Ok I'm here to help a bit.

As I said on easy - Shaun's girl Aki is from Kyoto but her family are all safe and well.

I had to go and tell them about the earthquake. Even though they were on the internet, neither of them had seen anything about it all.

I have a new great niece - Lissa Paige - born about a week ago. That's all the details I know yet.

James has been tandem skydiving. He said it was great fun and he will do it again. He might even attempt a solo dive. Not happy about that at all.

We went out for breakfast and then went dishwasher shopping. So we've come home with a new lead and toy for the dog and 12 goldfish.

We are about to go out again and try another store for dishwashers - if I can drag Kevin away from his new fish.

I've watched people tandem skydive and it looks like fun, except for the leg lift you have to do for the landing...

Lurve having a dishwasher after doing without for so many years. I don't think I'm saving any water though.

I've been having fun watching the Bonnie and Clyde owl cam. You get there from the Decorah eagle site. There are 4 owlets with funny, distinct personalities. And both parents hunt, tho' mom spends most of her time with the babies. In a 2 1/2 hour period, I watched them bring back 8 rodent treats. The smaller ones get swallowed whole by the babies. It's SO cool.

I'm gonna try something that works on the owl page. I don't know if it'll work here. (hoot)

It didn't work. Drat. When I do that on the owl page, an owl head magically appears in place of the (hoot).

That blasted calf still refuses to nurse. I just got a new type of tube feeder that's easier to use and clean, and tried it out tonight after he refused to suckle again. I'm starting to think about veal.

I've just got a fb friend request from Alie's new boyfriend!! I say 'new' but they've been dancing around this for 2 years now.

Intermission here, so thought I would check in. I can help out a bit with the pages needed. It is getting closer.

Having a cup of tea, but the Aussies would laugh at my tea, some of that flavored stuff, this is ginger tea, not only tastes good, it is good for the indigestion.

Got soo frustrated at hospital this afternoon. Between 4 and 6, thought I would get something to eat. Cafeteria opens for dinner at 5:15, this should work if I am there when it opens. Now, from ICU to cafeteria, it is about a 2 block walk, inside hospital, honest, a LONG way. I go down, get there a few early, go into dining area and make a few phone calls while sitting next to window, good reception.

That is cell phone reception, if you please.

Look up at clock, it is 5:25, no sign of anyone opening cafeteria, and no one in line waiting for them to open.

DUH, a light bulb goes on, it is FRIDAY, they do not open Friday evening.

Wasted trip, and all that walking while carrying my tote bag with necessities, has back hurting all the way to my toes.

OH well, back ache distracted me from noticing I was hungry

Heidi - I never thought I would say this - but I think, in this case, veal is the best option by far. That little beggar hopefully will taste better than he behaves!

Normally, I have a problem with veal, if I think about a baby calf. Strange thing is I can eat lamb without thinking about a baby lamb!

I wish I had tried sky-diving when I was younger - I'm too old, too big and too unco to try now!

Broni - tell Poss that Col and I are thinking about him as he deals with his Mum's situation!

I have just been ctching up on the odd bulletin about Japan today. It's not that I care less about this situation, I do - all up it's far worse and will lead to much more loss of life and squillions of $$$$ in damage. I just feel like I can't watch any more disasters. The last 3 (our floods, Yasi and Christchurch) I sat glued to the TV for days often just watching the same footage over and over again.......
