Back for a few minutes! Suzy I have heard Tribute - I remember it was very funny, though the details are blurred now (it was more than a day ago ....!)

I sure do.
Just googled the lyrics, trying to put it into my head again, it's been a while. Weird.
Oddly, I don't remember there being any of those 'extra' words in it!

"Tribute"

[Spoken]
This is the greatest and best song in the world... Tribute.

Long time ago me and my brother Kyle here,
we was hitchhikin' down a long and lonesome road.
All of a sudden, there shined a shiny demon... in the middle... of the road.
And he said:
[Sung]
"Play the best song in the world, or I'll eat your soul." (soul)
[Spoken]
Well me and Kyle, we looked at each other,
and we each said... "Okay."
[Sung]
And we played the first thing that came to our heads,
Just so happened to be,
The Best Song in the World, it was The Best Song in the World.

Look into my eyes and it's easy to see
One and one make two, two and one make three,
It was destiny.
Once every hundred-thousand years or so,
When the sun doth shine and the moon doth glow
And the grass doth grow...

Needless to say, the beast was stunned.
Whip-crack went his Whoopy tail,
And the beast was done.
He asked us: "(snort) Be you angels?"
And we said, "Nay. We are but men."
Rock!
Ahhh, ahhh, ahhh-ah-ah,
Ohhh, whoah, ah-whoah-oh!

This is not The Greatest Song in the World, no.
This is just a tribute.
Couldn't remember The Greatest Song in the World, no, no.
This is a tribute, oh, to The Greatest Song in the World,
All right! It was The Greatest Song in the World,
All right! It was the best ^^^^^^^^^^^^' song the greatest song in the world.
[2-part skat]
[Spoken]
And the peculiar thing is this my friends:
the song we sang on that fateful night it didn't actually sound
anything like this song.
[Sung]
This is just a tribute! You gotta believe it!
And I wish you were there! Just a matter of opinion.
Ah, ^^^^! Good God, God lovin',
So surprised to find you can't stop it.
[Skat]
All right! All right!

They are said so quick I didn't know they were there until I saw the lyrics written down. Hubby got the CD for his birthday and the kids insist on hearing it over and over every time we get in the car. It's the only song they're allowed to listen to on the whole CD. It was played 5 or 6 times today to and from baseball.

Slight pause. Hubby says, well... tribute.

No Gail my ffuts are all done for the moment - Rob is watching a movie that looks deep and meaningful, hence me not being there! I need fun and relaxing in the evenings.

Seeing as I have three lunches to enjoy out this week I really should not eat much at my other meals.
But tomorrow after doing a couple of Avon calls I am off to the hairdressers for my foils again.
Got to look bootiful for the lunches you know. Hehehehhe

I am half way through re-doing my address book in outlook express.
Ethan is due home any minute. He worked from 4.30pm to 9.30pm this evening.

Here he comes now through the gate. The boss has dropped him and his bike off. He got a puncture on the way to work he says.
You nearly have to fumigate him when he comes in the house, the smell on him from the fish and chips is so stronggggggggggggggggg. (Insert smiley holding his nose here). Heheheheh

Sorry Viv - I had a good run on Tetris and just couldn't stop! Yes we'll be home for Christmas. Daughter No. 2 is coming down from Queensland and she'll have to go to her fiance's place for part of the day, so we can't really go anywhere. Also this year my sister will be coming to join us, since she's "persona non grata" with my parents at the moment - will try to make it extra special for her. Not sure if younger daughter's boyfriend will be joining us - his grandparents will probably be roasting a lamb (they're Greek) - last year we had a bit of an "incident" with the turkey, and I got a little er, flustered. Apparently he later told Laura that he now knew where she got her temperament - what a rude boy! Wonder if he'll show up, or if I've scared him away!

I promised myself that this year I would get Christmas cards done. I haven't. Again. I will do them tonight. (Maybe)
We're off tomorrow for 5 days to Tinaroo Dam near Cairns - waterskiing etc. I'll be chilling most of the time - I don't like boats, but will watch the kids a bit. I don't think we'll have internet access.

Ooh Susan, at the moment messing about in boats doesn't sound that appealing - chilling is a good word for what we're doing in Melbourne, and not in a good way! Rain, rain, rain, and it's COLD!

We had a spectacular storm this afternoon, Judy, and it cooled the place off beautifully. I can't understand the appeal of speed boats at all - bone shattering to say nothing of bottom busting. I'll be taking Sudoku books, logic puzzles, magazines, chocolate etc - the good life. MOTH thought I'd camp there. I don't think so.

I agree Susan - I'm a real chicken about "exciting" rides. And my camping days are definitely over - nowadays I want (or need?) a bit of luxury when I'm on holiday - otherwise I might as well stay at home!

I'm back. I wasn't doing Christmas cards. I don't mind camping Judy if we're going bush, but if we're in a civilised area, I really don't like communal showers, toilets and kitchens. Trying to keep food cold for days, and protecting your gear just would add to the 'fun'.

Started a post before that I ended up scrapping when it reached mini novelette proportions as to why we need to go back to see the Rocky Horror Show...to see all the bits we missed....It went like this...

Slept in late and by the time I'd read the Sunday paper [or part of it] in bed it was too late to get on here. We were booked for the 2pm show. 10' before we were due to leave the phone rang...we let it go to the answering machine [our 1st big mistake...]...
