Good Morning my friends, hope you are all well.
I have read but little time to comment today. Have someone coming to look at the boat today and need to sort out a blocked toilet on the boat.
Whoever asked about Declan Galbraith here is the YouTube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_j6IBdHW_rY
Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all!
As usual I have started this comment with a smile on my face thanks to the previous comments. That even with the not-so-happy comments above. Now I have the image of Heidi chasing after Gil with a lug wrench stuck in my head!!!

June, I'm glad the treatment is finished and have my vibe sender sent on maximum that is was successful. What an amazing friend you have already back at work in spite of the treatment!

Nola, I hope Judy is not feeling too bad after the chemo. It's great that you are able to keep an eye on her. I don't envy you the needle giving thing. I can't even watch!

Now that the snow has arrived, Heidi, do you think it will be as big a storm as predicted, or less, since some of the storm slipped south of you? I hope roads will not be treacherous if you decide to take the cow and calf for sale tomorrow morning! Thanks for explaining how that works - no need for disclosure, other than that the vet will notify potential buyers if the cow is pregnant. I hadn't thought about the value of the unborn calf. You're right - it could be worth more than the cow might be sold for. I hope your hand is feeling better after tightening the tractor's lug nuts!

Theresa, so sorry to hear about your previous job and the stress involved! You were wise to separate yourself from it. It sounds like the work you're doing at home might be interesting when a tight deadline isn't imposed on you!

It's so nice that you have found time to work on your crafts again - even the 10th birthday present dog bed! I can't imagine what it must have been like to be dragged by the dog! She must have been very strong and very determined to catch whatever she was chasing! It was nice that people helped catch the dog, but why didn't anyone help you? It seems that people so easily turn away from and ignore people needing help these days! I'm so glad you recovered from your injuries!

Your story reminds me of the lady my hubby and I saw last winter. Her electric wheelchair had stopped as she was crossing a 4-lane busy street. We saw someone get out of his car and push her to the side of the road, then drive off. Hubby and I parked and pushed her the 8 blocks or so to her house.

V Vici, I loved the picture you painted of your trip home over Donner Pass last night! I hope all the gninaelc is done and you're ready for the visit this weekend!

Nola, please pass on lots of positive vibes to Judy! I'm so glad you have a bit of a rest and relaxation day away from work and study! I hope you have now finished your first assignment! Congrats on getting your tooth taken care of without a couple of weeks of worry! This seems to have been a week of dental appointments!

V Viv, your avatar is REALLY striking and "eye catching!"

Well, would you look at that? I was so busy typing my comment that I didn't realize I had left us sitting at the bottom of page 82.

Congrats on the TOPP, Broni! (I was the one asking about the Declan Galbraith link. Thank you!) I hope all goes well as you show the boat!

Hi, Suzy! I hope you have a great day lined up!

Thank you Broni! Julie it was sent to me via email. Broni, not good timing to have a blocked toilet! Hope that gets fixed before they come to have a look.

Theresa, now you've said what you do I think you've told me before... I wish I knew where I put my brain! I really miss it you know. How horrible that people ignored you when you fell!! I can't imagine anyone doing that!

Vici, the drive sounds magnificent!

Judy, I love passionfruit and want to plant a vine. Good luck with the car shopping. I had never gone shopping for a new car before and found it difficult as there were so many choices!

Hello and warm thoughts to anyone I have missed!

Julie, I actually have a day where there is nowhere to go and nowhere to be!!!! Nobody has to be driven to work, nobody is expecting me for coffee, nobody has plans to visit friends, we can do whatever we want!! (Ignoring the gninaelc for now as I figure that can wait until I have an empty house on Monday)

Nola, snap! Ally's singing teacher had a wisdom tooth removed yesterday. I saw her comment on that other page and called because I was sure rehearsal would be cancelled for last night. Nope, it was on, but they would be recording. When I picked up Ally the poor teacher was just about in tears with the pain!

