Gail, that's what I thought - I sent it to my kids with a note telling them NOT to let their kids do this (or even see the video)! One little girl (Emily) has no fear and would try it in a flash if she got the chance.

I might go and find something constructive to do - it is that time of day. All I've been doing for hours is lurking on these pages - it's too wet to do anything else.

I have to go out to the shops. The larder is running very bare. Last weekend was shopping weekend but as I was away, it didn't happen. Hubby and I decided to make do with whatever we had in the freezer etc, but there are a few fresh things I need to get in, like googs! We are having quiche tonight.

Cyn, Broni and anyone else from Brissie, hope you are all OK and have not developed webbed feet as yet.
Stella, love your tulip. Pleased I do not have to do all that driving that you do.
Rolanda, hope your Mum is feeling better. I have aloe vera growing and I put that on any burns immediately and it seems to stop the burning.
Love your quilt MizT. You will certainly have to get it finished this time.

We all had a lovely lunch and I have put a photo on my page.
I was lucky enough to have two photos up again today. 'Tough' and one I do not say anything about (as I said a few days ago) when his brother was on the same page.
Hi Suzy, your student must have turned up as we have not heard from you since!

OK I've definately had enough of this rain and if it was up to me it'd be heading to Victoria where it is much needed. Even our esteemed Premier Captain Bligh has officially declared the drought over in SE Qld. Our dam levels have risen by 7% in 12 hours and more to come. If they hadn't built the bigger dam (Wivenhoe) we'd be facing a flood the magnitute of the 1974 one. Over it!!!

Brisbane's dams were at 21% before we got any rain late last year, so we do understand.

Broni and CynB , Did you get flooding? Any damage your way?
ROLANDA, Half way is good, keep at it, you will get there. Hope you get more bog swamp time today. How is your hand?
JUNE, how was lunch with Dino and the sudoku meet?
JULIE, my doc recommended 300-400 mg a day of CoQ10 I found a good place online to buy, since that dosage is not found at local pharmacies.
HEIDI, how are the little turkeys doing? I am sure come fall, they will be much nicer than the ones in stores here.

SUZY, OCD is a hard thing to live with. I hope your tutoring will help her with her tests.
CYN, they do not make them like they used to! A transistor radio could run a loooong time without power.
SUZY, scary story about the wind. I avoid driving in rain if I can. Heck, not much here is urgent enough it cannot wait till a sunny say! That is life in the slow lane

I forgot I had a post started, and flipped over to see the photo from lunch yesterday. Lost all the lovely comments.
CYN, want me to turn the rain off for you? My cats think I have that ability and come beg me when it is raining hehehe.
GAIL, hope shopping was OK, and wish you could get some of the rain Broni and Cyn are getting. Heck would send you some of our extra, but not sure it could make the distance.

Good morning all! Getting ready to leave in a few minutes to see Bryana and then rush back for Ian's concert. I will be cutting it close, especially if there is traffic. I gave hubby the video camera just in case I get stuck, but he wasn't too happy about having it. Hopefully, I can do it.

Didn't you need to wait till the hay dried out a little after the rain Heidi? I'm not a farmer but thought that the hay would ferment or spoil if it was cut too wet?

Just got off talking to Richard on skype. Isn't technology great, so much better now being able to see people and chat with them than just hol;ding a conversation through typing.

It'll ferment and/or mold if it is baled or rolled when wet. The ground had dried by yesterday, and the hay will lay on the ground to dry for a few days. Then it will be raked into windrows, and rolled shortly thereafter. You can conceivably cut hay in the rain, but you can lose leaf on alfalfa by doing that. I have seen people cutting grass hay in the rain.

Rain Update - Things seem to have eased off here - hasn't rained heavily since last night. The radar looks like it all gone south but they keep saying more is coming. We're fine here but my son had trouble getting home yesterday afternoon - had to alter his route. If we get no more rain - flood waters will peak later today and start falling. Fingers crossed.
