JULIE, I did not help him choose, he was waiting on me at the " drive through" when I came back, caps in hand! A local church makes the caps, and there were more caps than patients needing them, so they encouraged everyone to take more than one! I love the peacock blue one he picked for me, it makes my white hair shine!
AND it looks dye to match for my jacket! This man is good with colors!!
ROLANDA bummer about the dentist. Next i see him I would introduce him to unhappy Jan.
Heidi, I can vouch for the warmth of an animal. My kitties have been sleeping on me and AL while we watch TV, and they are better than a heating pad! I can only imagine what a large animal like a collie and multiple ones at that, do for a bed. I would just have a problem with the space thing, that many dogs would schooch me out of the bed!
Your comment about qualifications for teachers in KY spills over to North Georgia, where my Nephew in law teaches. he is one of the good guys, trying to teach the kids something, he can survive in areas other than North GA, is well read and articulate, and they punish him for it at every turn! He brought math scores up for his classes, so they give him remedial classes, babysitting students while they do standardized computer based work. If he brings up scores, school would loose extra funding they get to bring up scores! Go figure!!
Julie, perhaps Judith is more nervous about second knee replacement because ehw KNOWS what is ahead of her this time?? Adding her to thoughts and prayers.
I have a request, prayers for a lovely lady named Carol who will have " girl surgery" with a high possibility of it being advanced cancer. Her surgery is Feb 4. A mutter or two for the best possible outcome would be appreciated. My sister is being her advocate and support, so a good word for Kathy also, who is facing this with her.
Must get a few things done this morning, hope to be back to finish reading. Hugs and love.

OH OH, good news department. Remember me saying back a while my niece had lost a baby at 2 weeks old? Massive infection at birth and baby Ian never had a chance. Well, niece is pregnant again! 20 weeks, half way, fore she announced it. The doc says mama and baby doing well! This one is a girl, and my sister so happy to again be in line for being grandma. Congrats to the happy couple and their extended family. Prayers and wishes for a healthy happy baby.

Broni, I took Tami's " two of my boys" to mean 2 of her students, not her own beasty boys. that "not see them for 10 days" I took to mean suspended? Expelled? I get those confused!
Did I get that right, Tami??

I'm getting ready to go feed George's steers in a few minutes. First I need food in my tummy to buffer the pain meds.

That's wonderful news about your niece. I just hope
that the baby goes full term this time. The doctors should be watching carefully.

Sorry, that was not clear. Baby Ian was full term, and lived (on machines) for 2 weeks before succumbing to massive infections. Docs are watching both Mom and baby this time very closely.
I think I need to make a pink baby quilt! Wonder if this hand would cooperate? first, get over this crud, then clean the sewing room, THEN I might can make a quilt.

George's steers are happily eating now. So are my cats and poultry. I need to go fill the horse's water tank, then I'm in for the day. Everything outside is still covered in snow and ice.

Thanks all for the birthday wishes. Hubby is muttering that we need to get organised. The suitcase is still on top of the wardrobe.
I'll be back later when we eventually get to Hervey Bay.

HOW WEIRD IS THIS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This year we will experience 4 unusual dates...
1/1/11,
1/11/11,
11/1/11 and
11/11/11......
AND go figure this out...
Take the last two digits of the year you were born plus the age you will be this year, it will equal 111......
