Now, I really must leave for the night, as it's 1 am and we have another early morning. I will try to pop back in again before Christmas, but can't make any promises. I just had to switch back to this avatar - my favorite, as it reminds me of my childhood tree. The unused C avatars will need to wait until next year. I hope all of you and your families have many wonderful experiences in the next days leading up to the end of the year! Happy, Happy!

Julie..... a perfect TOPP!

I shouldn't be up right now, but some loudmouth decided that it was a good idea to bark their fool head off around the corner from the bedroom door. Every time I got up to silence the idiot, all dogs were laying there seemingly asleep. As soon as I got back in bed, the barking began again.

I think everyone must be busy wrapping presents, baking goodies , partying or generally getting ready for Christmas Day.
I have just put a pineapple in the blender with a little water and we are enjoying a lovely fresh pineapple drink while taking a break from getting rid of stuff out of the spare bedrooms. You can actually see the beds now!

I am not sure if I will have much time to be here tomorrow so I would like to take the time now to wish each and everyone of you a wonderful Holiday Season and Health and Happiness for 2009.

Thank you for all the support you have all given me over the last 4-5 months. It has been wonderful to be able to sit here and 'unwind'. Yes we all understand what we all mean to each other.

Maen Sudokuland! Come and have a cuppa with me, you know you need one.

Not as cold this morning, I am happy to say and but the wind chill puts us below freezing even though temperature does not. We are warming, and will be shirt sleeve weather Wednesday through Saturday again. Changeable weather here. Winter comes in 3 or 4 day stints, then it is warmer again.

I must go out today, to library and pharmacy. Hope not too many people at pharmacy, but as it is in a store, not stand alone, might be a crowd. I might pop in the grocery for a Baking hen, I have not had enough chicken/turkey and dressing. Too late for turkey, they are frozen and require about 3 days of thawing.

We planned to go to Al's brothers for christmas Day, but we had car trouble on trip to my sister's house. the new thermostat Al put in did not repair it, it is a strange problem. So today to parts store and try something else, and I am not sure I want to make another 2 hour trip when car is not reliable! So we may need our own chicken and dressing here!

Heidi, my inlaws probably wish they had your weather. It is a little too cold and snowy for them. Last night with the wind chill it brought it down to -20F! It's supposed to warm up today to 20F and get up to the 30's by Christmas!

Heidi - I couldn't help but giggle at your dogs feigning sleep when you got up to silence them...clever little fellas!
MzT - so sorry to hear about your car woes...hope Al can fix the problem so you can make the trek.
Like Stella, I want to send my "get well" wishes to Beanie Baby, Steve and Tami's not-so-beastie boy. Not the time to be feeling ill with the big day around the corner.

I'm back up and awake this time. The feed truck is due to arrive in about 15 minutes, with feed for sheep and cows. Then I need to go to town for dog and poultry feeds. Then I can relax worry free tomorrow.

GOOD LUCK on your trip to town, MizT!!!

I have a feeling that it's going to be really quiet here on site over the Holidays.

The feed truck hasn't arrived yet. Everything else is on hold until they've delivered the feed.

Just stopped in for a few minutes to say hello. Took son to doctor today as he started running a fever. It is just a head cold, gave me some cough syrup for him. He just needs to rest and drink plenty of fluids. I want him to get better as he has a busy weekend. Friday his aunt and uncle are taking both boys to lunch and a movie as part of their Chanukah gift. Sunday we are going to an engagement brunch for my nephew and soon-to-be niece. Sunday afternoon my family is coming for dinner and to exchange Chanukah presents. Hopefully a few days of rest and mommy's homemade chicken soup will help.

So true Heidi, you are not considered a true Jewish mother until you master making chicken soup.
