Hmm...what was Judy doing that she didn't notice the earth shake...

"Melbourne has been rocked by an earth tremor, with worried residents reporting buildings shaking across the metropolitan area.

The tremor was felt at 8.55pm and measured 4.7 on the Richter Scale, according to the US Geological Survey.

It was centered 5.5km north-west of Korumburra in South Gippsland and was 8km deep"

Made all the windows rattle, the dog bark, walls sway [hadn't had a drink]....Lachie was at the computer and noted that his monitor, desk etc moved...he was communicating with Hannah at the time and they experienced it in Cockatoo...

Map on the following link to give you an idea of the location

Outlook has been up to tricks today.
I apologise to any body that received multiple emails from me.
I think I deleted and halted things before it got out of hand...

I won't be driving to pick up Brendan. Meghan doesn't want to drive to get her mouth checked by the surgeon today. Normally, you go back in a week to make sure everything is ok, but Meghan goes back to school tomorrow. Her face is swollen on the left side and is still very sore. The two wisdom teeth on that side must have been harder than the two on the right to get out. I do remember the xrays showing that one of them was sideways. Poor kid hasn't been able to get her school work done and she has midterms and papers due next week.

Ian called from school yesterday to tell me his flute was missing. I'm so upset. Apparently, the last time he remembers seeing it is when he left it in the hall outside the band room LAST FRIDAY! If we had known, we could have been looking for it. His music teacher made him call us when she found out we didn't know. The worst part is that it was my brother's flute when he was young (12-13) and went to Julliard. He played that flute at Carnegie Hall. I'm just sick about the whole thing. Ian's still hoping that it will turn up. I'm praying that it will.

Today is not good, husband has a bad migraine (with vomiting) d#1 has bad head and has lost her voice (she is a teacher so is off work) and S has a bad foot, a blister on the bottom of his foot which burst and skin has come off.
Only D#2 healthy and at school.
I woke up with a headache but have worked through it. I have a feeling that it had something to do with the dark chocolate husband and I ate last night. We haven't had any dark choc for a long time.

Good Maen Sudokuland!

Smilies have returned, so I can do a proper invitation to coffee this morning. Al and I are off to the dentist and pharmacy shortly. He has broken his dentures again, same place, hope they can do a better repair this time! I just need a refill, suppose I should call ahead, saves time, sometimes.

MizT.... has he tried repairing them himself with superglue and baking soda? Drop the superglue on the joint, while holding the broken sides together, then immediately sprinkle baking soda liberally on it. Wait 10 minutes and sand smooth. It'll hold like new.

Heidi, he has not tried repairing them himself. Now he has before glued a tooth back in ( on his older set). I will tell him about the baking soda thing. Do you know how that works? why it is better than just super glue?

Dentists put a piece of metal across the break, embeded in the gum part of the denture. they think this will help. this was the third time broken at same place, and when eating soft food, too. I am wondering about the fit, something is putting a LOT of stress on the dentures to snap them exactly half in two/ He is happy to have them back today. No lunch out, but we had picked up some nice bakery bread, came home and made tuna sandwiches that were mighty tasty.

Kitties were happy to clean out the tuna can for me too hehe.

Lovely spring day here today. windows opened for fresh air and the cooler breeze. My kind of day.

Tricia, I opened a small tin of sandwich tuna to make Ken a sandwich the other day and Laura got quite upset about me putting 'cat food' on Pa's sandwich. I added some mayonnaise, red onion and lettuce.

Morning all!
Bean - I didn't receive ANY emails from you - hmmph.
Brenda - sorry to hear about the migraines, lost voices etc...
Stella - I hope Meghan's mouth feels better soon. I'm so sorry to hear about the flute - immeasurable sentimental value.
MizT - that repair sounds like it should last!
Crafts disease...

June, the kitties thought we were eating their food, for sure! One was asleep down the hall, in my sewing room. Smell of tuna brought her to the kitchen, alas to late to get any tuna juice. I had to give her a tad of the tuna salad to make her happy. she left the pickle relish but did not mind the mayonnaise or eggs.

The 2 heifers are at the stockyard. Just had another bull calf. That brings the total to 30 calves. Only 8 to go, I think. This year we're not having as many calves as usual, since I sold every cow with a temper. I've gotten too old and broken down to tolerate a cow getting me down and beating the cr*p out of me. Again.
