Been putting it off : the packing, I find other things to do.. ie puzzels and games on the pooter.
I have overtaken the guest room ( #1 son's exbedroom) with clothes and stuff in some sort of law and order on the desk, and an empty suitcase on Mum's bed.

Heidi, there is no convenient place to get wet. We take a bus to the pool at least once a week. You DO NOT swim in lakes or canals in Florida. There is always a possibility of gators, and no, that is not a joke.

Rolanda, I can't believe that you are leaving in 4 days. Time has gone by so quickly.

I wasn't joking about the gators , Tami. My father lived in Florida (Delray Beach) and I visited there occasionally.

I know you weren't joking about the gators. I wanted to make sure everybody else knew it wasn't a joke. My in-laws live in Delray Beach. It is about 30 minutes away depending on where in Delray.

I don't remember the address. He had a gorgeous place right on the canal. His swimming pool was indoors.

It is 9:20 pm and it is still 90 degrees outside. It has been one hot day.

Sounds like it would be nice. The pools in my development are both outside and not screened in. I prefer screening, it keeps the bugs out.

And it's still 83℉ here. It's cooled down considerably.

I would welcome 83 degrees. I am going to sign off and say good night. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Better day here today - still overcast but not raining.
Hubby went to a meeting today - a co-op of businessmen from all fields who pass referrals onto one another. Sounds like a good idea but is expensive to join. The others say they have made their entrance fee back within a couple of weeks/months from referrals. We are still considering whather to join or not.
Does anyone else have any experience in this kind of thing?

June - I love the Dubbo Zoo and would love to take my grandies there, especially Emliy who has a great affinity with animals. Heidi - she'd LOVE your place!!

The chocolate incident was NOT funny at the time, there was too big a chance of disaster, but I was able to laugh about it the next day.

And my van smelled like chocolate for weeks. That was NOT a bad thing, it was good quality dark chocolate.

Heidi: Dark chocolate is a GREAT thing!! No matter where it is and where you smell it! Does THAT make sense???

It can make you a bit paranoid when you get covered in it, though.

Good maEn Friends. Approaching bed time here, and the temps have dropped to a balmy 80 degrees. But that may be nearly as low as they go, the dew point is still so high, temp cannot drop below the dew point, which is at 75 now. So very Muggy out, yuck.

I should not complain so much, kitties are being bothered by the heat. Scooter comes in and lies in front of the fan. Gee, I imagine wearing a fur coat in this heat could be pretty bad.

Tami, any way to get water ON the kids, since you cannot get them into water?

Heidi, are you having more t storms tonight? Tonight on the news, they showed a storm system north of us in Tennessee, but I did not see if it went into KY or not. Did you get more tranquilizers for the doggies?

ROLANDA, good luck getting packed, having your Mom to help will be nice, she just got back from a long overseas trip. she might have some handy tips.

CynB, if I win the lottery, I already have a plan in place for seeing Australia. I plan on chartering a business jet that has a bedroom, so I can sleep most of the way hehehe. NO arriving 2 hours early, able to fly out of our small local airport, no changing planes, Yep, I could do nicely if I won the lottery hehehe.

We're supposed to get thunderstorms starting about 1 AM. Fortunately, that line you saw went south of us. That was a nasty one.

The Collies are finishing their suppers, so I'm off to bed as soon as they do. Besides the central air in the house, I have a fan over my bed, so I stay comfy at night.
