I'm plugging centipede tomorrow. It's probably too late, but I'm doing it anyway. There is construction going on nearby, and the big, heavy trucks are bursting the water lines beneath the road. They drive the pipe under the roadbed, but they dig up your yard.

Mary, what an unusual name for a wind. Is there a story to that name? It is good to have a sea breeze in the summer. My daughter lives in California, and the weather forecast for there is always, " on the coast, 76 to 80 today, and inland at ____ 85, to 90, and out near the desert, 99-110. " a really big difference depending how far from the coast you are.

RUBY, looks like if the utility co messed up your yard, they would have to repair it! Can ypu put in your plugs and then over seed it with winter rye? that would hold the soil this winter and maybe the centipede will take rot enough to survive.

My puter and the one in the house were turned off, and all of them were on surge protectors. Lightning came in through the phone wires. It came from somewhere between the other 2 computers

Mary, living less than half a mile from the shore must be nice. Do you go to the beach often? Do your relatives want to spend vacations with you?

My brother's computer was hit through the phone wire. Even though it runs through a surge protector, I have rigged my modem line so that I can easily unplug it, too.

6kms is about 3 miles I think Ruby...it's about a ten minute drive. All rellies are here in Perth and most people live within 20kms of the coast (even Rolanda!!)

I had a VW Bug in high school that was brought from Germany by an individual. It registered miles, but had a decal that converted to km's.
