Good Morning sudokuland, I missed the cool start to the day by sleeping in. It did not get into the high 50's as mentioned, but 65, still a nice start of the day. Quickly warming with the sun, 75 now, and to 85 by early afternoon, but such low humidity it feels really nice out!

I think our outing will have to be canceled. I did something sinister to my back, just a wrong move while in the kitchen. It is a bit better now, but do not think I am up to walking. I wish Al and his friend would go without me, not sure if he will.

Read and forgot, sorry. I will try to get back and read again and reply. Hugs to all and extras, my coffee is ready.

85F=29C

I know I cannot convert in my head, so figured for my temps to be understood, needed the conversions.

Didn't get much sleep last night.... entirely my fault for sitting up and watching Cary Grant movies.

Hi everyone. Read the posts but don't remember much.
Heidi, sorry you didn't get much sleep but at least it was because of Cary Grant. He is definitely worth losing sleep over.
Tricia, hope your back is feeling better soon.
One beastie is at baseball practice with dad. The other goes a little later. I am hoping to not have to sit outside for practice. It is still in the 90's here and no sign of cooling off.

Morning all,
Very windy here this morning - winds almost 60 kph with gusts over 80 kph (35/45mph). The power went out for a few seconds a little while ago.

June, I was really crabby yesterday and I think it was reading the news. So many people suffering right now.

MizT, hope your back is feeling better!

Heidi, it's worth being tired sometimes isn't it?

Tami, kids in your neck of the woods must be a special breed to train in those temps.

Happy Fathers Day!!

It does not sound very pleasant there with all that wind, Suzy. There's too big a risk of branches and trees coming down and causing damage.

Now I've gotta move some hay, and feed some of it to the cattle and horses. It's so dry that the grass isn't growing.

It's not fun Heidi. We're getting gusts up to 100kph (55) though less often than the 80s. I'm going to go out and feed the horses and then I think I will go back to bed!!

Parts of Victoria are flooding, but I think it is north of the sudoku people. Close to Rosemary though.

Good vibes going to all those people affected by the wind storms down under. It is not fun to have that much wind. I hope it does not doo too much damage.

Happy Father's Day to all the Sudoku dads from down under.

MizT, hope your back is feeling better. Sometimes just a certain way you move can pull something.

Tami, wish I could send you some of our cooler weather. It has turned really cool today. I was outside with the grandies earlier and I was cool even with a sweater. Much better than last week.

Hugs and good thoughts going to all who need them.

I personally am exhausted. The shopping trip my daughter and SIL did took longer than planned, so I had the grandies for over 4 hours. They wear me right out ... such little energetic fireballs.

Fixed supper, but now I don't feel like eating. Baked potatoes and chicken thighs marinated in a honey garlic sauce. Hubby is sure enjoying it. Oh well, maybe later. There are back to back John Wayne movies on TV that he is watching. I am not a big fan of the Duke, so I am on the computer instead. See you all later.

Theresa, my mom always said that G-d was wise when he gave kids to younger people and not older people. Younger people have more energy.

It's funny you say that Tami, because I just told my husband a few minutes ago that there's a reason older women don't have kids!

Well, it was not the AC causing the odor yesterday. Today I had that AC still off, was sitting in living room, and smelled it again, in there! Living room is a long way away from bedroom. Got up and followed the odor back to bedroom again, and back to the corner where the now off AC is located. Strange. Of course this time AL was not here, gone to grocery for me and an errand of his own. Luckily he came back soon, told me he could smell it as soon as he came in the kitchen door. Big search all over room, and then I saw him walking out of bedroom with my computer. Power supply was doing it. As soon as he got the computer out of the house, the odor in bedroom was gone. I think all odors just drift to that corner of the bedroom where the AC is. He had a spare power supply, and my puter is back up and running. AND I do not have to worry about the AC, it can go back on again if needed. What a strange thing to happen.

Thanks for the get well wishes, but could you please wish harder? It is not better and hurts every time I wiggle even. I have some things to do first of the week I cannot put off, and of course cannot get to my chiropractor before then, it being the weekend. Just have to grin and bear it I guess.

Yep, Heidi, we did. Just wonder why it happened both days at about the same time. I just do not believe in coincidences.

Perhaps it took X number of hours for the power supply to overheat and perhaps I had turned on computer same time each day?? and why was there not a fuse on that thing to turn off the whole thing when power supply overheated?? I must ask Al about that one.

OK, back to my recliner for a while, hope to be back later.

