Forgot who asked but it was two of my students that were fighting and they got suspended for 10 days. Expulsion is for a much more severe act and means you are not allowed to go to any school for a period of at least 1 year. Expulsion would be for murder, attempted murder, bringing a weapon on campus, starting a fire, and other such crimes.

Just woke up from a needed nap to find that my neighbor had left me 3 dozen fresh eggs from his hens as a thank you. I LOVE fried egg sandwiches!

Hel... Sorry, Gekko! Hope you're all well today.
Sending good wishes to all who are unwell - Carol, Judith, anyone else who needs it. ♥
Nothing happening here at the moment, but I just found this on that there Internetty thing ... this is my son and his friend doing selections from some of their shows, including performances for schools. The last piece was new to me, seems to be at Federation Square, so possibly Australia Day last year? Interesting costumes .... Adam is the one in the lycra ... (!!) Enjoy!

Wow Judy! Leopard skin lycra even!! I'd love to go to one of their shows...

Tami, if you get expelled from a school here you just go to the one down the road - and they have to take you, possibly not if you actually murdered someone though.

Heidi, I love fresh eggs too. We have to get chickens again!!

Ebob and I have just spent the morning together. She managed to fail school last year so we had to re-enrol her. After expressing concerns about her stress levels and coping all went ahead in a very straightforward fashion. She even has the option to take the Pathways path - which means up to 5 years to do your HSC. After we went to the school in the morning and left our phone number so the deputy could call when he got out of his meetings, we wandered around town, did a little shopping and window shopping etc. By the time I suggested we stop waiting for the school to call and went back to squeak a little she was physically ill from worrying. I hope she doesn't stress out again this year!!!

Excuse me maam, but I am from xxx corporation and I'm calling about your windows computer. We are concerned because we have been receiving error messages from your computer for quite some time.

Do you think I'm an idiot?

I'm sorry ma'am?

Do you think I'm a complete idiot?

No ma'am, but..

No thank you - clunk.

I have to, since we get all sorts of strange calls for IH. Anything from the Governor to the USDA to semi-illiterate yokels who think IH is a Vet.

Those yokels can do and say all sorts of strange things. One day a carload of them (I think 6) showed up here, and piled out in torn clothes and barefoot. They were looking for IH. They had a sick goat IN THE CAR WITH THEM, that had liquid shooting out of both ends. They wanted IH to treat it for them. I told them that 1) he wasn't home, and 2) he wasn't a Vet. Fortunately, they left. I wouldn't get near that car. The smell and mess inside must have been horrendous. Usually, tho', they call, and I give them his cell number.

Gekko! Nearly midnight here.

Hi, Tami, Theresa, Broni, Gail, MizTricia, Brenda, Heidi, Suzy, eaa and Vicki!

Happy Birthday Vicki! I hope you have a special day with a yummy cake and flowers as beautiful as you!

MizT, good for Al and his color sense! Too bad your nephew-in-law is not appreciated for the teaching skills he obviously has! I hope he doesn't get "burned out" for lack of appreciation!

MizT, prayers and positive thoughts for Carol and for your sister Kathy who is advocating for her! Muttering full strength!

Adding prayers and positive thoughts for your niece and all of her family, MizT! I hope your hand cooperates so you can make a pink baby quilt! That would be a very special present!

Heidi, so glad you could get all the outside duties, including feeding George's steers, done so that you could stay inside and keep warm!

eaa, your words are full of wisdom, as usual!

Theresa - interesting coincidence! And a coincidence that both you and eaa shared it at almost the same time!

Before I forget, a huge thank you to all of you for muttering for my friends! I know they will all benefit a great deal!

Hi, Judy and Rolanda! So glad you've joined the craziness on page 527!

Have a wonderful weekend, Vicki!

Heidi, what a great way to wake up from a nap - fresh eggs! I haven't had farm-fresh eggs since I was a kid. (Not too many hens laying in the suburbs.)

Judy, your son and his friend certainly have put together some high-energy shows! I imagine they're a big hit when they perform in schools!

Suzy, maybe you can teach Ebob to meditate as a stress reliever? Sending positive thoughts for her as she gets back into the school routine. Perhaps part of it is just facing going back and knowing that her friends have moved on ahead of her. You've done a great job of opening the lines of communication, so I hope they stay open!

Heidi, that must have been a mighty special goat for them to bring it in a car in that condition! I hope they found someone who could treat it . . . and someone to clean the car!

Suzy, I should hasten to add that Adam and his mate are NOT the main attraction in that show, they're just the hosts/comedy extras, etc. But yeah, they made me laugh ... Not that I'm biased or anything .... !

Hubby, Hannah and I had lunch out again today..it's a hard life! We went to the same winery/restaurant that the last two gatherings have been held. We love the ambiance, food and the price! A winery that does not punch above it's weight!

Tonight is a treatment night, so hopefully he and I will be able to get a good night's sleep, still feel like I am playing catch-up after the few days away.

We had a wongerful time, the drives both ways went easily, and hubby had no probs seeing as he was an extra day without treatment.

We arrived fairly late on Sunday night, though a little earlier than we expected, and went straight to the motel we were booked into. They put us in the same room we had been in many years before so it has now been christened 'our room'! We had some Chinese takeaway from a local restaurant, a bottle of bubbly and a spa! Next day we caught up with Bill and Val for lunch, and had a lovely afternoon with them.
That night we stayed at our best friend's house, he's the one with Parkinson's. Other friends came over for dinner, so it was a night of fun and good food. (Just briefly, seeing our friend shocked us at first, it has progressed so much since we last saw him, but he seems happy enough and still able to work for now, but not for many years I am afraid).
We spent the night there and also meant to stay the next night, but after waking in the morning sneezing and itchy due to their new puppy, we decided not to stay the second night. I rang the motel again and yes, our room was available that night.

That night I went off to Hahndorf to have dinner with our sudoku family. Hubby didn't come this time, he stayed back to catch up with another old mate, so it was just me on my Pat Malone!
When I arrived, GmaJackie/USA, Grasshopper/Qld and her hubby, and Ceri/Adelaide were already there, and Margot and hubby rocked up a little later.
We nattered and chatted for ages then ordered the food, and when it arrived we dived in to a veritable feast. It was an Indian restaurant, so we shared our meals and had a little of everything. YUMMMMO! Everyone got on wonderfully and I can't wait till Margot and her hubby come to Melbourne in April so I can meet them again!

We were lucky to be going when we did, any earlier and we may have had to take a large detour due to the flooding in central Victoria. We could tell there had been undermining damage done to the road, and many side streets were still shut. There was lots of water still lying around along the road edges, and many paddocks were still sodden. There are a few lakes alongside the road that have been dried up for the last ten years that we have been doing the trip, this time there were plenty of boats and water-skiers on them!
It certainly made for an interesting drive there and back!

Evening all,
Ebob had a couple of her new friends drop in to show the horses to the duaghter of one of them this afternoon. To her chagrin they stayed long enough to meet us! The woman said to me that she didn't know why Ebob was nervous about them meeting us because we're really nice. lol

Was it a little sad seeing all the flood damage?

Gail, sounds like you had a great time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. It sounds like a great evening except I don't like Indian food. If I ever come down there, you will have to find a different place to take me. (wishful thinking)
