I think it's ridiculous to have Daylight savings start in winter.

We were caught in the snow storms in Boston area Monday morning, had 60+ degree temperatures the past 2 days, and now my spring allergies have started. Don't you just love the crazy weather?

Thanks for letting me know about the rain in Dino's area. I'm 15 pages behind in my reading, so need to find time to get caught up - but we MUST get to work on tax preparation!

So, um, Heidi, um, your light isn't on. Is it because you're getting ready to shut down for the night?

Had a busy day today - weeded and pruned and chopped and mulched. Sunny, but not too hot, just a lovely day for gardening. Rob went a leetle bit overboard on the pruning (in MY opinion!), but he says bare sticks are a fashion statement in the garden, and anyway it will all grow back pretty soon...
Finished off with Noodle Box (take-away) for tea, then he watched football, and I saw two episodes of Lost.

We saw some new birds in the garden - cheeky, colourful little critters, never seemed to stay still for long. They seemed to love our fuschias - Rob got some very pretty photos. Later identified them as New Holland Honeyeaters - maybe they've been around before, but neither of us recognised them. They were very cute, and let us get quite close to them.

Well, I could keep this up for a while, but it's about 20 posts to the next TOPP, and that could be a bit excessive, so I think I'll just say Good Night everyone! :)

Good Night to Judy and all the other DUGS and good morning to my topsider friends.
I am having coffee to try to shake the cobwebs from my brain, anyone want to join me?
We will be very warm again today, 78F (25C) and had a low of 57(14C) last night, really warm overnight, but it was and still is cloudy. that is like pulling up a blanket to keep all the warmth.

Susan, I do not know if your cyclones are like ours, but the area north east of the eye can get a LOT of rain. The circulating rain bands can dump water and also spawn tornadoes, so keep a weather eye open! Where I live we are often in that north eastern area, I speak from experience.

Heidi, one cup of tea for you! I had my tea last night, decaf tea, when I could not sleep. Need the coffee with a wee bit of caffeine this morning to clear the brain fog.

I get to go to the airport and pick up the last pair of finches.
But first, I'll be visiting someone about 10 minutes from the airport. They breed Gouldian finches, chickens, and dogs, as well as show them. They have champion Irish Wolfhounds and Dachshunds. I'm not buying, just want to see their critters. I MAY come home with a rooster, though.

OH good, I am glad the last of your birdies will fly home to you today. You have waited a long time.
Enjoy your critter visit, sounds like you will be meeting someone of like mind, raising all those critters, but I think you have way more critters and more variety also. Have a safe trip, sounds like you have a good day for it.

Our weather will be about the same as yours today. High of 75, low in mid 50's. Very spring-like. Partly cloudy, partly sunny. But it looks ONLY cloudy to me.

I am happy to see daylight savings time! It is almost spring, two more weeks till the " offical" date.
I do think people who live in the Eastern edge of a time zone look forward to Daylight Savings Time more than those who live on the Western edge of a time zone. My sister lives close to the western edge of the EASTERN time zone, much like Heidi, and they have daylight almost an hour longer in the evenings than I do, year round.

It looks only cloudy here today at the moment, with a promise it shall begin to clear by afternoon.
Yesterday I saw many Bradford Pear Trees beginning to bloom. these warm temps will tempt them and other things to bloom. My pear trees are not yet opening, but they always seem to be later than others.

Good morning Tricia & Heidi.Glad you are getting some lovely spring like weather. The trees blooming and daffodils coming out shortly paint a pretty picture.Have a nice ride with Challenger and also enjoy your new birds Heidi. They really have striking colours.
Can't sleep. It doesn't help that I burnt the back of my leg on sons bike muffler a week ago.The skin is peeling off, leaving it red raw and it is right where I sit unless I sit on the edge of the chair. The silly things we do!

Already today I had to change from winter clothes. I had corded pants, heavy, and a long sleeve heavy knit shirt, long sleeve of course. doing ffuts today, I got too warm very quickly. Windows opened, fan bringing in cooler air, light weight capris and a short sleeve shirt and I am much cooler now! We do not have the breezes we had yesterday, air is heavy and humid and still.

Nola. That sounds hideous!
Challenger was awful. He acted like he'd never been in harness or traces before. Rearing.... bolting..... spinning around. I worked him 'til we were both tired, but only in a 2 acre paddock. I didn't think he was behaving well enough for the road.