Good Evening, Fellow Sudokuaholics! I've been trying to get some reading done - currently on page 327.

Gail, I'm SO glad you gave us a link about "pie floater" - not that I think I would necessarily enjoy one, but I was scratching my head, wondering what it could be. I'm glad Hannah had a good experience with the catering for the meeting!

The discussion about Mammoth Cave brought back memories! We visited there with our Ds about 25 years ago! I think it took us about 7 hours to get there, and we went from there to Disney World.

I enjoyed the youtube about the kitten and the crow, Theresa! Thanks!

The video related to X-Factor was "not available in" my area.

Heidi, please convey my sympathy to Robert on the death at a very young age of his friend. (I looked at a youtube about JC Bailey - but not for long. YIKES! I'm not sure "crazy" really describes him.)

Suzy, thank you SO much for getting your eye checked and reporting back to us! It's a huge relief, as we all become concerned about each other, but can't really do anything about it.

June, what a great Mom you are for your Ds! Makes me wish I lived closer to mine! Even though I don't mention it every day, I think often of your friend! Sending prayers and positive vibes for both of you!

Rolanda, you had a busy day, including your Mum's Wednesday Club! I hope both she and you are doing well!

While I'm thinking of it, I would like to thank everyone who has helped with voting for "Every Child Can" and the autism dogs! Both projects have continued in the voting for September and have dropped in the ranking. I've been told that the new month can mess up the numbers for at least a few days to a week, so I am hopeful that both will raise their ranking in the next day or so!

On to page 328!

Flinging food late tonight. IH had to go pick up some sheep and goats earlier.
Ribeye steaks, sweet corn and cranberry relish. I just wish that IH would show up so we can eat. Maybe I'll eat mine alone if he doesn't show up in 5 more minutes.

Here are the links again for voting for the Pepsi grants:

Miz T's request is http://www.refresheverything.com/autismdogsforchildren

My request is
http://www.refresheverything.com/everychildcan

The grant requests are for different amounts, so you can vote for each of them without impacting the other! Thanks to everyone who is voting!

For the record, it has been over a week since I have been able to sneak in more than one vote per grant. I think they have somehow become wise to us.

Julie.... that WAS the right JC Bailey. Robert does the same stuff. But since he's over 40, his body doesn't heal as well.

OMG, Heidi! Robert does that same kind of wrestling? That's pretty scary! I have a really hard time understanding the desire to do that - and why people pay money to watch it. (You can tell I'm an old fuddy-duddy!)

Robert had me go to one of their Extreme Wrestling shows. I'll never go again. I find nothing entertaining about all the fake(ish) violence and all the real blood.

Finally getting to page 328.

V VIv, what a great Avon order! Hard to believe that only came in 8th of 10! If the person who came in first has people working for him, isn't it unfair to consider all of their orders as one?

Theresa, you mentioned Avon's aloe gel. I checked online, and don't see it, just for nails and feet. I would have thought the U.S. and Canada would have similar products!

It was nice to see that Judy was able to visit during a very busy time! What a major accomplishment to get your parents into a safe place. The next big accomplishment will be helping them to come to terms with it and maybe even like it. Cyn said it well - a loss of independence for them, and a sad relief for you!

{{{{{HUGS}}}}} to everyone and extra {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for anyone who could use a bit more! Thinking of all of you!

Now reading page 329 . . .

Judy, I hope the food poisoning symptoms have abated! Thinking of you and your parents and hoping their adjustment has begun! Now I see that this is only a temporary location. Best of luck finding a just-right place with interesting, intelligent and charming residents and excellent staff!

Suzy, I must have missed reading about the performance for the fund-raising. I hope it went well!

Is this the weekend Gail mentioned for a get-together - or is it next weekend. Whenever it happens, I hope it's a wonderful gathering for all! Have fun!

My mind is spinning with ideas of an SA commune! (What hath Gath wrought?) Just think of all the relaxed playing of Sudoku games and puzzles, flinging food when it was convenient, getting all of the swearing done at the same time to free up our time together! If we all lived in a commune, there wouldn't be a need for SA any more.

AFternoon all!
Heidi, neither wrestling nor boxing appeal to me. One of Ebob's friends wants to get into MMA but I figure there's no chance of that happening as he has never studied any of them.

Julie, off to vote again.

I don't want to jinx anything, but it looks like the winds here are dying down a little - 45kph with 65 gusts (25/35m). It has tried to trick us before though so I'm not counting any chickens yet.
