We're having a pot-luck this evening for the Lion's Club. I need to make my contribution soon.... but I may not have enough room in the fridge.... I'm defrosting 25 thick ribeye steaks, also for the meeting.

Good morning Heidi! How are you?? I only have a problem on the desktop, I don't on the laptop. It's an error on MSN, if I go to Yahoo! I don't have a problem with it...However, I was able to get on Easy on the desktop the other day, it seems to be intermittent.

Heidi: Is Karen having a c-section or going (yikes!!) natural?

It sounds like she's going natural. I would have said "Yikes" to c-section instead.

Good morning all! Sorry that I don't have time to catch up. Been trying to catch up with everything here! With all(or at least 3) of the kids in the house, everything is in a perpetual state of chaos! So much to do, so little time!

Rolanda, hope you have your packing done and are in the final stages. Have a safe trip and have fun! (wish I could go:(

I don't like those abdominal incisions. They take too long to heal completely.

This is a good day. Welcome back eaa, So good to see you around.
I thought I read that Karen was having a c-section...and yes, the incision does take forever to heal...I had my second one that way....
I went to the doctor's today to see if I could speed up my recovery, and am now on antibiotics and steroids...guess I'll never sleep again...but I will get over this infection.....
Have a great day/night doing something enjoyable...like Heidi's nap...
I have a board meeting tonight so won't be posting again today most likely.

Mamacita, I'm glad the doc is helping you to get better sooner, but agree that antibiotics and steroids are not nice. Thoughts and wishes from me!

MizT and Brenda, I thought my memory started to go about the time I had children - way earlier than 50! Actually, I'm not 50 yet and I have no memory...

Heidi, Ally is singing at a Lions Club changeover dinner tomorrow night. Not our local club though, one further up the coast. It took 4 times being told it was a changeover dinner before I remembered that!

Can she come to our Lion's Club dinner tonight? Maybe this is short notice. I have to start the grill for the steaks in 1 hour.

It's only 86℉ (30℃ ) but I'll be working over a hot grill. Thank goodness my epidural is tomorrow morning so I can lay in bed all day tomorrow recovering.

Heidi, with your back the way it is, couldn't you ask someone else to grill the steaks just this once? Though I have to say that right now the idea of laying in bed all day sounds very appealing...

That'll be my reward.

One last thing before leaving.... the pair of Gouldian finches now have 6 eggs in their clutch, and they haven't started brooding yet! I have a good feeling this time.

HEIDI, good luck with the finches, hope you get viable babies this time.

MAMA, Karen had a C section and produced the infant at 7:55 am. All the information she will part with at the moment, she wants to be the one to tell details later.

Suzanne, having had a c-section and a natural delivery, I will go natural anytime. The recovery time is a lot quicker. I had my c-section first and thought number 2 would also be a C. My doctor had a different idea.
Wishing Karen all the best on her new bundle of joy.

Heidi, good luck with the finches. Can you send me a steak? I really don't feel like cooking tonight.
MizTricia, I don't think I will be able to go to Daytona on Friday. I am hoping I can work something out for Saturday. Heidi and others are planning to stay for the weekend so I might, at least, be able to meet some of the people.

TTT: don't care what you say, STILL wouldn't do it!!!

Empty house! Well, not really. The kids are gone but Mum and hubby are still here... sigh.

I don't have any kids, but I've had my belly split open (8 inch incision) and I wouldn't want to go through that recovery unless it were a matter of life and death.

The meeting and meal went well. The steaks were grilled to perfection, if I do say so myself.

Glad the meal went well Heidi. I was actually lucky when I had my c-section. They did a bikini cut that is barely visible now.

Yesterday we had to stay indoors all afternoon because of high heat. Today we had to stay indoors because of thunder boomers. We were supposed to go swimming today but got rained out. It is supposed to rain most of the week. It is going to be a looooooooong week.

As long as there is no lightning, playing in the rain is fun, and cooling.

Very quiet tonight. I should go feed the dogs early, since I should go to bed early for the 8 am epidural.
I will be disobeying the doctors orders tomorrow. I am not allowed to drive myself home after the epidural. IH scheduled a flight for 1 pm. He won't have time to take me to the hospital, wait until I'm done, drive me back home (arrive home ~ 11 am ) then drive 1 hour to the airport and be there 2 hours before the flight. Can't be done. So I will tell the doctor that he's running errands, and will pick me up at the hospital when I'm done, and instead drive myself home.
Of course, he scheduled this trip AFTER learning when my epidural was.
