Gday Julie.
About Gath's latest decree, I for one wont miss the numerous anonymous posts that just seem to go on and on ad infinitum. If you were not in with 'the joke', it became very boring and being a non-intellectual, they went straight over my head. Others seemed to find them witty and amusing, I couldn't see it myself. Just seemed to clog up the easy page.

Knowing that others visit and read these pages, I know that last post is going to come back and haunt me!

Hi Gail et al. I was trying to decide if I was extremely thick or just terribly dull, because I, too, did not get in on "the joke". I'm glad to know, at least, I'm not alone. I will miss some such as Judy from San Diego, HalT from SC, etc, but they can always become free members. Is there a big reason for non-membership that I just don't quite understand as well?
I do sometimes catch up and understand; it just takes me awhile.

Good morning all! I haven't been here much so I didn't know about the posts. I don't know why the regulars don't become free members, but I guess they have their reasons. I'll miss some of the regulars. I won't miss the anonymous jokes though because I too didn't get them (my funny bone is very weak) but I think many of those "anonymous" posts were made by members. I think the majority of nonmembers just made innocuous posts.(time, weather, Maen)
Julie, I did go on freerice and so did Max. I only had time to do it once and got about 900. Max went up to 1600.

WELL, Looks like I missed the latest decree and whatever trigered it. I often felt I was on the outside looking in, with the " inside jokes" going around. One reason I always prefered to be here on SA, we are more open and if someone says something we do not get, we go HUH? and they clue us in. So, Gail, if you are haunted by your words, guess I will be also.

Our "weather" came through after 3:30 am. That is when I woke for my nightly strole and did a computer and TV check, yep, storm almost on us. wegot dressed, got kitties , and went to dome. this time, most damage in ALABAMA was from straight line winds, and just north of us, many trees down and power outages. we were fine, not storms of the severe type here, just rain.

Now, it is turning colder and blustery. It is also still cloudy, unusual. the norm, after a front passes, we get crystal clear skies and sunshine with our cold. I much prefer cold with sunshine!

Gail, I wouldn't worry too much about admitting you don't 'get' the 'inside jokes' I will admit I don't always get them either.
MizT hope your hip is getting better, the weather you are getting will not be helping with the arthritis.
I have admitted defeat with my garden this year, I have decided to get someone in to do the tidying up after winter, and to dig the area I want to make into a vegetable garden (it is a fenced of section where we used to keep the rabbits)

Does anyone know what the comments were yesterday that caused the change? The only thing I gleaned from one of Angie/WI said was something about Ian singing the ABC's. Were the comments just annoying, or bad?

Good morning, y'all.
I still can't get past no.5 on Mamacita's quiz. Do you have to load it onto your computer?
Some of the posting has been a headache for Gath, and he had let that be known. So they were warned.
Brenda, that ought to be a fertile little garden patch.

Question: Does this restriction mean that you can't have a nonmember post on your page? So if my sister wanted to post a message on my page, she couldn't? I wonder if the restriction could be limited to the main puzzle pages only, then.

Stella, To find out, I guess you would have to try comming to the site without signing in, and see if you could post on a page. Maybe your sister might have to sign up for a free membership, if she would want to post to your page. but why would she want to post?

Hi everyone. Things are quieting down here at the homestead, but looks like I missed the latest brouhaha.

Got to admit, I haven't even looked at the comments on easy since Christmas. Had trouble just finding the time to work the puzzles.

Gail, don't worry about it. You have a right to your opinion. I'm sure many share it.

In a couple of weeks, our oldest nephew's fiance is having a bridal shower. I got her towel sets and a plastic storage container (tote). I lined the container with tissue paper to hide the contents and wrapped a ribbon and bow around it. My question, should I also wrap the container? Mind you it's big.

Scrubbed the bathroom down yesterday, including ceiling and walls, and was a little stiff today.

I was thinking that maybe we should all put our heads together and come up with a self-cleaning house. We could patent it and become millionaires.

MizT Your weather sure headed this way fast. No bad storms, just some rain, and now it's starting to get colder than it's probably been all winter.
Hello SA3r's. Sorry it's been so long since I've been here, but I've basically just been doing the puzzles and behaving myself. (As best I can at least!). Hope everyone is doing well.
Stella, hope you're feeling better; MizT sorry the arthritis is being such a bother for you--maybe it will ease up a little as the weather passes?
Sorry if I've missed any important milestones i.e. b'days, anniversaries, births, etc. If I have it's not because I haven't been thinking about y'all; I just rarely get here before 1:00am any more.
Well, I'll be hanging out as I'm hanging around and will check in periodically. Don't want to make a pest of myself.

Gail your menus always make my mouth water, unfortunately it is too early in the day to think about that meal.
We had an earthquake here in the UK during the night. It was the largest registered for UK in 25 years and measured 5.3 on the Rickter scale. The epicentre was about 100 miles away from us. We were woken by one tremor which shook the house, causing doors to rattle but only lasted seconds.
there has been damage to property closer to the centre but nothing serious.

Brenda.. Glad to hear you are safe..
One of the major ones here in Perth, the Meckering Earthquake, 5.9 on the Rickter Scale, about 130ks east of Perth, 14th October 1968 approx 11.00am..
it was a Monday Public Holiday, I was rearranging my bedroom at the time.. mum was doing the laundry, Dad and my brother were doing ? cant remember.
and I became an Aunt that day.. my Nephew was born in the afternoon.

Hi Rolanda, we didn't know what was happening as it woke us up. It was 01:00 this morning. At first I thought it was Callie leaning against the door scratching her ear, it wasn't till the radio alarm woke us this morning with the news. It had never crossed my mind that it could have been an earthquake.

My Brother and his wife got back from Perth last week. He had been bitten badly by what someone suggested were sandflies. He at first thought it was mosquitos but realised that he hadn't seen anything flying around. The one thing he complained about was that his time over there went by too quickly. Normally he has 6 weeks over Xmas, but his wife couldn't get that amount of time off work. they had to settle for three weeks.

Good morning all! Lots of snow! Very wet and heavy so it is hard to tell how much, but around 10 inches. All the schools have a 2 hour delay this morning, except Max's, his is closed. He's sleeping in right now and he'll be thrilled when he wakes up!
