Happy Birthday Rain! ...a grand ol' gal
Thanks for the input, Suzy...I did submit one with Gail's hand feeding a kookaburra...but just tagged it as "The Cockatoo Bird Whisperer". Figured only her friends would know!
Glad you are home watching the fog and not out driving in it.

Hi all. Just stopping in for a minute. Dad is doing ok today. His oxygen levels were low so they made some adjustments. Mom is home already and will be going to bed early. Luckily the hospital is only about 5 minutes from her house. My brother is very close also. I am the one who has the longest drive, about 30 minutes. I spent the day with her yesterday and brother will check in at night. Thank you all for the good thoughts. I will pass them on to my parents. I know they do appreciate them.

I am still amazed by the lucky chance that let Bernie's pneumonia be caught so early. Nevertheless, he DOES have a touch of pneumonia. My fingers are crossed for him.

As I am gnignah things on the line I am thinking of the new ad on TV. If 50gm of carbon emissions are represented by one balloon, cold water hsaw and line dry is represented by 2 balloons, warm water hsaw and tumble dry by 120!! It's hard to imagine the difference is so huge.

Mom wants to say thank you to everyone for all the good wishes. It is amazing that the pneumonia was caught so early. If my mom's neighbor was home, he would have come over and helped my dad up and mom would not have called the paramedics. Somethings happen for strange reasons. I still think his guardian angel pushed him so that he would have to get help.

Judy, Laura is very considerate to offer you ear plugs before going to hear her boyfriend's heavy metal band! A couple of years ago we (hubby and I and several high school friends and their hubbies) went to the House of Blues in Chicago. One of our classmates (now known as "Billy Zoom") was playing there in his band "X". Several of us thought of bringing ear plugs - a very good move. The music wasn't all that bad, but VERY LOUD!

Good afternoon folks..
Good news to report...my R foot looked almost normal today..the most normal it has looked since I injured it last September...can't say the same about my L...funny little football still there this morning... The heat over the last few days has shot down the theory that the swelling is heat related...I just hope it is back to normal by winter...cannot afford to replace all my winter shoes and I am sick of wearing thongs... I was even able to get my croc's on today...

Suzy, I enjoyed the story of your husband trying to see the Super Bowl - even after knowing who won. (I admit to watching most of it with hubby.) I also enjoyed the lasagna story! (Sometimes it's best if our hubbies don't see us making the "taste adjustments."

Broni, here's hoping the right couple will view the boat this season and be thrilled to become its new owners! I hadn't really thought about a boat's interior being quite personal and needing to find a "good fit." Thanks for keeping us up-to-date! (And I'm glad you can keep enjoying her while she still belongs to you!)

Bean, Broni and V Viv, I hope you're both feeling better! And, Viv, you MUST take the tablets for your underactive thyroid! I know there are several others here with the same diagnosis - me included.

Happy Birthday to Rain, Heidi! Seems likely that your smilie could actually be of a younger Rain, since she was a show dog.

Hi, Bean! So nice to have another person around while posting! Well, if one foot looks better, maybe the other will be soon? Have you tried compression socks? (I know - it's HOT there. Who would want to wear knee-high socks?) Hubby has had some improvement with his swollen feet with acupuncture. BTW, there are winter crocs in the US with fleece lining.

Tami, You're right! I think your Dad has a guardian angel! Wishing all the best for a speedy recovery!

Great news on the right foot, Bean. I hope the left one follows suit. I'm having a similar problem with my feet. I can only get into moccasins and my work boots. (Lucky chewed up all my Crocs).

The canary eggs have not hatched. I don't think they will, now. Since this is their first attempt at it, I believe that there's a fertility problem.... as in the male not getting his part right.
