Does D# 2 drive Gail?

Did I miss everyone?

Up early this morning to get S#2 into a morning routine. He starts school tomorrow.

It must be quiet now Stella with only one son at home. I was lucky as D#1 drove herself to Uni (did board at times) about 2 hours from home amd D#2 went to Uni 10 minutes from home so we did not have all the travelling and getting them settled in. just looked at your time. Are you still on Daylight savings?

We are on daylight savings, or is this considered the real time. I can never remember. We switch again at the beginning of November. It is just after 7am here now.

I have a world time card which I keep near the pooter and it gives me an idea at what times others are posting. Also like looking up where people live. Helps me to make everyone seem like part of the "family"

We will change to daylight savings time last Sunday in October so about hte same time.

I am never sure if it is easier to keep flipping the pages back and forth or just keep making posts to see if anyone else is still about.

Sorry June, got distracted by S#2 who is looking for breakfast. He is perfectly capable of getting his own cereal, he is just lazy this morning! And no, I did not get it for him. Eggs, yes, cereal, no!

But now I am going to eat have have some tea. Catch you later if you are still up, or on the flip side!

June, about a 15 minute round trip, just in the next town.
Stella, no she doesn't have her licence as yet. She has her learner's permit and goes for her full license test on Oct 23rd (and I can't wait!)

Have not heard from D#2 since we left. I'm not sure if that is a good sign or bad.

We have a holiday here in Sydney because we have George W and other leaders in the city. The holiday is because everything is under security and hard for the average jo blow to get around. Because we are retired and do not need to go into the city does not mean much to us.

What an unusual reason for a holiday! I have not heard of this happening in other countries, or even here, for gatherings of dignitaries. I do know after some disasters, the first responders have asked that governors and president and congressmen NOT visit too son, cause they have rescue work to do and no time for securing an area for a visit. Imagine much the same thing. I hope you enjoy your holiday.

The plan for today was to motivate Hubby to sort out his wardrobe, paint it and put in the drawer inserts I bought before we went away. I did my side then!!! However he had a kidney stone yesterday and although the pain has subsided he is rather washed out. I might have to start the job without his help!!
Low on sympathy as he would not take an extra pain killer when I wanted him to yesterday.

Hi June and MizT! June, I hope your hubby feels better and is able to help you with the wardrobe. Lots of last minute stuff to get ready for the first day of school tomorrow. Hopefully, we'll get into a routine that will make things easier.

Yes, it is sad that such an extraodinary singer has passed away. He did lead a great life doing what he loved and is no longer suffering.
