Gail, I make mashed taters, gravy and a veggie when I make meatloaf.
I thought I would suggest goulash, crab or salmon cakes and stuffed pork chops.

Stella, hope your MIL joan has a lovely birthday.
Gail, you are organised. I see what takes my fancy when I am shopping or what is on special and that is what we have for the week. I also always have enough food in the house to last a couple more weeks if I did not shop (Except for perishables). That comes from growing up away from shops. It was good when the family were small and if I was short of money for that week we still had plenty of food.

for the birthday wishes.
Not sure where we are going for dinner. I may decide to have a Chinese take away or may just go to a local pub for a meal. Decisions decisions.
I've just arrived back in from a night out with friends, so I'm off to bed now and will decide later what to do on my birthday
again.

Last night's meal for us - beef rib roast at one of the local clubs. d1 is turning 15 this week
and is a serious carnivore so we took her for this roast as it tastes a lot like prime rib. Much more like the prime rib we're used to than that at Hog's thingamy. We chose to celebrate over the weekend as hubby won't be home on her actual birthday.

Thank you Ruby, she is a real sweetie. As we speak, I am again typing left-handed because I wouldn't want to disturb her while she is sleeping, draped over my right arm!
Thanks Suzy, I am going with the smashed tators. With that, we always have peas and corn. I think I will make up a brown onion gravy to go with the meatloaf, I always do if I make rissoles. Cheers Becky.

SA3ers
Today for brunch we had waffles, mmmmmm!
The reason I do the menu is because I used to dread the 'what am I going to make tonight' thingy! This way, it gets the whole tribe involved, they can make suggestions and it doesn't fall solely on me every single
day!

Meant to mention also, had the Lamb Shanks last night. This was a receep from Jenni's hubby Francois. They were magnificent, I highly recommend them. The meat was melt-in-the-mouth!
I am going to pop over to Jenni's page to leave a note. I hope she sees it. I miss her tewwibly. She must be extremely busy. It has been so long-
