It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

Nola - take care - that cyclone looks like it will hit Bundaberg as a Category 3 Cyclone if it continues on it's present course. Got a niece in Rockhampton who's also in the path of it while still C4.

Congrats, Judy on your TOPP.
Heidi's DVD must have held her interest for her to miss a TOPP.
But Judy, shame on you, eating Bambi! Just joking, Joyce - it's just me, I can eat meat until I think of the animal it came from, then I just can't continue. Yet - I can eat seafood not a problem!

Yes Ma'am! Shared a brioche with Rob (delicious!) and had a healthy plum as well.
Lots of people don't like eating meat, but are quite happy to eat fish. My youngest daughter is one of these. When I was young I had to stay at the table until I'd eaten everything on my plate. I remember sitting there, crying, when everyone else had gone, because I didn't like something I'd been given.
"How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?"

I just got an email that saddens me. It looks like Bonnie (one of my Foster Collies) may have a new home.

Cyn, Had you read the Bees book? Was the movie as good as the book? I have not seen the movie, but enjoyed the book muchly.

Judy, we eat venison about 4 days a week. I have a freezer full, enough to last till next deer hunting season. Now how was your "pie" made? Might be a new recipe for me, always looking for something new. We eat venison because it is so low in fat and cholesterol. Normally we eat NO beef, unless we are in a situation where that is all that is available. Has not happened often in the last 5 years.

CynB, has the cyclone made landfall yet? Last report I saw of it's expected path, it was going parallel to the coast, which is not too good. It can pick up speed and strength over the water and still dump a lot of rain and some winds even, to the coastline as it goes past.

Heidi, I think you have enough collies to share. And knowing you, I am sure there will be other collies to come to you in the future, too. I am glad Bonnie has found a new home. Just send her off with love.

It is getting on toward bedtime for me. I am only waiting for night time meds to make me sleepy, and that should not be long.

Have a good Sunday afternoon for the DUGS and my fellow Americans, tonight we spring forward.

Heidi, we parents know our children are not with us forever. We have them for a while and then they go out into the world. It is not always easy, but we give them their wings, and off they go. I know you will miss Bonnie, but hope this is a good move for her.

Thanks for the reminder. My atomic clock in my bedroom doesn't like Dubya, and will not acknowledge Daylight Savings so early in the year.

Besides, if I had 17 children, I probably would not miss one that went missing hehehe.

Heidi, my computer clock does not recognize it this early either. I can change it manually, but then would have to change it again on the "old" date. In the fall, when the difference was only for one week, I just left it be. Springtime, it being longer till the old date, I might have to change it. For some reason, Al's computer changes with the new dates. So since it is not a problem for him, he has not searched for a patch to fix this on my puter.

Heidi, when will Bonnie be moving to her new home? Now don't you go teaching her bad habits, so she will not work out!

as the owner of both children and a dog, i gotta say...a dog is nothing like a child. it is my pet peeve when people say their dogs are their children. i adore my very cool, amazing and perfect dog. however, he doesn't even compare to how i feel about the kids. i still love you though heidi.

Mariana, there is a lot of difference in my cats and my kids, even though I call my cats my furbabies. My cats eat less, make less messes, mind better, and are more affectionate than my children. They are also a lot more entertaining. children grew out of the entertaining stage just before they became teenagers.

Good Night mariana, sleep well.

And I shall turn around and climb into my bed also. there are still more things I hope to do tomorrow, that I did not finish today and a good nights sleep would help a lot.

I don't know when Bonnie is going. She was badly abused in her previous home, and I have had to really work with her to get her to trust people again. There's a long way to go yet, but she is a LOT better now.

I hope her new family can continue to work with her to help her overcome her early life.

I really am going this time, I really am, I think.

The person who wants her is a very experienced dog person. So I'm told. Remember.... this isn't carved in stone yet. The family that wanted Mason decided on another, younger, collie instead.
