WHERE IS EVERYONE?
What are you topsider USA folks doing for the holiday. We know Stella is gone, Soccer game for Brennan and then a visit to her Mom.
Becky, Cyndi, Ruby, any special plans for the holiday? Everyone else whose names I cannot recall at the moment??
senior moment.
Nothing exciting going on here. Hubby does not like to travel on the holiday weekends, and in fact will avoid going to the store or local errands on holidays if he can. We will probably grill Monday, might invite a neighborhood friend to come over.
HAPPY FATHERS DAY to our aussie member's spouses and fathers, and to vdV and other of our ausssie guy friends. Hope you have a good day on your Sunday.

Dino, how are your knees holding (you) up? I hope the swelling in down and you feel better. Last night I GoogleEarthed South Gippsland, Vic, Au, just to see what the satellite saw, and what did I find? There is a little Ruby, South Gippsland, Vic, Au! What a small, small world!

Hi Ruby. I've just been down the track, across the soft sand and onto the BEACH!!!! I needed my crutches to do it, and now need a good rest. Yes, there is a little farming village 'Ruby' not far away. I have a friend who lives there.

RUBY what i want to know, when you did google earth of South Gippsland, did you happen to find Dino walking on the beach?
DINO, congratulations on your accomplishment, walking on the sand! Hope you were able to sit on the beach a while and watch the ocean. Would love to join you, it has been far too long since I saw any ocean, or gulf. Was your pup chasing the sea gulls?

We have lots of feral cats, and camels, in the interior that could feed a lot of people if need arises

I didn't think it would catch on Mary. I cringe at the thought of people eating dogs in Korea and even horse meat in France eventhough they are supposed to be good.

"Cringe" doesn't begin to cover the feeling, Brenda.
Dino, MizT. wanted me to make some beached whale comment, I guess, but I'm not falling for it. I hope you got a little farther today on your excursion.

RUBY, I DID NOT! I thought with the crutches, if they are metal, you might have picked up some extra sparkle reflecting up. You are putting bad words in my mouth, shame shame
No thanks on Cat casserole, but if I were starving, well maybe. We do have ferral cats in the fields and woods around here. NOW< NOT MY KITTIES, well, again, if I were starving, maybe, one does not know what they might do if really and truely starving. We do eat venison, and we have squirrel in the trees, again IF . . . .I have eaten rabbit, liked it.
I know it was always roumored , when I was growing up, that the only establishment offering tamales used cat for the meat! "that is why they use such hot sauce on them, to cover up the taste" It was just a roumor.
Going to look at the cat recipe now.

My crutches are indeed metal. And I have lost weight, so while I might once have cringed at the thought of a beached whale, I would look more like a beached seal these days. however, since there are lots of seals around, if you see one it is not necessarily me.

It was part of a bush tucker competition so ingredients sourced from the outback, you could always experiment with local ingredients!

Many years ago in Ipswich England it was reported that a Chinese restaurant had been raided and 22 cats were found in the freezer!!! Locally we had a thriving Chinese Restaurant until an undertaker set up business in the office above, somehow that put people off their food!!
