Good to see MizT. on Easy this morning. Hope that means she feels better.

I'm going to do Mamacita's puzzle now. If I'm not back in three days send out a search party. (A St. Bernard with brandy would be nice.)

OOOPS, I thought I had posted HERE also, Ruby. I guess I was mistaken. spent all my computer time this morning solving jigsaws. I need to count how many we do have on this site. Is it nine? or Ten? Some of them were very pretty today.

I will check back in later, hubby is wanting to eat again, huumm, I fed him once today already.

SA3ers.
This is my morning 'I'm not here' post!
Sounds like a great weekend Brenda. Did you buy anything at the craft fair? I love a good fair.
Today is a thoroughly exciting day for me...I get to clean up the disaster area that is my kitchen after a weekend with everyone home. YAY! Now you know why I am here!!! Better go I suppose, it's not going to do itself.

Hi SA3ers...Hope all is going well where ever you are. Gail, I'm faced with the prospects of doing the same chore tomorrow...and I'm already dreading it. I don't have an out though since I'm having a board meeting here, and won't have them talking about me behind my back...at least they won't have an excuse to say I don't keep my home up....lol.

Ruby...Glad you and Rudy are making progress. BTW...Did you forget there is no such animal as a 'cheap' anything today. The initial cost may be minimal....but you pay and you pay....Sully and I keep saying that we want to be house pets in our next life.....
How'd you make out with the quiz?...I can't get past #59.....seems many are stuck there.

Hello, Everyone! I'm late getting here, as usual. I hope you have all had a great day/evening/night! It's good to hear that Rudy is "coming along" somewhat, Ruby! MizTricia, I hope you are feeling better! Do you also go to the jigsaw page for those 3 each day? Brenda, it sounds like you have had an enjoyable birthday-weekend! Gail and Mamacita, my kitchen needs a good cleaning, too. Luckily, no one will be coming in to check on it in the next few days. Mamacita, I have tried to puzzles on your widget, but my pooter gets me hung up on #3. Congratulations for getting so far! I finally gave up and went to the "freerice" site to improve my vocabulary. I "donated" over 9000 grains of rice.

I'm sorry I didn't mention everyone by name. Lately, I've just been doing one long post, rather than individual, as I think others have been doing. That's part of the reason we aren't accumulating comments as fast as we did during the competition. Many of those comments (especially toward the end) were quite short!

Hi All,
Just been out to lunch with MIL. We went to a restaurant overlooking part of the Harbour then drove around some old homes on the forshore of the Harbour, through the city to see the QE2 (we did not see the Queen Victoria yesterday) on her last trip into Sydney. A lovely day out. Like others I went out before cleaning up all the kitchen after having visitors on the weekend so will have to go and do it now!!

I looked at Mamacita's quiz and decided I would get hooked and I had many other jobs that I really should be doing. I was very good and resisted the temptation

Good morning all! Have been sick for the last few days. Hope everyone is well and getting all of their kitchens cleaned! Brenda, glad you had a lovely birthday weekend! I haven't been to a crafts fair in ages. I love to go and look at all of the stuff!
Mama, I've tried and tried, but I can't get past #5!! I know the trick is to go around the outside, but it never works. Is there another trick I'm missing?
The TV next to the computer died, so no more watching tv and posting at the same time. Lots of things to catch up on. Haven't done laundry in a week!
Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks June! Still not 100% because after all of that resting in bed, my back is out of alignment. But I can at least function.
Max is back home. Today was supposed to be the first day back at school after winter break. The calendar said so, the website said so, but Max said he thought there was no school today. Well, I didn't think that was possible since they had a half day before vacation and two or three Mondays before that were snow days or a holiday, so I just thought he got it mixed up. When he wouldn't call his friend to confirm it, I thought for sure he got it mixed up! Hubby called (he drops Max off on his way to work) and said nobody was at the school! Oops! Looks like he had no school and hubby is mad as a hatter. It's a half hour drive back and then he'll hit rush hour going back down to work. He is not a happy camper! I'm going to call the school tomorrow and tell them that if they decide to give an extra day off, they've got to let the parents know and at least update their website!

SUDOKULAND! I Imagine it is time for coffee, tea and chocolate somewhere in our readership.

I slept in this morning, sleeping through my early morning computer time. I am getting much better at sleeping in, about time!

