Hi folks. Hope you are all well today.
Re birthdays: Gails brother was last weekend...it is my brothers today and it was also my grandmothers. As a child we always felt he was her favourite. On one of the last occasions that my mother saw her she berated her for not telling her that Robert shared her birthday...
My aunt is now just like her mother [her siblings didn't live long enough for us to check out how strong the gene is]. Something for me to look forward to eh what? My cousin jokes about her old age and what her husband will do with her but it really isn't funny at all!

Back up from my nap. I exhausted myself clipping a collie. Chili was a mess, so rather than spending 5 hours trying to brush out mats, I decided to just give her a short haircut with my sheep shears. She looks ridiculous, but comfy. It got up to 90℉ (32℃) today, and she actually came outside out of the central air!
After I clipped her, Lucky came up and stood next to her. To my shock, he was taller than her!!! He has been growing like a weed!

Hi, Heidi! I'm glad you got a nap! I've been trying that lately, though didn't find the time today. Clipping instead of brushing out mats seems like such a good idea this time of year!

Chili's parents were family members, like Chili. Chili was a show dog, like her daddy. She's been retired for quite a while.

I think (don't quote me) that Richard is Gail's brother - or is it Robert? and Greg is in Nola's family (SIL or hubby?). I think I better start taking notes. I agree, it's safest just to wish a very Happy Birhday to anyone celebrating.

Heidi, I assumed all your rescues were neutered. Our neighbor across the street does lab (and everything else, really) rescue. They never let a dog be adopted until it is neutered.
