the middle of summer! It's supposed to get cold enough this weekend for mixed precipitation. Just in time for picking up the kids for the Thanksgiving holiday break!

Do you ever start to do something and then discover something else and get distracted by that and then discover something else and get distracted by that and so on and so forth? I moved some boxes so we could get the big air conditioner out of the window a couple of weeks ago. While I was sick, I was looking for something and checked to see what was in the boxes. D#1's baby book was there (I thought it was in her memory box) and when I looked in it I saw that her birthday and school pictures were missing. Since I organized all of her pictures for her graduation last year, I figured I could just get them and put them in her book. Her school pictures were missing. When I searched for the portraits, I found S#1's portraits(which I had started to organized for his graduation this year but, working backwards, I only got to when he was 10.). I figured I should put them in his memory box before I forgot. In his memory box was his baby book, which of course I looked in and it didn't have any pictures in it! So I thought, before I forget again, that I should at least put his first pictures in it, birth, first Halloween, first Christmas, first birthday. The first couple of months were there, but then after that, for two years, all of the pictures were missing. I pulled out all of the photo albums, boxes of photos and negatives, and I found a few, but not all of them. Which leads me to believe that I found some of the duplicates (I always got two prints/photo) but not the originals nor the negatives. I always organize my pictures by labeling the back of them, including the negative number, from the beginning of a year to the end of a year. So now I have pictures everywhere, and I thought this would be something simple I could do while lying on the couch recuperating! The kids start coming home on Saturday and all that hubby can say is, not again! I hope I will find them today!

Hi everyone, I've been a bit slack lately and haven't dropped in for a visit, so here I am. It is a lovely warm day here, much nicer than the cold of last week, but luckily not as hot as Perth.

We went camping on the weekend with 2 other couples and had a great time. The weather was perfect, which was good because on Friday night it poured with rain and we didn't think we would be able to go. But I even managed to go in the water, it was so nice.

Now its my turn to talk to myself. I'm having one of my 'off' days which means I can't do much other than lie on the bed and snooze. Can't get sunburnt down here Gail cos its overcast. Merlin is complaining because I won't get up and let him outside where the rabbits are enjoying the garden.

Becky, so glad the ringing in your ears was not tinnitus. I've had it now for nearly 30 years and it is always worse on my 'off' days. One specialist said one solution is to get drunk because (1) you don't care any more and (2) the dehydration from alcohol can relieve the pressure in the inner ear.