Weird weather here in our forecast. Today forecast high is 69*F (21 C) , and it is already 50 ( 10 C). Tomorrow the high for day will probably be midnight, at 49 (10 C) and dropping , with SNOW FLURRIES forecast for tomorrow. That plus severe T storms this afternoon and tonight, not again! Well, the rain is nice, it is the SEVERE part I do not like. Severe T storms are the ones that you have to watch, they can drop a tornado out of nowhere. It is not fun when we have to watch weather OVERNIGHT, kind of gets in the way of sleep. We have on occasion slept in the dome, but I am not overly fond of a blow up bed! No room yet to keep a REAL bed out there, maybe someday soon. IF he can get our master bedroom dome insulated, I could just get a real bed for there and leave it up!

OK, I am off to accomplish something, I must wash some clothes today. since we might have rain later, will put on clothes hangers and hang on the shower rod in the bath, they will dry eventually. small stuff can go into the dryer. I do try not to use that appliance, but osmetimes it is just soo much easier!

Hugs to all

Hi, I found Mama's quiz. It is one I have seen before and is addictive I had to make myself leave it alone. No 5 you press the righthand button then go off the image and go round to the left hand button.
I'm with you Stella, our school doesn't up date calendar or let parents know about some occasional days. It is so infuriating, fortunately Em only has a 15 minute walk to school so doesn't spoil the day. It actually makes her get up earlier.
Ruby I have been playing fre rice for months now but haven't been on there for a few weeks. I will have a go later.

Pupil free days have so far been easy to predict here - the first day of the first 3 terms. d1 has had an extra day off for the last couple of years as years 7, 11 and 12 start a day earlier than everyone else at her school. d2 has not been impressed, even when we tell her that her time will come.

MizT., sometimes I put what I am going to wear into the dryer to warm it right before I put it on. Not very thrifty, but what of life's luxuries are?

Hi Everyone...hope you are having a great day or night where you are. Its been really nice today but changes are in store for tomorrow.
Ruby and Gail...if you are going outside the box and not touching the blue...that's right, but if your adobe flash isn't the latest update it won't support all of the quiz...when I upgraded all went well. Some one mentioned that they changed over to the foxfire browser and it worked for them...let me know if this is any help to getting past it.

Brenda glad you were smart enough not to get hooked like many of us on this quiz...but I'm having fun.
vdV...thanks for the tip...I knew what to do,but not how to go fast enough to keep from being blown up...I'm still trying. Congratulations on getting to 65...that's the third highest score reported so far. Rosemary had 80 and GMO was at 70.

June, I see that you also walked away from temptation....good onya!
Well I got my kitchen done and the bathrooms too..plus the vacuuming....boy I don't know when I've worked so hard straight through. I worked up such a sweat, that I stared coming out of my clothes...but I did it and my house is looking good and I'm about to break my arm patting myself on the back....lol. Almost time to eat dinner but I have a little time to try my hand at the quiz again......

Hi everyone. I was going to post a comment Friday evening but got sidetracked by Mama's quiz. Gumball and I together got past 70, can't remember what number. Haven't really had a chance to get back here since. No, not because the quiz has kept me away, just life in general.
I hope everyone is doing well. Take care.

Weather today changed, still no T storms, now they will come overnight. That is the kind I really do not like! But my clothes did dry nicely on the line, and Al brought them in for me, an added bonus.

I will warm towels for using after shower or clothes to put on, when it is very cold, by hanging them where the forced air heat vent will send out warm air. happens to be one just outaide the laundry pantry. with pantry door open, the over the door hanger is directly above the floor vent, works for me, luxury at no eztra monetary cost. i just have to remember to hang them there.

A funny story about the vent. Laundry pantry is in one corner of my eat in kitchen, across from the table. As I said, a floor vent right outside door. We had central AC till the unit could not be repaired again, so in summer cool air blew from the vent. Kitty found that to be a very cool place, and would come in from the hot outdoors, to plop down ON THE VENT. Now, the funny thing is, she still does, even though AC now comes from window units. silly kitty, but usually a fan is blowing in that general area, so maybe not so silly after all. We do laugh at her for hunting the vent, and know when she coniders it hot outside hehe.

Hi, June, Gail, vdV, Brenda, Ruby, Stella, MizTricia, Suzy, Mamacita, and Rena! Because I could not get past #5 on Mamacita's quiz widget, I was saved from one addiction. On the other hand, I may have become addicted to freerice.com, which I was able to rationalize because it is doing good for others. Stella and MizTricia, I hope you are both feeling better!
