Heidi, if you were throwing money at them, that would be something IH might have a right to complain about, but firwood? He really is petty and greedy isn't he?
Prank Patrol is on TV because I haven't turned it off since Ally went to a birthday party. I have actually been laughing. A granddaughter set up her grandmother. It started with the granddaughter setting off store alarms by walking out wearing a bracelet she had tried on. The police were involved and they ended up showing the grandmother photos of her shoplifting. She was sure it was her in the photos but she hadn't been stealing. Then they moved on to her training her granddaughter to steal. The poor woman looked like she was about to cry she was so confused about what was going on. They got her good and she took it well.

Think we also need to send our Sudoku vibes to the miners trapped in New Zealand. Was just chatting about it with Mads from NZ and I really hope she pops in here to say Hi!

Agreed Broni, thinking of them now. As I said on easy earlier today, I hope the outcome is the same as Chile's miners ♥

I seem to be having trouble sleeping a full night.
Busy day today. I have the grandies at 9:00 AM while their parents do some shopping. At 9:30 the oldest grandie is meeting a friend at the park - she says he's her boyfriend. SHE'S ONLY 7! Then we have to do our shopping, I have to make a cake for tomorrow, do some swearing, the Santa Claus parade is at 1:00 and we'll take the grandies ... the list goes on and on. Don't think I'm going to have a chance to grab a nap.
Heidi, I firmly believe that we were all put on this earth to help each other along the way. Good for you!
Good vibes headed to the miners. I too was reading an article about them, but it didn't give much info. Fingers crossed.
Off to get a coffee. There is a cat between me and the monitor, so I hope the typing is okay. She's looking at me and wondering why she isn't getting her breakfast yet. Be back later.

Heidi, what goes around ..... We never know when something might happen and we need help, and hopefully people would treat us kindly. I live near the local Salvation Army and I see more and more people with really nice cars going for help with food there. The times they are a changing.

I've broken the following story into two parts:
When Women Lie
One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, 'My dear child, why are you crying?' The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family.. The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set with sapphires...
'Is this your thimble?' the Lord asked.
The seamstress replied, 'No.'
The Lord again dipped into the river. He held out a golden thimble studded with rubies.
'Is this your thimble?' the Lord asked. Again, the seamstress replied, 'No.'
The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble.
'Is this your thimble?' the Lord asked. The seamstress replied, 'Yes.' The Lord was pleased with the woman's honesty and gave her all three thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy.

Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the water. When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, 'Why are you crying?'
'Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!'
The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney.
'Is this your husband?' the Lord asked...
Yes,' cried the seamstress.
The Lord was furious. 'You lied! That is an untruth!'
The seamstress replied, 'Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding.
You see, if I had said 'no' to George Clooney, you would have come up with Brad Pitt.
Then if I said 'no' to him, you would have come up with my husband. Had I then said 'yes,' you would have given me all three. Lord, I'm not in the best of health and would not be able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT'S why I said 'yes' to George Clooney.
And so the Lord let her keep him.
The moral of this story is:
Whenever a woman lies, it's for a good and honorable reason, and in the best interest of others. That's our story, and we're sticking to it.
Signed,
All Us Women

Little ice pellets are falling from the sky. Doesn't bode well for the oldest grandie to meet her friend at the park, or the Santa Claus parade for that matter. Also KitKat's burial. Yucky weather.

everybody. I had another good night's sleep, but I would have liked a few more hours of it. I've got an easy day ahead of me.... just have to feed MORE hay to the cows, then grain to the few we're feeding. But my euphoria is tempered with the thought that IH will be back from California tomorrow.

Good afternoon fr8iends, in for a fast post today. LOVELY weather here, about 70 and windy. I have clean clothes on the line, and they are flaping themselves dry.
Al is doing well, no fevor, eating some better, and at last drinking a whole 10 oz mug of coffee this morning. He said things were beginning to have a better taste. I do wonder if the B complex vitamin he got in his medicine via tube this morning helped?
Time to do the 2 pm antibiotics. I did have a bit more time for resting today, not nearly as tired. We have been invited to my nephew and his wife's house for thanksgiving. It will depend on how he is doing, but he should be better enough by then. AND he has enough antibiotics in his no germ would come near hehehe, but that does nothing for virisus. We shall see by mid week.
Hugs to all, with extras. Extra prayers and thoughts to the NZ miners, I do hope they can be rescued.

I noticed in the article that it said nothing about a "safe place" that they were near, like the Chilean miners were in. But remember how long it took to make first contact with the men in Chile. There's always some hope, no matter how bad it looks.

My thoughts and prayers are going out to the miners and their families. I can't imagine what the loved ones are going through.
Tricia, glad that Al is doing a little better. Both of you are in my thoughts.
Theresa, loved the story. I also have seen it before but it is still funny. Tough choice: George Clooney, Brad Pitt or keep hubby. I will have to think about that.

Tami.... That's a no brainer for me. I don't like Brad Pitt. So the choice is George Clooney (from Kentucky) or IH.

I'd keep hubby but George would be difficult to put back (can I keep him, just for a little while??).
Brad Pitt would be a no-brainer.

Their mom and dad are watching a move that is not kid friendly. They are starting to whine - believe it or not they are fighting over my duster. I have been picking up after them because I just don't want to fight with them tonight. Usually I get them to clean up after themselves before they leave, but not tonight. Please let the movie be over soon. Twice now the older one has pulled the curtains down off the archway, after being told many, many times to leave them alone. I am so tired.
