Very Well and safe here Brenda and enjoying the elements! A lovely spring day this has become, a gentle breeze, sunny blue skies, warm temp, and Al and I got some ffuts done today so house is looking better. Will need part of another day, but I am getting old and creaky, just takes me longer than it once did. We will get it done, later.

Hi MizT know all about being creaky. We are still going through the boxes in the attic.
Trouble is we keep finding intersting, thing we had forgotten about, and start looking at them making us take more time than we should to clear the boxes.

I'm tired this morning - friends 50th birthday party last night! The girls had the camera so if I have a photo of her I will post it. She looked absolutely gorgeous! First time I can remember seeing her in a dress.

Baseball today, and finishing replacing the bathroom ceiling...

Brenda and MizT, hope the aches and pains are better soon. I'm looking forward to having the painting and re-ceilinging finished so my house can look normal again...

i'm off to confuse myself over wood stain samples. gotta match wood flooring, with wood windows, with wood mouldings, with woodwork. all different types of wood and i don't want them all to be the same color. i need help!

on the bright side, the kids were champion helpers today. all chores are done, and everyone is hanging out and playing cute.

brenda- what ever happened with your roof saga? have plans been laid for spring construction to start? will the insurance cover it?

Mariana, we have done nothing about the roof yet, waiting for the weather to improve.

Going to the airport in a couple of hours to say goodbye to Aunt and Uncle, they are heading back to Sydney for the last 2 weeks of their holiday, before flying back home to Holland.

Broni I am ok, started the day with a realy bad headache but it has eased now just in time to go to bed

Good Early Evening, SA8. This is almost a record early time for me - just after 6 pm. Of course, I have a ton of ffuts to do - and still haven't figured out if I should be treating allergies or a cold. One of my brothers suggested drinking apple cider vinegar in water. Not exactly yummy, bit if it works . . .

I am back.

What a day. The only good part is the finches.... they are wonderful.
The people I was to visit gave me their address and told me to use MapQuest for directions. I did. MapQuest was delusional. Wherever they are is nowhere near where I went. My cell phone is broken so I couldn't call. I even stopped a local postal delivery person. He'd never heard of their road. After driving around for 45 minutes looking for it, I gave up and went to the airport. Only to find that the flight was nearly an hour late. But once it got there, they rushed the finches out to me..... after a bunch of employees photographed them, saying that they're the most beautiful birds they've ever seen.

Since nobody else is here, I'm gonna relax with a DVD.

Brenda, I live just outside of Ft. Lauderdale. About 3 hours south of Disney World. Have you ever been to Florida?

Hello friends! Went out this morning to our local "farmers market". Had a nice wander around, bought some fresh fruit and veggies, jams, cakes, etc. We really enjoyed our wandering, even though we probably spent more than usual - but then, we don't usually buy special soft cheeses, brioches (will try one in a minute!) and (for Rob!) a selection of organic
beers!

Good morning lovely SA8 people - I have missed you all. Have had a busy few days with Mother/Daughter day with Karin ( we do that every second Friday) and then had grandie Emily for a sleepover by herself on Fri night - took her to the movies yesterday and then her family cam eto pick her up and stayed for a barbie - I was even too exhausted to turn on my pooter until today.

Oh darn, Judy - you just reminded me I wanted to return to our local market (Cleveland - Broni) to see one of the stall-holders about something I bought there last week. I forgot and they'll be closing soon - too late, try for next Sunday.

Great to see you back, Suzy. You were MIA last time I posted.
Saw two movies in the last two days -
"The Secret Life of Bees" with Karin on Friday - good chick-flick 8/10.
"Hotel for Dogs' with Emily AND Poppy (she insisted Colin had to come with us - hehehe!) - not the worst kids movie I've seen. (9/10 from Em, 6/10 from us.)

Hmm, just had a venison pie for lunch! Don't know that I could taste much difference (I'm eating Bambi!) but it's supposed to be very low in cholesterol and very good for us. (It certainly was expensive!) Also had organic grapes, and now might go and try some of the plums. Or should I go for the rich chocolate brioche? (yum!) We don't seem to have saved much - must ignore the "luxury" items next time and just buy the cheap, healthy stuff.
But it all looks so GOOD! ;)
