It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

Good Maen everyone! Allergies are better, it helps to have the windows closed here when the wind starts blowing (as it did last nite before bed). Thanks for all the good wishes & concern.
Dizzy Lizzy: I love the song reference! I remember a radio show called "The Dr. Demento Show" on Sunday nights after 10 p.m. That is where several comedians got their start. Too Funny!!
Hope everyone is well...Will pop by again later,TTFN everyone.

Morning all!
Vici, so soon until you can move in! I'd be bursting with excitement and I bet you are too.

Liz, I've felt like someone was going to come to take me away for a while now...

Suzanne, glad the allergies are better. I discovered during our dust storm that we get quite strong wind gusts 'around' tightly closed windows and doors....

Suzy, you actually need to have some air circulation, it's when there is a gale blowing through that you need worry! Dust will get in the smallest of gaps.

Good morning/evening everyone.
Glad you are feeling better Suzanne!
I can't remember anything about what I read...just the words of "there coming to take me away"
Gail...We moved to Adelaide in 1984.Greg was in the Army and we traveled around a bit.Built our 1st home in Reynella and stayed there until Greg finished 20yrs service in 1992,then moved back to the East coast near family.
We found Adelaide a beautiful city where everything was central.Too cold in winter though for me.

Hello, Everyone! Just popping in to wish all of you a great day!

I think I should explain my avatars. I take a day when I might have an hour or two free (none recently). I think of a category, as stained glass or tie-dye (my most recent). I do a search and find everything I think might work well and save them in my Images/Pictures file, for example "avatar stained glass peacock 1". The next time I might have an hour free, I go to the saved images and start sizing them to the 50 x 50 size and save them again, for example "avatar stained glass peacock1.50x50." The next time I find a spare hour, I submit 10 or so correctly sized images and wait for approval. I am still hoping and waiting for Gath to develop a system for grouping them so that it's easier than scrolling through 100 avatars. (Hint: if anyone else is also interested in such a system for classifying/grouping avatars or smilies, please email Gath. Gail started a Forum page on which a number of people have commented on the need, and Gath commented that he was working on it. However, we don't yet have a system available to us.)

Suzanne, I hope your allergies are getting better.

Prayers for continued recovery of Sharon and Rob!

Thinking of Heidi and MizT and hoping for relief from back pain, etc., as soon as possible! We miss you!

June, I hope you did well at bowls! Do you still have Laura with you?

Cyn, it sounds like a good time was had by all at the beach! A wonderful way to make memories!

Lizzy, thoughts of you and Jan and her family at her Mum's funeral!

Vici, things are coming together at last! Did you tell us what color carpet will be installed? (I know you promised us pictures.) Hope all goes well with the installation and move-in!

Thinking of those who have travel coming soon, as Vici and Brenda!

Suzy, I like your cute little car! Have you found a people-size car that will fit the bill for your family?

I'm starting to think I may have allergies as well - when I wake up in the morning and let Gizzy go out for morning run around in the garden, the sneezing starts, wow, I then think maybe I'm getting a cold, but within half an hour it has settled, must be something in bloom around here.

Good evening all.
Vici, I have become a bigger troublemaker as I got older. I didn't cause a lot of trouble in school, I spent most of my time daydreaming.
Brenda, When you come to Florida we will be leaving hotter and going into hot.
Lizzy, my thoughts will be with you tomorrow. I know it will not be an easy day.
Don't remember anything else.

Hi everyone!
For those who were asking about Rob - I'm foreseeing a very LONG six weeks ahead! He went back to work this morning, and SAYS he will be sensible ... mmmm, but can he be trusted? I was working in the garden yesterday, and I could tell he was just itching to get out there and help. Not allowed to go to the gym, not allowed to do anything much - he's going to go crazy!

First time I have been here to comment for a few days...Well the foot has been attended to [X-ray and Ultrasound] - it hasn't been chopped off...
Gail was very busy in my absence... organised Lachie to get the extension ladder down and take some measurements so we can get some tank fittings tomorrow...want to get it plumbed in. Scared that all the rain will stop if I do... Murphy rules supreme around here...LOL

I see Rob has been in and out of hospital in my absence... Judy gas caught the gardening bug...Vici yabbered on until she had a TOPP...and her carpet goes down Thursday...Tricia & Heidi still MIA... we now know how Julie does it...Lizzie is destined for the funny farm...like the rest of us... TTT is getting worse with age...Suzanne has been sneezing... lots of people have lots of dust... even as far away as Stevenage...David Campbell...ooh Suzy... ♥♥...David H scores ♥♥♥ from me...Nola I am forgetting things now...

Suzy has been wondering where T-Vaz's brain is at ... umM I am wondering who T-Vaz is and I'm going to feel REALLY SILLY when I find out...

I now have my foot back on ice to help it recover from the shock of all the prodding and poking... dosed up on pain killers before hand but ultrasound still not pleasant.

Gail has been working on a bed that I've been trying to get planted out for 2 years... it is looking very beautiful with all the plants in...
Gail...at the risk of you getting a big head... you are TOPPS..

I love to be on the end of a spade planting things and naturally it is my dominant foot that I have hurt... I will have to learn how to dig with my L foot when I am allowed to do a little more in the garden...

Bean, be patient if you try to do things you will prolong the problem with your foot. I know you know that but you are impatient and need to be told. When will you get the result of the ultrasound?
I'm pleased you asked who T-Vaz is as I was wondering the same thing.

HI everyone -- I have had the saddest day today at the funeral, its obvious to me now that my job in aged care has in fact changed me, I went to this funeral today, thinking it would be no different to a resident's funeral,
Oh brother was I wrong, the first song
Amazing grace sung by Nana Mouskouri, set me of and I cried so hard I could hardly breathe,
then in the eulogy they bring in that I have reffered to her as a second Mum, that set me off again, after the church and cemetary we all went to Jans sisters place for drinks, that was nice, and we did heaps of reminiscing, cried and laughed it was perfect.
for all your lovely support,

Hi Brenda, hope he is buffed too!

Have you been chasing around today? It seems like most people seem to be doing that... I've just been off and played another word on lex.

Today we signed all the paperwork to see if we could refinance the house. Now we just have to wait and see....

Suzy, I have never met Celia's friend he lives in Wales where she was brought up. He is more than a friend he was her ex husband's half brother. Just remember that Celia is 73 and he is around the same age so doubt he is buff

Now you've gone and done it Brenda - you've set off memories and giggles again. Several years ago we went to Bondi beach with the girls. There was a man there who had to be at least 73, as tanned as it is probably possible to get, and with all the wrinkles that go with that amount of tanning - wearing a g-string.
