Gail... I know you were asking about Cyndi, but I was just thinking of the circumstances of losing Ruby, and thought that might be why you were worried about Cyndi.

Saturday morning and my Hubby is doing overtime - it seems strange for him to be working on a Saturday.
Gail/Rolanda - let us know if you do hear anything of Cyndi. I often wonder - she used to be such a stalwart on this page.

Morning all,
Cyn, mine is working on a Saturday too. He is working because 5 locations have ecoli detected. It often happens after protracted heavy rain. The problem this time is that the woman who does the sampling took Monday off work so the results came in at 3.30 Friday afternoon instead of 3.30 Thursday. One result did come in on Thursday - if the cleaning and retest didn't work on that one he'll be working again tomorrow doing a boil water letter drop.

My friend's mother was initially diagnosed as beginning dementia, but they later said it might have been severe anxiety. She's sure said some weird and contradictory things to her daughter over the last few months...

It did occur to me at one point that I could easily have just disappeared from the page and hubby has no idea how to get info to you. Then I realised that one of you would eventually send me a text and he would get that.

Broni, snapped muscles sounds serious. So does you having to be the chauffeur all the time.

Tami, a very creative use of the Santa Figure. I am sure your students enjoy it.
Yes, much better today with no odor in house! Hooray for Terry is right.
Cyn I can only imagine how heart wrenching it is to leave your Mom and her unhappy with your going. I do hope her unhappiness is short lived.
Brenda, sounds like a snow here in the south. there are no snow removal machines in our and many counties here. Usually everything comes to a stop till it melts in a day or two. People do not know how to drive in snow here, many fender bender accidents for those who do get out. when I was younger, I had to go in snow, working hospitals and my Dad taught me how to drive in snow. It was good advice and served me well.
Rolanda, you sure have had the C parties already, hope you are enjoying the season.
Today I repaired the lighting prooblem on my tree, I can actually start to decorate it now. Latest ever, usually done on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.
I think Al and I will make apple butter tomorrow. I was given 8 cans of unsweetened applesauce, and that is an easy start for apple butter. I just cannot do the peeling and chopping of apples or other fruits for making jelly or jam this year.

Miz Tricia, next to the Santa I have a little plastic tree that is about 1 foot tall (.3 meter) I wrapped a ribbon around it to look like a garland. I also have a little Chanukah next to that. I hung garland across my board.

MizT, I hope you get your apple butter made tomorrow.
Yet another campaign for seat belts on school buses... I personally consider it a waste of time. For one thing, most of the kids just won't wear them. But more importantly there are not enough seats for all of the children, the buses are even licensed to have about 30 standing in the aisles, so what difference is a seat belt going to make for them. The schools have a girls on first week, followed by a boys on first week so they each have a chance of getting a seat. I think the money would be better spent following the bus drivers around and giving them speeding tickets etc- ever followed a school bus? Those guys are scary! Speed limits are for everyone else and red lights are optional if you're running late.

I have been out shopping again. Slowly getting the presents bought for 25th. Have cut back some presents this year but really need to cut out a lot more.
Good luck with all the apple butter MizT. It is something I have never made.
Sorry about all who have husbands working over the weekend. Mine is playing lawn bowls so I guess I am in the same situation. He is not at home!

My hubby is where he is every second day! Today's Chrissy lunch was with the staff and clients of the home haemo unit, so it was nice to be with people in the same situation, hearing their stories and have them be interested in ours.
Tomorrow is lunch with the sudoku mob, we are both looking forward to that one.

Good Late Evening, Everybody!
Hi, Suzy, Gail, Rolanda, Brenda, CynB and Tami!
Suzy, I hope your brother is feeling better! Hopefully, Ally's throught is now better, as well!
Brenda, I'm so glad your D was able to help with the frozen pipe! Richard is far braver (and more flexible, apparently) than I. Yes, I think it's better to try to keep an eye/ear on it than need to climb out of the landing window! How brilliant that you knew what to do to get your house toasty-warm again! I hope you don't get more snow for a while!
Rolanda, I hope you enjoyed your C luncheon!
Tami, you're so right! Testing weeks are difficult on students and teachers alike! It's far easier and more productive to teach than to proctor! I imagine your students like to be able to count down the days until their break!
I'm going to leave page 454 until tomorrow to read! I'm about to fall asleep in the chair. I apologize to those whose posts I haven't read. Positive thoughts, prayers and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to all! Good Night and sleep tight!

Wish I could come tomorrow...
Cyn, you jinxed me with your needing fuel comment. I thought we had plenty, then hubby drove over 240km for work today and we are empty.
June, I have never been that organised, which doesn't bode well for the future if I'm going to get less rather than more organised..

I've never been that well organized, either. But then, I don't have June's motivation... no children or grandchildren to make an effort for over the holidays. I would love to have grandies to spoil. I seem to do less and less every year when it comes to decorating. And IH refuses to lend a hand with any lights outside. Or inside.

Suzy..... a suggestion (based on June's comment)..... Don't do anything this year. If it's important to them, others will do it. Otherwise, it's not important. The world won't end if you miss one christmas! You still need to be taking it easy.

Hi everyone. Had the typical Saturday running errands. Did stop and look at new refrigerators. Mine is sick and may not last too much longer. Saw one I liked, will take hubby to look at it tonight or tomorrow. I will probably have to replace it within the next week or so. I had a really nice girl help me. She wrote everything down so that I can compare other styles on line.

Arctic air is to come for a visit starting tonight. By Monday morning when we have to leave for chemo, will be around 20*F (-6.66C), way out of our norm. Theresa, will you please find out who left the door open and close it?
It is damp, cloudy, warm and windy today, I was just outside with no jacket, long sleeved Henley was sufficient. I had to dry the jeans in the dryer, started sprinkle of rain. Since they were mostly dry, did not take long.
TAMI, hope you find the est deal on the fridge you like. A new fridge sounds exciting! What is wrong with the sick one?

last night we had more snow then it turned to rain so is all gone in this area. Probably not in all areas of the country though. The forecaster have said that we will be having these arctic conditions until Xmas. All I can say is thank goodness we have overpaid on our fuel bills and don't have to worry about using the heating.

Yeah... I know about coffee (or tea or Kool-ade) on the keyboard. I'm on my third keyboard because of it. But I never learn. I have a glass of Kool-ade sitting next to mine right now.
I believe it was Theresa who warned you about the additional affection and clinginess, Suzy. It usually doesn't start so soon, tho. It can take a while for the Tomcat hormones to leave the system.
