We have had the cat for 11 years. Rubs around your legs but does not like to be picked up or nursed. Sleeps on the end of the bed in winter but does not like to come into the house until the lights are out. Although she has come in tonight. Ate her food just inside the front door! Sometimes she wants it outside, or in the kitchen (at about 3.30am) I think she wants me to go to bed as it is a bit cooler tonight.

June, that's funny that the cat wants you to go to bed!

Sorry, wasn't ignoring you. Hubby's home this week, etc.
If she isn't crying or "complaining," she's probably settling in ok. Hopefully they'll get it fixed and she'll be connected in no time.

June, at least she doesn't hurumph at you. When my insomnia was at it's peak, the dog would get up, look at me and snort. Then stomp off to the bedroom.

She is sitting on the floor beside me and meowing. Seldom gets on the bed before me and as I said generally after we have put the lights out! Stupid cat!!!!
Daughter brought it home after visiting her friends at the vet surgery back in 1996. We had just decided we enjoyed being animal free. I love animals and have always had one but now find it quite a tie when we go away. This one belongs to a place not a person.

June, what do you do with the cat when you go away? Does someone have to come by your house to feed her or does she go somewhere to stay?

Know what you mean. We haven't been away for more than a couple of days. It's hard to find someone who'll watch him. He's very friendly, but big and clumsy.

I have very good neighbours who feed the cat for me. As she basically lives outside (only comes in in the cooler weather it is not too much of a problem. If neighbours on one side are away the ones on the other side will also feed her, water garden, bring in mail etc. We all do it for each other.

The cat has now decided it does not like tonights dinner! Too bad! There is tinned food, dried food and milk!

My kids always watched the neighbors pets when they went away. One dog is deathly afraid of thunder and lightning and the kids would have to hold him (a huge, over-weight golden retriever) during the storm!

Daughter is visiting for a week. Her fianc e will only be here for a long weekend. New Job, no time off now, but when they bought tickets before he changed jobs. that is how it goes sometimes.

MizT - I would like to be down there with you to enjoy a cup of coffee outside! I love to drink my morning outside with the sun coming up. It is a great way to start the day!

It has warmed up here by about 10 degrees since I first got on here. It is now 55F and sunny. I thought it was going to get warm but now I hear that it won't get out of the 60's. Tomorrow is supposed to be back in the 70's.

When we go to Smuggler's in Vermont, we like to sit on the deck first thing in the morning and have my tea, their coffee, and enjoy the morning air!

We are suppose to get up to 75 today. Time will tell. It is too early to be this chilly!

Debby, are you one or two hours earlier than the east?

I keep getting interupted by the real world. Hubby just came to say th ewater will be off for an hour. Repairing something in the new poumbing that is leaking, and the glue has to dry an hour. I had to get a bit of water saved in case I need it.

while I was there, washed up a few dishes. If you cannot wash dishes in a tea cup of cold water, then you have never been camping heheh

Hi Brenda! It is a gorgeous day out today! It just reached 70F and the sky is that perfect blue. You can't get much better!

MizT, I didn't know if you would see my message on Easy so I decided to post it here instead. I am laughing so hard there are tears rolling down my face. Your squirrel story was hysterical!! I don't know if it is true, but I have encountered two squirrels like that, both the authorities thought were rabid. One at a playground when my kids were little (they still remember it and are afraid of squirrels) and the other in my own garage, trying to attack us as we got out of the van (kids are still also traumatized from that!). The animal control guy had to come to my house and beat it over the head with a shovel. We had been held hostage in our van by the squirrel!

STELLA, glad you got a good laugh. My sides were hurting when I finished reading that! I just had to share.

I got the X instead of photos and graphics a lot yesterday and today, and then later the photos come back. Maybe my peaches will return. I can do without the graphics as long as I get the words!

Good evening all! Just called my sister to see if there was any news regarding her soon-to-be grandchild. None yet. My niece was due on the 8th but this is her first, so she is bound to be late.
