Why would this next question be in the calendar. It is so easy it doesn't make sense why it is there.
Jane has twice as many brothers as she has sisters. Her brother Jim has one more sister than he has brothers. There are no more than eight in the family.
How many boys and girls in the family?

2 of each?

Yes, Ian you are right. But why was this question there. The answer seems so obvious to me, unlike most of the other questions. Perhaps it is more difficult for those people without siblings, or maybe I just don't see the problem because I have 2 boys and 2 girls.

Quiet day today!
Unscramble the letters in each "wedge" below, (a circle divided into 4 sections with a mini circle in the middle) then find the missing letter that completes each word. (The missing letter is the same for each word.)

MizT, hope you're feeling better. Don't worry about the housework. I'm sure daughter won't notice. Take care of yourself first.

Dino, glad to hear you're off the crutches. In a few weeks you'll be able to get rid of the walking stick and this will be all behind you.

There was a question a page or 2 back about being able to reach Gath. I think he left a message on Easy a day or so ago that he and Kym were on vacation this week. He had just fixed something, but would be away, I believe he said.

Hi, Stella, Ian, Andre, Mary, Lynda, and Becky! (I'm sorry, I forgot how to make your accent, Andre.)
Gail, you must be so proud of D#3 for her presentation! Hope D#2 is getting better!

I haven't had very much time to get to the computer. Let's just say the past two weeks or so weren't quite what we expected. Perhaps a little normalcy will return soon.
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. If you didn't have a beautiful day today, I hope we sent what we had on to you for tomorrow.

Yesterday is was muggy and in the low 80's. Today was cloudy, but in the low 70's. They're saying the rest of the week is to be more of the same. It's such a relief to have the windows open.
Did something "bad" happen to you?

Hubby and I had arranged to do a land tour in Europe (our first and probably only trip to Europe). Within about 7 hours of arriving at the first hotel, hubby was in the hospital with either bleeding ulcers, ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. They wanted him to stay in the hospital for another week as they awaited results of biopsies/tests. We had trip insurance, which made arrangements for our return trip home, so the hospital released him on the 4th day. No tour, no yummies in Vienna, no photos or even picture postcards. He had 2 meals of mashed potatoes & pureed carrots, and a breakfast of 2 slices of white bread while in the hospital. The bleeding stopped the morning of second day, so no longer "Emergency". He had 2 doctor appointments yesterday, a blood draw and another appointment today. There will be another colonoscopy and probably biopsy next week. Hubby feels reasonably well now, but since he had no symptoms before this, we're a little nervous about the whole situation, wondering if it will return without symptoms, and wondering what he should be eating.

Julie, sorry to hear. Keep thinking good thoughts. If it's any of those, he shouldn't eat dairy, nuts or really greasy foods.

Julie I hope your hubby is going to be okay, not a fun way to spend a vacation. Bummer you had to come home right away.

Thanks, Rena & Becky! I didn't mean for the explanation to be a downer. It's not what we had planned, but we feel fortunate that it didn't happen during the 9 1/2 hour flight or in one of the smaller and "less advanced" countries we would have been in later in the trip. As I said, he is really feeling much better. One of the doctors even suggested that it might have been a one-time event for which we might not ever really find a "cause." (Something like that happened about 4 years ago and he ended up having major surgery & a biopsy, part of which was sent to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. No cause was ever found.)
