Pleased to hear that Rob's through his op and surely will be on the mend now, after the initial no lifting period he should be as good as new (well maybe not new we all have our aches and pains as we get older)

Hello Lovely SA8 people!! I've been a bit MIA for the last few days. Nothing wrong, just lazy. Still having allergy issues (lousy weekend--all I did was SNEEZE!) I feel better today.
Darrell & I went to Park City last Friday (had lunch with my friend Janet Thursday--she works as an optical manager at Wal-Mart--she worked quite a few split shifts last week, so had to switch days with D). The fall colors are starting to show up there, it was very pretty. I read the last 8 pages I missed, can't remember anything!! Hope everyone is well...I promise to stop by soon, Take care, TTFN!

It would be lovely to see the trees changing colour as where I live,it is a rarity to even see one.

Nola, we have a couple of colour changing trees in our garden. We had to chop down a maple as it was right outside our neighbour's bedroom window. We planted another one on the other side of the yard though. It's still very young but will have a better season now that I've put up a barrier so the lawnmower can't eat it!

I had a maple in Adelaide and it was just getting a go on when we left.I think I saw it change colour twice.That was 16yrs ago,so it could be beautiful by now if it is still there.

We also have a chinese tallowood. (I think that's how to spell it) The colours on that one are best after a dry season.

Australia has enough poisonous spiders and snakes,so I hope we don't get it if we haven't got it already.

I have some deciduous trees in my yard. Love the autumn colours.
I did do some dusting yesterday. The recent dust on top of what was there before was just toooo much. Still lots more to do! Bowls today.Ken will take Laura to daycare and then his day at work. MIL will be home by herself. Will be nice to get away for awhile.

Thinking healing thoughts for Rob and Sharon! June, enjoy your bowls and go for a win! Good for those getting rain, but wish more of you who need it could get it! Wish I could blame the layers of dust all over my house on dust blowing in from other parts. Nope, just haven't gotten to it in too many weeks. Suzanne, hoping for an improvement in your allergies! I seem to have forgotten everything else.

Missing those who haven't been here in a while - or a BIG while, which is the case for several.

Hello lovely people.
Bit late today - absolutely exhausted after our day at the beach. 2 out of 3 girls were asleep by the time we hit the highway on the way home, so we had a lovely peaceful trip home. It was a perfect weather day and I did have a bit of a dip with the grandies.
Judy - pleased all went well with Rob's op.
Nola - know how you feel, not much in autumn colours in Brissie either.
Suzanne - sorry you're still having allergy issues.

Cyn pleased to hear that you had a good day at the beach... I'm jealous of the dip in the sea with the grandies. I love swimming in the sea.

So do I, Brenda - swimming in the sea, I mean. I enjoy it so much more than a swimming pool. I think with me it's nostalgia - memories of annual holidays at the beach with our family, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents - we seemed to go in crowds. My Mum always insisted we rent a unit but the aunts often camped nearby and we kids just had unlimited freedom to swim, play, roam all day - they knew we'd turn up somewhere for food. Ah, memories!

Hehehe! Lizzie - that's for your fun song. I remember when that was a hit in the states...then they took it off the air because the folks in the mental hospitals (and their caretakers) felt is was so unkind. I guess I can see their point. Oh Lizzie - my costume is very chic and I will most likely be the envy of all the on-lookers at the restaurant!

Suzy - EWWWWWWWWWW! Creepy link! But perfect for the season. I'm thankful there will probably be nuclear holocaust before that dreaded spider makes it north enough to reach me.
Suzanne - so good to see you back. Sorry about your allergies. I made the trip over the pass to Reno yesterday and loved seeing the Aspens dotting the landscape in their bright fall color.

Judy - so glad Rob got through the day. Mike had a similar experience when he had his hand surgery. They had him there at 8 a.m. (starving, off course) and didn't get him into surgery until mid-afternoon also. It was a grueling day for him until he got the sedatives just before surgery. Hope Rob gets a good meal this morning!

Julie - always love your avatars...how do you find the energy? If I've had a busy day the first thing I do is shut down the computer!
Lizzie - keeping you and Jan in my thoughts today.
Cyn - your day sounded lovely, although tiring...hard to keep up with those kids, huh?
