Well it's been an extremely long day and I have no energy left. Didn't go to bed until 2am because finishing up the figures of the nativity. Then left this morning at 9am to pick up D#2 in Boston. The storm came in earlier than expected. Only stopped for 20 minutes to get all of her stuff in the car, then headed back home. Didn't get home until 6pm! As soon as I got on the highway, the blizzard hit. It was a whiteout all the way home and the plows couldn't keep up with it. You couldn't even see where the lanes were. Almost 9 harrowing hours of driving, so I'm going to lay down now. Hope everyone else's day goes better!

Stella, glad to hear that you made it home safe and sound. Now you have help in getting all the decorations done.

We only got rain from that storm, but this weekend is supposed to be a loo-loo.

Nobody has been around here for awhile. You must all be exhausted after yesterdays marathon effort on easy.

Good morning all! Still recovering from the long trek yesterday. If anyone was looking for that "calendar" that didn't get it, let me know. Becky, did you get it ok? I was at the beginning of that marathon session on Easy the other day, but then I was busy trying to get everything done. I wonder if that is a record for the number of posts!
Now trying to catch up again! But at least the lights are on the tree and it can be decorated now!
Liked your tree vDV!

HI June, love your Christmas Tree Avatar! Yep, all that typing wore my fingers to the bone, had to rest them remainder of the day!

Stella, glad you made it home safe, what a terrible trip for you! Now I know why I live in the South! When it snows like that down here, we hibernate till it MELTS, and that is about once in every century we get that kind of blizzard snow! I have had my blizzard, and once was enough!

, y'all!

OK. I'm going to stick my neck out again. I know the pictures repeat, but has there been a repetition of the puzzles lately? Dejavu is a suburb of Ruby, but I don't live there.

Hi Ruby! I haven't had time to do the puzzles lately so I don't know if they're repeating. I'm sure it's possible. I don't know why the pictures repeat though. So many have been submitted, there shouldn't be any repeats!

D#2 and I went to the dentist for the 6 mth cleaning. While she was in, I was sitting in the reception area and the receptionist was returning phone calls they got on Thursday when they were closed. One of the conversations was so illogical to me, that I have to run it by you. She called back a woman and said that she had left a message on Thursday because her filling had fallen out. She asked if she was in pain, then said it was too late today (12:30) to make an emergency appointment for today. Then I assume the woman asked for an appointment on Monday because the receptionist told her she could not make an emergency appointment for Monday until Monday and that she would have to call back Monday morning first thing. That made no sense to me. The woman had called on Thursday and the office didn't get back to her until Friday afternoon. If they have a certain number of emergency spots in a day, shouldn't she put her in one of those spots now instead of taking the chance that she might not get through on Monday? The conversation made no sense to me!

No, Stella, it doesn't make sense ... until you realize that the doctor's/dentist's office is now run for the convenience of the receptionist AND that he/she is not doing that job because of his/her compassion for mankind but so that the forms can be filled out correctly to get your insurance -- before 4:00.

Stella, batten down the hatches. A bad storm is supposed to hit here this weekend and the map looks like you're in for about a foot of snow later on.

As for your question, if I was that woman I'd tell the dentist about it. His reaction would determine whether or not it was time for a new one. My dentist retired and the new guy needs to learn patient relations. After one visit each, we switched. They need to realize that even tho they have a degree, it's still all about customer relations. For the amount of money they charge, I demand quality service and to have my questions answered.
