Morning all,
Theresa, hope it was fun! I like checking out new stores...

Yesterday was interesting. I told you I enrolled Alie in the Hip Hop classes and then she was invited to the Performance classes. Well later she came to me and said I think I will ask Shona if we can do guitar lessons on Thursdays and we'll have band practice on Wednesdays. I asked when she planned on fitting in her singing lessons and didn't she want to do the art classes anymore? AAaaahhh!

Oh my Suzy, what a busy schedule for Alie ... which means a busy schedule for you too!!!

My daughter went to the new Walmart today. It's not as big as the ones in Ottawa, but it includes groceries. I have a feeling some other businesses in our small town will start to suffer .....

Theresa, Ebob is going to want to do some stuff too - though I think all of hers is falling on the weekend which is a bummer as she works then.

The Egyptian people are pointing at looters and calling out 'THIEF', and tried to stop the ones who got into the museum!! Way to show that the mob mentality doesn't have to get everyone!

I was also having problems with the other page earlier. We took Harley to the dog park today and he is one tired puppy. There were 2 miniature greyhounds there and Harley had a great time chasing them. They seemed to be having a good time also because when Harley would stop chasing, they would look for him and get him to chase them again. It was really cute.

We are going out for dessert tonight. It is a yogurt place that I go to on Tuesday nights for mom's night out. The kids have been begging us to go, so we are all meeting there. You can choose from about 16 different soft-serve yogurts and 30+ toppings. It is fun. We are meeting good friends so it should be a nice night.

Oh Tami, now I am hungry for something sweet. We have absolutely no junk food or desserts in the house, except for fresh fruit. I have been trying to eat healthier, but today I really want CHOCOLATE. Good thing the stores are already closed. For example today I had a bowl of raisin bran cereal for breakfast, chicken noodle soup for lunch, and a caesar salad for supper. Somebody please send me chocolate ... I'm not above begging.

Tami, the park visit sounds like fun with the added bonus that a tired puppy might be too tired to chew!

Luckily it's not Tuesday or the other mothers might not be happy with you - that sounds like a fantastic place to meet, much healthier than cappuccinos! And delicious too.

Suzy, I go out of my way to eat before getting groceries, and then just not buying sweet or salty foods. I do miss them though. I was at my daughter's earlier today and they bought a container of cupcakes ... I can't get them out of my mind. I wonder if I can sneak over when they are asleep.

Gekko and Good Evening!

HI, Suzy, Gail, Judy, Rolanda and Theresa!

Suzy, I'm so glad you thought to check in on Wagdy! I hope he isn't near any of the uprisings! It makes me realize that I take my peace and freedom for granted. Stay safe, Wagdy and family!

I hope some of Ebob's confidence at work carries over with her as she returns to school! She obviously has a good head on her shoulders and knows how to use it! Will be thinking of her as school starts and hoping she can get past the jitters and nervousness!

Judy, be sure to let us know how your "feral" squashes fared in the new recipe.

Rolanda, I'm so relieved to hear that this storm wasn't as bad as it might have been!

Theresa, I hope your day with the grandies went well!

Hi, Tami and eaa, who have joined us on this page!

Heidi, I'm glad you're listening to your body and sleeping when it lets you know you should!

Suzy, Alie is (and you are) going to be busy young ladies, it would seem! Isn't it a shame she doesn't have any interests? I hope Ebob is able to work in some outside interests as well!

Tami, it sounds like Harley had a great time and made friends at the doggy park! I like your idea of the frozen yogurt place for dessert! Yummm!

Theresa, so sorry I can't help out with the chocolate! You've eaten very healthy all day!

Suzy, my thoughts as well! eaa, have you provided enough food for the devils while you are away? What a big responsibility!

Gail, the choccies look like they would "hit the spot!"

Theresa, I recently read that a person should brush their teeth immediately after a meal in the hopes that it would discourage further eating. On the other hand, I suppose we could all sacrifice and re-brush if chocolate was available.

Ebob is definitely planning on St John's on Tuesday nights and baseball which will be one day a weekend. Unfortunately training is on the other day and she won't be able to go, which annoys her because she wants to get better. She also wants to volunteer at the nursing home because she fell in love with the residents.

Had a good day today although early start, up at 4:30am to leave home at 5:10am to catch the barge in my car at 6am. Over to North Stradbroke Island for the day which is overseas for me hehe!(3/4 hr ferry trip from Australia)
Cruised around the island found a yummy place for a BIG breakfast, caught up with friends and had a wongerful afternoon and got 2kg of fresh cooked prawns straight of the trawler to have for dinner, what else can I say?

Also I have plenty of chocolate here for all who want some.
We went to the beach and had fish and chips or dinner. There was a lovely breeze blowing in from the ocean
When we came home I was carrying MIL's walker up the front steps when I caught the handle on the hand rail, overbalanced and fell down the steps backwards. I was only on the second step but because I had the walker in my hands I could not save myself. Have a sore elbow, a bit of a bump on the back of the head and I guess I will be a bit stiff tomorrow. Mil goes back home tomorrow.
I thought Wagdy was still in California with his son. It must be a worry for him being away from home. It was about this time last year we went to Egypt.

Ex-Tropical Cyclone Bianca was located 160 kilometres west of Perth at 5:00 pm,
and is continuing to weaken as it approaches the coast.
Mr Weatherman says around 8.00pmish (about 3/4 hour or so) we should start to experience some rough weather....
