My angel children have given me their colds. I am fighting a nasty headache - theirs have gone - and I am estimating a maximum of 2 minutes is going by in between people just having to tell me something exciting... aaaahhhhh!

VDV that was some trip you took and you did so much for so little money.
I must be over working my sucky thing as the ground floor of my huse has to be done 2 or 3 times a week, but that comes with having two dogs and fitted carpets. I love my dyson and don't find it too heavy.
Hope the graduation ceremony went well Rolanda.
Gail pleased to hear that things are getting back to some sort of normal, well done on the sorting out of your bedroom. We have got to start on the garage, but need to have some dry weather before we start as things need to be dragged outside.

My daughter and I did a 'Gail' yesterday, lunch was lovely but better still was that we went to a jewellers and I chose the mount for the Tanzanite Richard bought for me when we were in Florida. I went with a couple of ideas on the type of mount I wanted but came away having chosen something completely different. I have to wait 2 weeks for the pendant to be made, but will post a photo when I get it. Will have to start saving for a 18ct white gold chain to wear it on. I will put a photo of the unmounted gem on my page for those who don't use FB.

Good Maen everyone! I got up WAY too early this morning, insomnia has reared it's ugly head again.
vdV: is your trip business or pleasure?
Brenda: I sometimes find the dyson heavy, but I have 3 floors to use the sucky thing on, so I sometimes skip the basement (where my office is). I had a hoover and found it didn't get much of the pet hair. The first time I used the dyson I had to empty the dirt cup 3 times!!! I wonder if the hoover ever picked up anything.

We're making major progress in cutting up and removing that old fallen oak. About all that's left is the trunk, now. I'm concerned that my tractor may not be able to drag it. It's extremely heavy, and the ground is thawing. We've got mud again.

Put something under it??? It's about 40 feet long and averages 3 1/2 feet across. I can't lift it a millimeter to slide anything under it! Plus, it's frozen to the ground.

Someone suggested that maybe there was a timber merchant around who may just want that sort of wood. It would cost a fortune over here to buy that type of timber.

Tanzanite is a very interesting gem, and as an investment it should increase in value as they say that it will be mined out within 10 years. I bought it because I fell in love with the colour of the stone. I couldn't afford the one I really wanted

Brenda... no timber merchant wants it. I've asked. Too much of it was already dead and they only want green wood.

Heidi, that's a big tree. I am not surprised you were sad to lose it.

Bugger Broni!
Do you ever as a parent have to bite your tongue so you don't say 'I told you so'? Ebob tends to hang out with kids who don't have the same type of long term goals that she has. One of them is now throwing tantrums because Ebob's extra subjects means she can't hang out with her as much, and because another of their mutual friends is looking into leaving school and enlisting in the army. They are 'ditching' her. I bit my tongue and all I said was 'that's not reasonable'...

I've taken Ebob to school and mailed some puzzle books to Mum. They won't guarantee overnight to the hospital - it seems we can't get overnight mail to anywhere but Sydney - wonder why they call it that then! Ally is still asleep - every part of her aches...

Good morning lovely SA people.
Suzy - I take it you mean that even those yellow overnight satchels won't go 'overnight' from your town to Bendigo. It's typical - if you don't live in a state capital city, the powers that be don't care. Best wishes continue for your Mum's recovery.
I'm off to see my Mum in about an hour. These days she spends her days (and nights) in front of the TV, which is hilarious for a woman who watched very little TV normally. I found her watching The View followed by Ellen DeGeneris - two shows she would never have watched once.
The ad up in the links section of this page (top right) for me shows 'Ho Chi Minh City Flights' - probably picked up on vdV's travelogue.
Have a nice day all!
