Good Morning SA7, haven't caught up on the goss yet.

Nola, I will be toasting with you by my palm trees. Most of the US is covered with snow but I live in the area with the best weather right now. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. May it be merry and bright.

Morning all!
I posted earlier but my post seems to have vanished. I kept getting kicked off the site so I suspect I must have used one of 'those' words again... I can't think what it could possibly have been though as I was talking about chicken soup!

I am sure it will be a merry day.Wish daughter could be there with her hubby and twin girls, but they will next year.I am grateful though,to be spending it with son and family and the grandsons are just so excited.
The weather isn't as hot as last week, should make for a beautiful day as long as I can get petrol. Most servos are out of fuel here because of a fire in Brisbane. As soon as it comes in ,there is a queue up which I haven't had time to join.As a last resort,we will syphon some from the ride on jerry can.

Tami - glad your son seems to be feeling better. I must admit my Mum made better soup than I ever could.

Nola - fuel situation seemed to be improving in Brisbane yesterday - but I think it was just a Christmas lurk to put up the price of fuel, especially diesel. Hope enough get through to Bundaberg for you. Our Caltex servos have fuel again and the fire was at their refinery.

Tami, my mother is the one who likes to cause trouble. d1 had her hair cut about 2 weeks ago and was very happy with it. Mum has said she is going to take her over to get it cut off. d1 doesn't want it cut off, she wants to grow it even longer, but she won't be able to say no to Nana. I'm not impressed! I'll talk to her quietly and say no for her if I have to!!

No, south of Sydney Nola, and we seem to pay more for everything. We travelled to Port Macquarie earlier this year and I was stunned at the difference in prices in the grocery stores!

Suzy..I remember now where you are from since you jogged my memory.
So it is cheaper up there?
Here fruit & veg are very cheap, and fuel is subsidised by the govt.
Bundy is a small crop haven where many products can be bought for next to nothing.

Suzy, don't let your mom dictate what your daughter's hair looks like. That is her decision and yours. Tell your daughter that I said to let her hair grow as long as she wants. She should be able to decide what she looks like. My mom is always telling me to get a hair cut. My brother once even offered to pay for the haircut. I like my hair not too short, but I am growing it out now so that I can donate it. I donated once before and it was a good feeling.

Fruit and veg are expensive here too Nola. And they are awful! Someone told me they have been frozen or something, I don't know if that is true. There is a family around here who sell veges from their yard. I keep wanting to check it out but they are only open at odd times and I seem to miss them.

Zusy it is called (CA) controlled atmosphere and they can last up to a couple of years, it is almost like freezing and they do loose at lot of their goodness. Most of the major supermarkets sell them.
Off to do ffuts, will be around during the day.
Have a good one whatever you are doing.

I know how you feel. My hair is naturally curly and when it gets long it gets a little out of control, at least as far as she is concerned. I like it long and out of control.

Rachel, my dog, just came up for a visit. My pooter is upstairs in my bedroom. She has a bed up here and came to visit. I just have to keep her out of the bathroom. She likes to empty out the garbage cans.

It is time to feed the beastie boys, at least the older one. Not sure if the younger one is going to have much more than chicken noodle soup, mommy's home made.