Hi Suzy, This time I was very lucky and didn't even need a panadol.Slept very well and only have a sore jaw when eating.I was almost sick about 4 times walking back to the car afterwards because of the gauze being so far at the back of my mouth.Got rid of that 5 min later and been good ever since. The previous wisdom tooth I had removed, caused so much pain that I went to the hospital emergency room in the middle of the night for stronger pain killers.

Good evening all. I finished the job I was working on, tried to get some sleep but one of my cats was being particularly affectionate. I didn't have the heart to remove him from the bed because he is old and lately wants to be close to humans. His time is limited so I'll make the most of it. His idea of closeness the last few months is sticking his furry little face against my nose!!!
VV ... I only knit in the winter as well. There's something soothing and relaxing about working with the hands.
Well, off to fix some supper finally and then hopefully an early night. Maybe I'll catch the TV show Criminal Minds as I've sort of gotten hooked on it.

Vici told about her trip home last night and the brightness of the moon. Here is some scientific information about the moon:

Tonight's full moon will be the biggest and brightest full moon of the year. It offers anyone with clear skies an opportunity to identify easy-to-see features on the moon.

This being the first full moon of 2010, it is also known as the wolf moon, a moniker dating back to Native American culture and the notion that hungry wolves howled at the full moon on cold winter nights. Each month brings another full moon name.

But why will this moon be bigger than others? Here's how the moon works:
The moon is, on average, 238,855 miles (384,400 km) from Earth. The moon's orbit around Earth – which causes it to go through all its phases once every 29.5 days – is not a perfect circle, but rather an ellipse. One side of the orbit is 31,070 miles (50,000 km) closer than the other.

So in each orbit, the moon reaches this closest point to us, called perigee. Once or twice a year, perigee coincides with a full moon, as it will tonight, making the moon bigger and brighter than any other full moons during the year.

Tonight it will be about 14 percent wider and 30 percent brighter than lesser full Moons of the year, according to Spaceweather.com.

As a bonus, Mars will be just to the left of the moon tonight. Look for the reddish, star-like object.

Good morning lovely SA people. Had to temporarily ditch my Valentines avatar to give the topsiders on Easy some sun. I, on the other hand appreciate every snowflake smiley I see.
Vici's moonlight trip home sounded spectacular and thanks Julie for the info on the moon, very interesting.

Theresa - I believe that people just left you there! It happened to my mother - she was in her early 80's at the time, Dad couldn't drive any more because of dementia. She alway enjoyed walking and had walked to the local library to exchange books. On her way home she tripped on an uneven path and fell, twisting her ankle and knocking the breath out of her. It took 5 or 10 minutes for her to be able to stand up and limp home - in the meantime, many cars just drove by this little old lady in distress! Makes you wonder what is happening in the world, doesn't it?
Sorry your previous job stressed you, just remember

Judy, I had passion flower vines groeing wild here, till we started mowing that area. I love the flower, it is so exotic.

Julie, perhaps Heidi should take that lug wrench and chase Gil till he gets the small rolls of hay for her.

Heidi, I did not think about your cow being very pregnant! Yep, that might let them know something is going on. I almost said a very silly thing, something like such a xhame you could not keep her in the barn till she delivered. BUT quickly realized, unless you want another bottle baby, you would have to keep her around for feeding the calf. Lots of work involved either way, sell her and get rid of a problem. NOTHING worse than getting a call in the middle of the night telling you a cow is out of the fence and on the road. Well, unless the cows are not yours, and the caretaker for the absentee landlord is not available! I have helped chase a cow or 2, and once the bull, at night, not fun! Helped repair a fence or two also, when the caretaker could not find any help. something I am glad is not my job now, for sure!!

OK, I am at end of page 82, and almost ready for bed. Might read a bit more till pain meds work. end of day this hand is complaining. I am soo tired of this!

Vent over, will return you to your regularly scheduled posts. Hugs to all.

The cows are all due to calve in the next month and a half. Including #9. I felt I needed to get rid of her before the next time we work cattle. That's right after the last calf is born. All the bull calves get castrated and ALL the calves get their first shots. She gets nasty with our helpers and tries to run over them. THEY asked that we get rid of her ASAP.
