Hello SA3'ers....Just checking in to say hello. Glad the weather has not taken a complete toll on everyone. As you say goodbye to the Summer season in Australia, I hope the fall will bring a cool down to comfortable temps to be enjoyed, and on this side of the world, we look forward to Spring, and a gradual warming to comfortable temps, allowing record cold and snow to become a memory. I'm off to play games...have a great night or day.

Hi all. Finally made it back. Would've posted last night, but I got stuck to one spot. Guess I should've taken Rolanda's advice.

Mamacita, we're supposed to get a heat wave of 30 F (1 C) tomorrow. So, you should be getting a little warmer soon. Today, no snow and a high of 21 F (-6 C). Come on spring.

This is new one on me. The insurance company of the lady who hit me back in September, and has fought and finally settled 2 weeks ago with my company, sent me a letter asking us to switch to them. What nerve.

Good morning all! Arctic freeze this morning, brrrr -8*F(-22C)! I don't even know what the windchill is! We're supposed to get another snow storm this evening, 8-12 inches! Maybe it will miss us! Trying to gather various items for Meghan so that hubby can bring it to her tomorrow when he goes to pick up Bryana. (If we don't get snowed in!) I tore apart their room looking for the work boots (which I never found) so now I have to put it back together!
I'm still trying to catch up on all of the laundry and cleaning I didn't do while I was sick. Good news though. Hubby was tell someone at work that our tv in the den just up and died. They had a couple of extra tvs that they were thinking of getting rid of, so they gave one to us! Now have a tv back next to the pooter! Yeah! Off to get a few things done before the changeover! Have a great day/night everyone!

Stella, now you can get your kids and boots together and watch TV. Nah.....never happens, does it? All six of you?
Glad you're unstuck, Becky. About the insurance ... computers don't carry a grudge.
Rolanda, have a good caravan trip.
MizT. must be having another lie-in.
Off to do the puzzles!

RUBY, you know me so well!
I had a restless night last night, but slept soundly from 2 AM till 8:30 AM. I deserved this sleep in today!
So, the coffee did not get made on time this morning, sorry. I will try to get my sleep back on schedule and resume my coffee making duties soonest.
It is warming today, in the low 50's, but it just seems damp and cold! hazy, cloudy, and sprinkles of rain about. should be up to almost 70 by Sunday and Monday, then they have the S word for tuesday, snow flurries. NOW, I ask, how can it be 70*F on Monday and snow on tuesday? i do not think anywhing that falls will hang about, temp never goes below freezing fore warming back again, so says forecast. We shall see. I have awakeded to about 5 inches of " snow flurries" in the past when they just did not get forecast correct.

Weather prediction is hardly an exacting science, MizT. Have you noticed in the past few years the weather forecasters have begun to include the dire weather events no matter how remote the possibility? You would think they were afraid of being sued.

MizT, so far it is much less complicated to apply to Universities here, depending on the course (music for example can be more difficult). I have heard rumours about the possibility of starting a system similar to the US one, but so far it has only been rumours...

Hi Everyone...Can't hang around....lots to do once I've done the puzzles and jig saws, but I wanted all to know about an inspirational video on my page. It originally came to me as an email and I sent it to many folks, but wanted to share it with everyone. I tell a little more about it on easy, page 3 (I think). Hope you check it out at your earliest convience...I think its really worthwhile! Safe travel and good wishes for a great weekend to all.

Well, we had another 3 inches of snow from yesterday until this morning. That's about 12 inches in 3 or 4 days. We're up over 70 inches for the winter total SO FAR! As we know, winter is NOT over. We are ready for winter to go away. (At least our temperatures have been above 0* F for most of this week. Ruby, I'm not the one sending the cold towards you and MizTricia. I keep hearing it's "la Nina" to blame.

Hello all. I'm back! I think I'd better put in a word for weather forecasters since my son is one of them. They get teased a lot at parties, and by their parents. I went to visit him at work one day \and he was sitting at a large desk with 3 computer screens around him. The first had a map of OZ with lots of squiggly lines on it. The second had a table with lots of numbers in it. The thrid had the local surf report.

Yes, Ruby, I have noticed, but I had another thought about why they do this. It seems news, weather, all of it, is going for sensationalism, and they can get a bigger share of the market, get more viewers, if they make everything as sensational as possible. If they tell me severe weather is expected, I am going to watch the news for the 2 minutes of weather they scatter about the program. I hate "more later" that we hear so often. why not tell me ALL the weather, ALL the news now? while you have my attention?
Huumm, maybe I should climb down from my soap box now!

SUZY, YEEEESSSS, that one really gets me! Does not matter if I either must fast till your news program or risk killing myself and all my family by serving the tainted food, you must be sensational! You require my attendance during your regular news hour. AAAAAAAGH!!

Hi All...Glad to hear that those of you who saw the video felt the same way I did....I watched it with open mouth and chill bumps on my arms...Miz T, I didn't realize that the young lady only had one arm until the fellow came out and reached his arm toward her with his back to the audience....when I read more about them I knew I had to share.I'm glad C G was able to find the you tube for me. Hope all are having a great day/night doing what they want to do.
